#OWS – It’s the words you don’t hear that matter [Reader Post]
Count Basie once said
“It’s the notes you don’t hear that matter.”
And for Barack Obama, it is the words you haven’t heard that matter.

Orlando Jones may be best known for his days as a comedic TV pitchman. This latest suggestion, though, is no laughing matter.
The former soda slinger who spent years telling people to “Make 7 Up Yours” fired off a series of tweets on October 22nd following the death of deposed Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi. After discussing Kanye West’s trip to Occupy Wall Street, Jones wrote, “Libyan Rebels kill Gaddafi, if American liberals want respect they better stop listening to Aretha & kill Sarah Palin(:”
Once upon a time, when a Republican was President, the use of drones to kill terrorists was cowardly.
Yep, the lefties are at it again. Seething with impotent rage over their inability to capture the spirit of the Tea Party they are making yet another attempt at imitation. I’ve documented previously how Leftists’ responses to the Tea Party have resembled the Five Stages of Death and Dying. The coffee party fizzled, the “No Labels” movement was anything but, and jumping up and down and screaming “Racist terrorist tea bagging downgrade!” until they were red in the face hasn’t changed the dynamic.
Four New York State Senators, Jeff Klein, Diane Savino, David Carlucci and David Valesky (all Democrats btw…surprise, surprise), have all signed off on a proposal to turn your free speech right, a right that is inherent to all people by virture of their being people, into a right that can be restricted.
Proponents of a more refined First Amendment argue that this freedom should be treated not as a right but as a privilege — a special entitlement granted by the state on a conditional basis that can be revoked if it is ever abused or maltreated.
Bryan Preston calls it the Save democracy…by killing democracy theory. Of courseher office, and some in the press, are already giving her a pass by calling it a joke but I have yet to see any video to prove she was indeed just “joking”:
As a way to solve the national debt crisis, North Carolina Democratic Gov. Beverly Perdue recommends suspending congressional elections for the next couple of years.
Senator Chuck Schumer, Democrat, N.Y. thinks the president’s plan to raise the taxes on households making more than $250,000 may require a special dispensation for New Yorkers.
After President Obama unveiled his totally new plan for the new plan for deficit-reduction that Americans hear about every other month, the plan that raises taxes on households that have an income of over $250,000, he flew to New York for a fundraising event (tickets were priced at $36,000).
A reporter, Marcia Kramer asked lawmakers from the New York region what they thought of President Obama’s tax plans. Most of the legislators were in step with the president, but Schumer stood up for his limousine Liberals. He supports the millionaire’s tax, but with caveats. He feels the $250,000 limit is unacceptable for the metropolitan area of New York, because of the high cost of living within the city.
But since there is a black President, he gets a pass.
Unhappy members of the Congressional Black Caucus “probably would be marching on the White House” if Obama were not president, according to CBC Chairman Rep. Emanuel Cleaver (D-Mo.).
President Obama has attached a big number to his jobs bill: 1.9 million.
At a private fundraiser last night, Obama said his proposal would create 1.9 millions jobs, while reducing the 9.1% unemployment rate by a percentage point; he also said it would add two percentage points to the gross domestic product.
That “private fundraiser”? $38,500 a head. Clearly, uber-wealthy democrats believe Obama will protect uber-wealthy democrats.
Last year, the Department of Energy gave Solyndra a $535 million loan guarantee funded through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. Five-year-old Solyndra was the first company to receive a loan guarantee, and it has become a poster child for the success of federal stimulus spending and its ripple effects on the economy.
It’s become a poster child for certain, but hardly in that manner.
