Under the control of Democrats the budget of the United States has grown by a trillion dollars in the last few years.
Obama and the Democrats have exploded federal spending. They have a two pronged effort to ruin this country underway- one is to irretrievably bury us in debt and the second is simple denial.
Because that’s all it is.
A truce.
They made a deal late last night to fund the government for another six months, while cutting 49 billion, and not defunding the abortion factory, er, Planned Parenthood. So both sides got a bit what of they wanted…which is how negotiations are supposed to work.
Harry Reid: “I am extremely disappointed that after weeks of productive negotiations with Speaker Boehner, Tea Party Republicans are scrapping all the progress we have made and threatening to shut down the government if they do not get all of their extreme demands…The division between the Tea Party and mainstream Republicans is preventing us from reaching a responsible solution on a long-term budget.”
Howard Dean: “If I was head of DNC, I would be quietly rooting for [a government shutdown].”
White, 63 year-old Howard Dean: “The TEA party is all over 55 and white; this is a shrinking minority. The shrinkier they get, the madder they get. This is why they have gotten so far off the deep end.” You make the call, whether or not he has gotten so far off the deep end. EEEEEYAH!!
Curt pointed out the “unrepentant” Terry Jones to us here. Jones held a mock trial and burned a Quran on March 20. The reaction in the Muslin world has been as uncivilized, vicious and barbaric as it was predictable.

News reporter Chris Matthews on the Japan disaster: “Was this sort of a good opportunity for the President to remind everybody that he grew up in the United States and Hawaii? That’s the first thing that I thought of.”
Senate leader Harry Reid on the Republicans budget which cuts too much from the budget: “The mean-spirited bill, H.R. 1, eliminates National Public Broadcasting. It eliminates the National Endowment of the Humanities, National Endowment of the Arts. These programs create jobs. The National Endowment of the Humanities is the reason we have in northern Nevada every January a cowboy poetry festival. Had that program not been around, the tens of thousands of people who come there every year would not exist.”
Funny thing.
If you search for Democrats’ position on Moammar Muammar Qaddafi Khaddafi Gadaffi Gadhafi Kadaffy Gaddafi, after a bit you’ll find that they have none.
Reid, Pelosi, Hoyer, Durbin- nothing. Democrats are all oddly silent, except for the loony Cynthia McKinney who gave a speech in support of Gaddafi back in 2009:
New White House Press secretary, Jay Carney, when asked about the Stimulus, said, “The goals [of the Stimulus package] have been met.”
Jay Carney: “The reality, as time passed, was, the hole that we were in…was much deeper than we knew even in December or November.” Recall that the Bush recession was compared over and over and over again to the Great Depression.
DNC chairman Tim Kaine: “Governors and others in state houses across this country on the Republican side have decided what they want to do is wage a war against their own employees.”
CBS suggests that Sarah Palin is somehow responsible for the shooting of Arizona Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords: “…critics of Sarah Palin have already drawn a link between the shooting and the fact that the former Alaska governor put Giffords on a “target list” of lawmakers Palin wanted to see unseated in the midterm elections.”
