Gallup: Big Government Feared Most

Since Obama has been President the percentage of Democrats who say Big Government is more of a threat to this country has risen 16% to 48%. Percentage of Democrats who view Big Business as the biggest threat? 44%.

Americans’ concerns about the threat of big government continue to dwarf those about big business and big labor, and by an even larger margin now than in March 2009. The 64% of Americans who say big government will be the biggest threat to the country is just one percentage point shy of the record high, while the 26% who say big business is down from the 32% recorded during the recession. Relatively few name big labor as the greatest threat.

Arrogance And Condescension Are But Masks To Hide Insecurity

As a country boy with six years of formal schooling, I am hardly the one to question the role of intellectuals in politics; however, after reading an article by Gary Gutting in the New York Times, I am reminded of a university professor who asked me to help him with a mule problem.

I love mules, but you must be careful with a mule, they can kick with lethal force if they feel they have been offended. Since most of my career with horses has been directed more toward sorting out human problems, rather than equine problems, I was a little apprehensive at the prospect of trying to help this professor and his mule. To be honest, professors tend to be among the least capable in matters dealing with animals and simple everyday problems. Problems that men of humble origins and trades can often solve with little or no deliberation, often baffle learned men, who tend to struggle with theory and morality rather than simple and obvious solutions.

Marxism, Just Another Word For Poverty

Karl Marx has indigestion; Cuba has just announced the imposition of private property rights and a citizen’s right to sell and buy real estate.

Fidel and Raul Castro have maintained the most classical example of Marxism in the world for over 50 years: consequently, the Cuban people live in abject poverty under totalitarian rule, while their leaders enjoy their wealth, opulence, and outrageous personal economic portfolios so typical of iron fisted thugs ruling over a Socialist dystopia.

Some free, not subsidized, lessons in common courtesy and humility for the “Occupiers”

Few have a problem with exercising our 1st Amendment rights for redress of grievances. Even when the ultimate cadre of misguided souls band together to work overtime to inflame law enforcement – such as the assault on Oakland police with bottles, rocks and firecrackers preceding all the riot ta..doo last week – in hopes of creating that coveted “Kent State” moment, most of us just grind our teeth, hold our noses when making our way thru the great unwashed to get to places of business, or sit back and wait it out.

But there is a dangerous precedent being created… not dissimilar to when a spoiled child screams for their candy, and a weary parent acquiesces just for a bit of quiet and peace, hoping they’ll outgrow such behavior. Unfortunately, just as the spoiled child learns that making those around him or her unpleasant enough generally results in getting your demands met, the same is happening with the OWS mobs of professional campers, truant college students, and unemployed grads. Needless to say, the OWS hasn’t found the limits of the nation’s patience yet… but they are determined to keep trying.

TEA Party versus OWS Mob

The Democrats are banking on the Occupy Wall Street Mob becoming the sacrificial lambs for the reelection of Obama; however, it is patently obvious, they are not capturing public sympathy with their bizarre messages and disgusting lifestyle. Poets rarely write of the beauty of fleas and parasites or those who carry them.

Their efforts are a but forlorn hope for this fall, reality in the form of winter and or disease will kill them, maybe literally and no one will care. The public is more than willing to concede stupidity is its’ own reward; especially, in the “rebel without a cause” type of syndrome of ignorance.

Liberal Pundits Bemoan The Loss Of The Great White RINO

Facing an inevitable Liberal blood bath in 2012, mainly because of the ineptness and incompetence of the Obama Administration, Liberals have been quick to rally behind the next best option, a New England Rino. They are willing to admit that perhaps the Socialism and cronyism of Obama wasn’t what the country needed these nearly three years of an ever worsening financial situation.

However, secretly they wonder whether the Liberal brand can survive the catastrophic repercussions resulting from the imposition of an ideological Socialism during these lean economic times.
