The Obama Administration’s support of the Muslim Brotherhood revolutionaries in the Middle East, beginning with deposing Mubarak in Egypt then spreading destabilization to Tunisia, Libya and Syria, ignited an out-of-control fire that has consumed practically all of North Africa and the Middle East. The inferno still rages and is imposing irreversible consequences on the West.
The Obama Administration backed revolutionaries who were bent on imposing Sharia law and eradicating what were twistedly deemed enemies of Allah. There were no moderate revolutionaries in the Middle East, and yet, Obama and Clinton were determined to ignite chaos, perhaps believing that somewhere down the “Yellow Brick Road” in their dreams would be found some moderates. The obvious in front of them seemed invisible. The instability fashioned by Obama decimated Christianity’s presence in all Muslim nations across the top of the African continent. Clinton admitted to providing, “training and guidance to the Muslim Brotherhood.”
As with every other major action it has taken, this Administration imposed its anti-West agenda, against all common sense, wisdom, insight or reason. Obama and Clinton overthrew Gadhafi opposing all warnings from their own military leadership. Gadhafi was battling Islamic fundamentalist rebels, and yet Clinton decided to support them. Obama and Clinton had decided on regime change. Clinton lied to America with claims that Gadhafi was planning mass killings of demonstrators — so off she went, supporting Jihadists. No wonder she destroyed her email server. It is also not surprising that she was able to solicit support from Kerry and McCain for her egregious assertions.
Responsibility for this massively consequential fraud lays at the hands of Obama, Jarrett, Clinton, Kerry, Rice, Power, among others. This level of stupidity was profound, and yet, it still continues to self-righteously hold the reigns of power. Under Obama’s and Clinton’s watch, the anarchy, chaos and genocide spread, infecting the whole of the Middle East.
Across the top of the African continent Obama and Clinton ensured that their plans for destabilization would wash across Libya, Tunisia and Algeria. With the exception of Morocco, the sabotage was complete. The result?
The formerly stable governments of these nations across North Africa, as distasteful as they were, — Algeria, Tunisia and Libya, had long established and protected borders. Their disintegration has been like a release valve blowing wide open to the pressures of the African continent. These nations had in effect created a barrier between Europe and hundreds of millions of people in Somalia, Ethiopia, Sudan, Chad, Niger, Mali, Zaire, Kenya, etc., who had known little but strife and starvation from long histories of tribal conflict and abusive dictators. Obama and Clinton blew the top off the continent. As to the slaughter of Ambassador Stevens in September of 2012, “what difference at this point does it make?”
Today, ISIS is conducting beheadings on the beaches of Libya, and human traffickers are doing a booming business trucking people north out of Africa and to the shores of the Mediterranean. From there they overload anything capable of floating them to Europe. Many who start out, do not survive the ride through long stretches of desert, and fewer still make it over the waves of the Mediterranean and to the beaches of Italy or Greece or France or Spain. Millions are nevertheless anxious to attempt the voyage.
The attraction of perceived stability and the social breadbaskets of Europe is a siren song that is calling to millions who are willing to risk their lives, coming across and through the now unstable North African countries.
Intended or not, malicious or not, the Obama and Clinton decisions are now responsible for the daily loss of thousands of lives. Obama’s Arab Spring has transformed into an enforced “wealth redistribution” for Europe.
The world is disintegrating rapidly. America’s leadership? Other than giving “aid and comfort” to America’s enemies such as those in Teheran or in Havana, it is Out Golfing.
A constituent of the vast baby boomer generation with a career which has been fortunate to know the ponderous corporate worlds, as well as the intimately pressurized, and invigorating entrepreneurial domains of high tech and venture capital, I have harvested my share of mistakes meandering through corridors of enterprise from Silicon Valley, to London and endless, colourful, sometimes praetorian points in between. The voyage has provided an abundance of fodder for a pen yielding to an inquisitive keyboard, a foraging mind, and a passionate spirit.
Whether political or business or social or economic or personal, is it not all political? It is a privilege to write, and an even greater privilege to be read by anyone, and sometimes with the wind at my back the writing may occasionally be legible. I do not write to invite scorn, nor to invite respect, but if I get really lucky the writing can stimulate thinking. I also write for the very selfish purpose of animating my own processes, and engaging the best of what life offers. Above all, whether biting fire or swatting shadows, I am grateful to be gifted the freedom to write and publish whatever flows down to the keyboard. To all those who enabled this freedom, and to all those standing guard to preserve it, I am indebted.
Lest we forget the Muslim Brotherhood/Code Pink link that really got going in 2010 while Mubarak was still Egypt’s president.
Note that Code Pink founder, Jodie Evans is a good friend of Obama.

“…malicious or not…”
C’mon.

MM, hang on a moment, . . . . there, . . . . got my tongue out of my cheek. I should have intensified the sarcasm a whole bunch. These idiots are not only corrupt, they are dangerous to America. I think even Europe is depressed about this Admin.
“The attraction of perceived stability and the social breadbaskets of Europe is a siren song that is calling to millions who are willing to risk their lives, coming across and through the now unstable North African countries.”
And when they arrive, instead of joining the cultures that created those attractive conditions, they bring their failed culture with them.
Sort of like when California liberals infect other, better states.
@James Raider:
Unfortunately Europe has more than it’s fair share of socialist-globalist betrayers.
It is a dismal legacy, when the best commentary for a president’s foreign policy is categorized under the headings of incompetence, feckless, and failure. Our president still functions as a lobbyist for Islam and still refuses to acknowledge the truth: Islam is responsible for nearly all the terror and bloodshed in the world today. It is this man’s resolute foolishness and refusal to face the truth that has plunged the Middle East into barbarism and chaos.
Obama is a lame duck; our best option is to elect a man who can reverse or neutralize the damage caused by the failed president as quickly as possible.
@Skookum:
Good point about Obama being a failed president.
We are going to need a (as Osama bin Ladin would say) strong horse as leader next time around.
One of Donald Trump’s blind spots is Islam.
He sees an oil-rich client for his developments and mistakes their riches as if it means it has good governance.
No Islamic state has good governance.
Just some Islamic states can hide their poor governance behind riches.
Islam’s Sharia, to the extent it rules a state, always fails to create a land that can stand on its own without resorting to expansionism and enslavement.
The Arab
spring began in Ieaq with the overthrow of Saddam, remember ?
The Euros. France and Britain our allies they were the ones who did all the heavy lifting for the rebels in Libya THEY were the one who provided the arms and the ground troops, not the USA
Betrayal???? Europe likes Obama much more than they fellow he replaced, but of course you knew that, just forgot to mention it
The days of the USA hoping to be the policeman of the world are over. If europe wants to try and control events in other countries let them have a go. But after seeing how our efforts in Afghanistan and Iraq turned out, they probably know better.
And by the by James as a baby boomer did you serve in the Vietnam disaster?
@Petercat: Great analogy w/ CA!
Mr Raider,
Sorry, it was late and a long day, I just missed the tongue in cheek.
The piece is dead on the money. These REgressives are squirrels at the end of a branch with saws.
Obama and Hillary had an opportunity to make history: Take the mess of post-invasion Middle East, support both Khadafi (who, remember, finally did what we’d been demanding he do–thanks for nothing, US!) and Egypt’s relatively stable governments, if only for the moment, and the attempted uprising in Iran, and be seen as the heroes who helped freedom spread in anti-freedom Islam Central.
Oh, wow, look that I did there–I acted as if those two WANTED to support democracy and freedom, and put a stopper on anti-woman/anti-gay/anti-freedom Islam! Boy, is my face red!
Meanwhile, Obama’s true feelings are quite clear when he’s saying his fellow Americans–Republicans–are with the mullahs; Obama demands an easing of sanctions to the #1 terrorist state which has been killing our people as the most visible element of the post-Iraq invasion war; Obama throws a lifeline to Cuba (which has had relations with pretty much everyone but the US, so why isn’t it a jewel, all it’s had to sacrifice were evil American dollars)…
If you went back in time to 2008 and told folks Obama would do all this, you’d be called a rightwing racist lunatic birther.
@Ditto: #5
Ditto, I also fully appreciate that Europe has been complacent in the knowledge that America would ‘protect’ it.
They saved hundreds of billions of dollars by letting America ‘spend’ on military build-up. And that still hasn’t made enough room for the EU’s socialist spending policies. In places like Egypt & Libya, they had little choice but pretend to act, since Obama/Clinton didn’t want to appear to take the lead.
Nevertheless, Obama/Clinton’s agenda controlled the day in the destruction of North Africa’s fragile stability.
@Skookum: #6
Skook, if I’m not mistaken, the only person I’ve heard make an emphatic statement of commitment thus far is Cruz. He claims that his first act if elected will be to repeal every Obama executive action. I’d like to hear that from each of the leaders in the running.
@JSW: #11
JSW you’re right about Gadhafi having eased his lunacy. Once he realized that we could drop a bomb on his ‘tent’, . . . and did, his bluster changed in vigor. He toned it down significantly, realizing that breathing vapors might a better concept than being vaporized.
A stable North Africa also provided weight to the counter-balance against Iranian expansion and mayhem through surrogates.
It was obvious then, it is obvious now, and yet, the Obama mindset ignores it.
It’s important to remember Obola, Biden, and Hilldabeast all told America that we have a STABALE Iraq so the libturd blame Bush for all things is BS as usual!!
@James Raider: It truly is startling how the MSM simply IGNORED that detail. It was as if Khadafi (sp?) never stopped being a terrorist, and enabling his killing was just one more thing Obama had to take care of after Bush left office. Andrea Mitchel and company just kind of skipped that part of the story, when it seems to me that it is a key element, along with our treatment of Egypt. It goes along with the ongoing worship of Jimmy Carter, as if sitting by while the shah went down in flames was no big deal. But complexity, and explaining complex realities, just doesn’t seem to be something ‘reporters’ are into. That’s too ‘blue collar’ for them; they know op-ed is where it’s at. No one seems to want to report, they all want to interpret i.e. tell us HOW to think about these events, forget the basic reporting of the facts so we can decide for ourselves.
@john:
Umm, No it didn’t.
Try reading some history
@OddJob: Great post.
