Like The Man In A Silo

There is an old proverb in the country that is used to describe a man who wastes time and can’t get any thing done. It is said, “He runs around like a man in a silo looking for a corner to piss in.” Our president often reminds me of such a man; although it can be argued he flaunts our traditional system by making the EPA regulations into his own form of tyranny.

President Obama has just sent an email to his supporters, a group growing smaller and consequently requiring less cyber ink with the passage of time.

Obama claims to have a plan to get America back to work and he is asking for a joint session of congress to explain the plan.

He explains that it is ultimately up to congress to implement his plan and do what they were elected to do; apparently, in his opinion they were elected to be his rubber stamp.

Friend —

Today I asked for a joint session of Congress where I will lay out a clear plan to get Americans back to work.

Next week, I will deliver the details of the plan and call on lawmakers to pass it. Whether they will do the job they were elected to do is ultimately up to them.

But both you and I can pressure them to do the right thing. We can send the message that the American people are playing by the rules and meeting their responsibilities—and it’s time for our leaders in Congress to meet theirs. And we must hold them accountable if they don’t.

So I’m asking you to stand with me in calling on Congress to step up and take action on jobs:

No matter how things go in the weeks and months ahead, this will be an important challenge for our organization.

It’s been a long time since Congress was focused on what the American people need them to be focused on. I know that you’re frustrated by that. I am, too. That’s why I’m putting forward a set of bipartisan proposals to help grow the economy and create jobs—that means strengthening our small businesses, giving needed breaks to middle-class families, while taking responsible steps to bring down our deficit. I’m asking lawmakers to look past short-term politics and take action on that plan. But we’ve got to do this together.

I will deliver this message to Congress next week, but I’m asking you to stand alongside me today:

More to come,

I am sure the witless hordes are waiting breathlessly for marching orders from Dear Reader and I am sure they are impressed with the personal message that was written by one of his erudite saps he keeps around for the trivial and mundane tasks, like writing a note that people can read and understand.

He is on the ropes. He wasted two years with a health care plan that is a debacle and will hopefully be rewritten or thrown down the outhouse hole, and while he tied his useless and fiscally ruinous dream around the neck of the American public, he ignored the job crisis. Now he takes a public relations nightmare of an elitist vacation in a $50,000 a week resort, expecting America to pick up the tab and with total arrogance he and his wife fly out on separate jets spaced three hours apart, but in all fairness, he was concentrating on a plan to put America to work and his golf game. After giving our Affirmative Action President the benefit of the doubt for two years, it is time to unload on this dilettante who lives the life of luxury while unemployment edges closer to double digits.

He is blaming congress for his own inability to do something constructive, after he had control of both houses for two years.

He can run in circles for the next 14 months, but there are no magic corners in that silo of stupidity and arrogance.

The round silo. Reminds me of the story we were told by my friends Dad every time we went trout fishing in a stream named Jenny Ganselic (sic) creek located in Green NY. Each time as we approached the Round dairy barn his dad would say, that’s were old farmer John went crazy. And each time we would all ask what happened, knowing the answer? My friends Dad would then smilingly say well he couldn’t fine a corner to poop in. We would all laugh conjuring up the image of Farmer John with his overhauls down around his ankles running in circles. That about sums up the obama administration and all of his brilliant staffers.

My Dad and Grand-Dad told a very similar story each and every time we passed by a round building. In their version the poor guy wandered ’round in there for four days looking for a corner to pee in.

I am proudly carrying on the tradition with my children (especially the boys) much to my wife’s dismay. 🙂

I’ve added to the family repertoire the story of “mountain cows”…you know…the ones that have shorter legs on one side so that they can stand up straight on inclines. Wish I could have captured the wide-eyed wonder when I told them that the first couple of times…pointing out how all the cows were all headed the same way in the pasture. Heh!

Latest on the “dust-up” (per Carney) over The Speech. Now MSNBC claims “opposition” to The Speech was “Over the color of his skin”
What “opposition”? Just more racist baloney….

The big question over all of the hoopla surrounding Obama’s “speech”, is just how far the markets will drop on Friday.

It will be interesting to see whether the democrat members of congress cheer wildly in support of Obamas’ plans to borrow and spend more money. They’re up for re-election, too.

Isn’t Obama’s speech supposed to be about JOBS?
Isn’t he supposedly trying to bring down unemployment?
Then why did the White House’s mid-session review carried some grim news today, projecting that unemployment rates will stay at 9 percent next year with a scaled-back overall economic growth rate?
Isn’t Obama’s ”plan” going to fix all that?
Or will his speech be a string of excuses?
As if no other president in US history had to contend with Congress and ”events.”

When I hear Obumbles speak, I hear the same things my cats hear when I talk to them…blah blah blahaaaa, blah blah blahaaa, blah blah…. Because anything that comes out of his mouth amounts to just that…

Maybe he’ll surprise us and announce that he’s opening up ANWR, the gulf coast, the California coast, the Everglades, and the Continental Shelf, for drilling and repealing all EPA regulations on the mining and burning of coal. Then he’ll announce, “I made a serious mistake when I signed the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, and I urge Congress to repeal it immediately.” After that, he’ll propose that Congress should make the Bush tax cuts permanent rather than expiring next year.

@John Cooper:

And the kicker – the senate would block all of that!

Skookum: What’s that black object on the bottom-left of the photo that looks like a pipe sticking up with vapor coming out the end? I can’t quite make it out.

Skook, the “Friend” letter above is the product of a simple mind, talking down to more simple minds.
It lies.
It misrepresents.
It somewhat pretends to “care.”
It allocates Blame to Congress ahead of time, just in case it won’t do his bidding.
It pretends to Be With, and On The Side of, those simple minds.
It is arrogant in the extreme.

. . . and this crap comes from the Oval Office?
How pathetic. Hmmm, . . . . no, how embarrassing.

JC, I think it is a fence post and that is snow on the mountain, not steam.

JR, after jack Cashill’s latest article, we know it wasn’t written by O’bumbles. The simplicity and benevolence of the caring demigod is crafty in the extreme. They play these saps like fish on a line. They don’t need facts or logic, just a scenario and talking points for the willfully ignorant to repeat ad infinitum. The saps or lemmings feel like they are part of a movement that is bigger than the self and in that devious method lies the secret of controlling the minds of the gullible. Thus Obama hopes to control an army of the lowest common denominators.

We need only read the commentary on their websites to confirm this hypothesis. They have importance and staus in this life for the first time and their president recognizes their existence, how much better can it be. The old parable of the blind leading the blind comes to mind, but in this case it is the clueless leading the hopeless.

Three words that totally and completely summarize the Obama presidency.

“Affirmative Action President”

Hey Skookum, you got cross-posted over on iOTW:

Now we get some more insight into why this poseur was “FURIOUS” over the Congress not accepting his “Joint Session” date (A White House source complained, ‘This was a political thing, a tea party thing, a Rush Limbaugh thing.’).

HISTORICALLY, Congress INVITES the President once they agree on a date – as long as there is NO CONFLICT (which this president created by wanting to “speak” the night of the Republican Debate). This president demanded to speak to the Joint Session – he did not request. A very megalomaniac attitude, if you ask me.

Also, this “speech” is TOTALLY POLITICAL and will be intentionally used to place his enemies in a negative light. Again, HISTORICALLY, Joint Sessions of Congress are reserved for important occasions, foreign visitors, or disasters (such as Bush’s ONLY non-SotU Address right after 9/11).

And yet, there are STILL ‘alleged’ Americans who back this man, the most Anti-American president in the history of our country. It turns my stomach every time I have to explain to ‘so called’ intelligent people what is really happening to our beloved America. There are truly “Ignorant Masses” and they have been indoctrinated all of their lives to hate America, patriotism, Capitalism (the engine of our culture and country), and even the U.S. Constitution.

If the Republicans were smart, and they tend to give Obama what he wants any how, just pass his silly jobs plan and hang it around his throat. It will create zero jobs, the Reps can’t be viewed as obstructionists, and Obama will get the blame, again.

But, they’re too stupid to be smart.

The Doktor,
yes, very sad to see those ignoring stupidity, while they profit from the man
in front , all they have to do is stay there and pretend they are bright, fortunatly we have some of the TEA PARTY always on the watch for the best future of AMERICA, THE GREATEST OF THE WORLD,

When I read the header I thought Skookum had written a hilarious parody of an Obama e-mail.
But no — it’s the real thing from SCOAMF Central.
