Unfit for office [Reader Post]

The 3 am call came and Obama didn't answer.

Virtually nothing this administration has said about the attacks in Benghazi is true.

They lied about what happened, they lied about who was responsible, they lied about the cause.

They watched them die.

On Fox News this morning, Rep. Louie Gohmert said that an attack on a US Ambassador is the equivalent of an attack on a four star general. It's something that a President knows about. And there is really no doubt Obama knew what was going on.

When the consulate came under attack there were at least three requests for help.

Fox News has learned from sources who were on the ground in Benghazi that three urgent requests from the CIA annex for military back-up during the attack on the U.S. Consulate and subsequent attack nearly seven hours later were denied by officials in the CIA chain of command — who also told the CIA operators to “stand down” rather than help the ambassador’s team when shots were heard at approximately 9:40 p.m. in Benghazi on Sept. 11.

It is simply mindboggling to think that an administration would give orders not to defend an Ambassador and the Americans around him.

Who gave these orders? The Fox report suggests it was the CIA “chain of command.” But word comes from David Petraeus, the head of the CIA, that those orders did not come from the CIA.

Breaking news on Benghazi: the CIA spokesman, presumably at the direction of CIA director David Petraeus, has put out this statement: “No one at any level in the CIA told anybody not to help those in need; claims to the contrary are simply inaccurate. ”

Then Kristol suggests those orders had to come directly from Barack Obama.

So who in the government did tell “anybody” not to help those in need? Someone decided not to send in military assets to help those Agency operators. Would the secretary of defense make such a decision on his own? No.

It would have been a presidential decision. There was presumably a rationale for such a decision. What was it? When and why—and based on whose counsel obtained in what meetings or conversations—did President Obama decide against sending in military assets to help the Americans in need?

Obama was asked directly about this and he refused to answer the question:

In an interview with a Denver TV reporter Friday, President Obama twice refused to answer questions as to whether the Americans under siege in Benghazi, Libya on September 11, 2012, were denied requests for help, saying he’s waiting for the results of investigations before making any conclusions about what went wrong.

After being asked about possible denials of requests for aid, and whether it’s fair to tell Americans that what happened is under investigation and won’t be released until after the election, the president said, “the election has nothing to do with four brave Americans getting killed and us wanting to find out exactly what happened. These are folks who served under me who I had sent to some very dangerous places. Nobody wants to find out more what happened tha

n I do.”

President Obama told KUSA-TV’s Kyle Clarke large that “we want to make sure we get it right, particularly because I have made a commitment to the families impacted as well as to the American people, we’re going to bring those folks to justice. So, we’re going to gather all the facts, find out exactly what happened, and make sure that it doesn’t happen again but we’re also going to make sure that we bring to justice those who carried out these attacks.”

Clark pressed again.

“Were they denied requests for help during the attack?” he asked.

“Well, we are finding out exactly what happened,” the president again said. “I can tell you, as I’ve said over the last couple of months since this happened, the minute I found out what was happening, I gave three very clear directives. Number one, make sure that we are securing our personnel and doing whatever we need to. Number two, we’re going to investigate exactly what happened so that it doesn’t happen again. Number three, find out who did this so we can bring them to justice. And I guarantee you that everyone in the state department, our military, the CIA, you name it, had number one priority making sure that people were safe. These were our folks and we’re going to find out exactly what happened, but what we’re also going to do it make sure that we are identifying those who carried out these terrible attacks.”

The President seems to be the only person on Earth who doesn't know what happened in Benghazi.

There seems little doubt that the stand down order came from the White House. The question is why?

I suspect that what we're going to hear is that Obama did not want to violate the sovereignty of Libya.

That would prove to be indefensible. Obama would be seen as having no objection to violating Pakistan's sovereignty to get Bin Laden but unwilling to violate Libya's sovereignty to save a US Ambassador.

The story continues to get worse. A former Delta operator made this remark at Blackfive:

Having spent a good bit of time nursing a GLD (ground Laser Designator) in several garden spots around the world, something from the report jumped out at me.

One of the former SEALs was actively painting the target. That means that Specter WAS ON STATION! Probably an AC130U. A ground laser designator is not a briefing pointer laser. You do not “paint” a target until the weapons system/designator is synched; which means that the AC130 was on station.

Only two places could have called off the attack at that point; the WH situation command (based on POTUS direction) or AFRICOM commander based on information directly from the target area.

If the AC130 never left Sigonella (as Penetta says) that means that the Predator that was filming the whole thing was armed.

If that SEAL was actively “painting” a target; something was on station to engage! And the decision to stand down goes directly to POTUS!

From what we know to this point, it appears that Obama did not just watch them die, he let them die.

A father of a slain SEAL wants answers. He wants to know who made the decision not to try to save his son.

Charles Woods, the father of Tyrone Woods, who was killed in the 9/11 terrorist attack at the American consulate in Benghazi, Libya, reveals details of meeting Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton at the publically broadcast memorial service for the slain Americans at Andrews Air Force Base only days after the attack. And, in a recent radio appearance, Woods publicly questions who made the call not to send in back-up forces to possibly save his son’s life, as well as the three other Americans killed in Benghazi (which includes the American ambassador to Libya).

Over at Fireandreamitchell a great point is made. When Obama needed the SEALs they were there for him, When the SEALs needed Obama he let them die.

Barack Obama is not fit for the office he occupies.

ThunderGod
MITT ROMNEY IS LEADING IN OHIO
BY A GOOD MARGIN FOR THE FIRST TIME,
HOW’S THAT FOR REFRESHMENT? HAVE ONE ON ME,
BYE

@ThunderGod:

Already, even before Sandy hits, Barack has his face in front of the cameras, telling how FEMA has already been activated and how the administration is going to do so much to help those in the way of the storm.

Just 13 months ago, a county in my state lost 1,557 homes, displaced over 6,000 people, due to a wild fire. People lost their business, their homes, their cattle, their very livlihoods. And Obama? He ignored it completely. Not ONE word about how people were suffering in Texas, trying to dig through the ashes that were once their entire lives. And FEMA? Well, apparently Obama thinks sending TWO FEMA representatives to find out who had insurance, and who didn’t, was the answer to such a large disaster.

Oh, but wait! That was Texas and Obama knows he doesn’t have many votes here but he does in New York. So rush out to make sure all those East Coast liberals knows Obama’s on the job. Make sure that all the questions are about Sandy, not Benghazi, and the disgraceful press will follow right along like children following the Piped Piper.

Obama; political pandering in his finest example.

retire05,

Same-same with the Tennessee tornadoes, some mid-west floods…

No Obots present? No Photo-Op for the PEBO? Then, it didn’t happen…

@ThunderGod:

Yeah, I remember when Nashville, and most of Tennessee, flooded. Nothing. Crickets from the Oval Office. Same when the terrible ice storm hit the entire midwest shortly after Obama took office. There were people in Kentucky who never saw ONE FEMA representative, eveh! But let some disaster loom over one of the coasts like California or the Eastern seaboard, and there is Obama, assuring everyone that he is going to personally man the helicopters that will pull them from their roofs. What a joke. He simply thinks people are too stupid to understand his system of patronage.

@Aye: This is nothing compared to what will happen if Obama loses the election.

What don’t you understand about the scale of a disaster that has already caused 375,000 to be ordered to evacuate from NYC alone? Millions are about to lose electrical power.

The President is doing what a president is supposed to do.

@Greg: And what is he doing exactly? Did he federalize the National Guard? Has he declared anywhere disaster areas that allows for federal funds? Just what has he done that excuses him for his inaction in Lybia?

Obama has been consistent in one area:
He is IGNORING rules and red tape for his friends.

@Greg:

On January 21, 2009, CNN (one of your trusted sources) reported that millions were without power from Texas, to Oklahoma, to Missouri, Arkansas, Kentucky, Tennesse and even farther east. A month later, 27 were dead, and many people in Kentucky and Arkansas were still without power. And Obama’s response? Nada. Nil. Nix. Nothing. He never mentioned it, never tried to help and after a month of being without power, the residents of Kentucky complained that they had not seen ONE FEMA worker to come help them.

So you seem to think that Obama should cancel his campaign events (which he did) because a bunch of yankees are going to get a little rain and wind. Are you willing to declare that he should have also cancelled his campaign trip to Vegas the very day after four Americans were slaughtered in Benghazi? Are you ready to say that it was wrong for Obama to go to Vegas and Colorado after such a horrible event?

I doubt it. You like Larry, Moe and Joe can see no wrong in our derilict Commander in Chief.

@Greg: #75 “Needless to say, they lean just a bit to the right. ”
So you’re saying if they are against communists, socialists, terrorists, that they lean ‘right’. So you don’t think any lefties are against those things. I’ll agree with you on that.

@Greg: #77

a credible source that’s actually willing to go on record.

Zero won’t let himself or any of his crew go ‘on the record’ but that’s okay it would likely just continue to be a passel of lies.

@Greg:

The President is doing what a president is supposed to do.

Funny how it’s only when bastions of liberal/progressivity are threatened, or their useful idiots, that he then takes interest. The point from retire05 and others above, about Obama acting disinterested when it’s conservative country, is entirely valid.

Not to mention that it’s interesting that Obama would cancel campaign visits and stops when a storm is barreling down on the east coast, but couldn’t do the same when we still had people over in Libya in harm’s way. Why is that?

@Liberal1 (Objectivity):#87 Lib 1, have you ever heard the saying? “It is better to keep your mouth closed and be thought a fool than to open it and remove all doubt”
That’s what popped into my mind as I was reading your comment.

@Greg: #106

The President is doing what a president is supposed to do.

What, run and get in front of the crowd and holler, I’m the leader? Get publicity? Say vote for me? I’ll pay your car payments and buy your gas for you? Yep you’ve got old Zero figured out, Gregory

@johngalt, #112:

We’re talking about the entire population of eastern coast of the United States, not “the bastion of liberal progressivity.” You know . . . your fellow Americans?

a nasty storm, she is not called hurrycane anymore because
she picked up a cold core from the north,and another west distrurbance
and all is rolling into it’s core, a building collapse, the front wall fell out, and a giant crane collapse,
one person is dead now,
if you are anywhere close to that monster, stay put in your house, away from window

@Greg: Here is another analysis. http://pjmedia.com/blog/questions-for-white-house-over-benghazi-just-beginning/

Greg, you have no idea how the government is supposed to work. You and the rest of the lefties blamed Bush for New Orleans and Katrina. The real culprits were the Democrat Governor and the Mayor. The President can not send in help until the Governor asks for it. FEMA did everything it could to get ready to move, but the call never came from LA.

@Greg:

Hmmm. Maybe you should be getting on Obama about not caring for his “fellow Americans”. After all, I’m not the one that incompetently, or purposefully, allowed FOUR Americans to die over in Libya. And I’m pretty sure that when the floods hit Kentucky and Tennessee, I wasn’t the one who ignored them when they were suffering.

Randy
that was quite a good link, thank you,
I also enjoyed all the comments,
bye

@retire05: #10
““You don’t deploy forces into harm’s way without knowing what’s going on.”
Panetta is pretty ignorant.
Sometimes you have to send forces into harms way in order to find out what’s “going on”.
Ask any Scout. Or LRRP. Or, in fact, any decent military leader.
Smoke, lies, and ignorance. The usual from this administration.

@Greg:
“Whoever made the call, it wouldn’t have been easy, even though the responsible call was obvious. You don’t reflexively send helicopters and people into what might be a carefully planned killing zone. I would think there would be reason to question the judgement of any military leader who advised that course of action. ”
Only if you believe that the Administration knew, when they got the first calls for help, that the attacks might have been “carefully planned”.
Which contradicts what they were saying for so long after the attacks.
Can’t have it both ways, Greg.
And, it would not have to have been an unsupported insertion into the fighting. We had sufficient air-to-ground firepower within reach to do a nice job of softening up any insertion area.

Amazing photos of NYCity under water:
http://www.businessinsider.com/battery-park-flooding-2012-10
It is actually worse than the predictions.
God help them.

I’ve heard that 16 New Yorkers have died.

@Randy: #117
The president can’t activate the National Guard either. The governor has to, and the democrat governor wouldn’t, until it was too late. Of course, the propaganda media blamed it on Bush.

@Smorgasbord: Actually, the Governor can only activate the National Guard on state orders. The President can activate them on federal orders. Declaring a disaster area, allows the National Guard to be activated on federal orders. That is how units of the National Guard go to war. The Governor doesn’t make that decision.

@Randy: #124
If that is true, the president must not be able to activate the National Guard until AFTER a disaster, or George Bush would have had them redy for Hurricane Katrina, but I admit to not knowing much out the subject.

We live in southern Louisiana. Trust me. We all know that it was Blanco and Nagin that blew it in Katrina. Bush was hung out to dry by those two. They hoped that the leftist media would blame him and they did. We here know the true story. So who’s to blame now?

@retire05:

i can say that happened in texas. although i know other states suffered too and were not treated well. i am referencing the wild fires last summer in texas.

Petercat
they did more than that to get rid of GADAFI,
even a third of it would have save lives
with air power theattackers would have scramble fast, because they had a taste of it
with the previous demonstration, and they would not suspect how big this one would be,
it would have make also a statement to not fool around with the USA.
and one more idea; HE is very incline to get the opinion of the UN,
maybe he did and was advise to stay down, it would not have been the first time he take the UN side.
if this is true, it is a blatant interference in the SOVERENGTY OF THE USA,
even the asking advice and depending on the answer is anti AMERICAN ACTION.
BYE

@Smorgasbord: What should have happened is the governor can activate the National Guard with State Orders and State Pay. When the President is asked for help, he can activate the National Guard on Federal orders. Our federalist government by way of the Constitution limits the powers of the federal government and gives most of the power to the states. The Posse Comitatus Act prevents Federal troops from interfering in state business unless there is an emergency that affects more thanone state or the Governor asks fo assistance. The LA governor waited so long to mobilize the National Guard (Takes at least 2 days of preperation to be effective) that the storm was on New Orleans. President Bush had FEMA standing by ready to go when they got the request.

@Randy: #129
Are you trying to say it WASN’T Bush’s fault? That can’t be. LOL

@Smorgasbord: Smorgy, we all know that Bush prayed for the God’s to send Katrina to New Orleans and he hired someone to blow up the levy so it would flood then he stood back and laughed at all the suffering people. That’s pretty much the way retarded people see it as happening. Now back to reality. I live in Louisiana and the Gov and Mayor of New Orleans were responsible to see that citizens got what they needed. They were totally incompetent and were at a Kool Aid drinking party and didn’t ask for any assistance. Once it became evident that they weren’t going to ask, Bush sent in the help anyhow. If you want to bash, just look at what Zero did for those in the Fires in Texas and flooding in Tennesee. I realize most Dimocrats don’t recognize incompetence, but just look at Zero, he’s setting the standard for you.

@Redteam: #131
If a person could keep track, I wonder how many times democrats put politics over human life, compared to republicans. I used to ask people how people like that Louisianaslept at night, until one of them said that they sleep very well in their expensive bed, that’s in their expensive bedroom, that’s in their expensive house, that has an expensive car in it’s expensive garage.

No wonder I never accumulated a lot of wealth. Moral values don’t draw any interest in any money account, but I sleep very well in my air adjustable Sleep Member bed that is in my bedroom, that is in a small apartment, that doesn’t have a garage for my pickup, but I don’t owe anybody anything.

Smorgasbord
hi,
yes big is not always expansives, just like the small brains are not the less smart and big brains
could become empty because of too much spaces between ideas which escape in the void,
just thinking
the last time I was typing to you, there was fire around
your place, and danger of that stained medecine which killed many people and between the two evil you never saw OBAMA
come to the rescue of those which houses burned,
he must like the north east better, we learn they vote for him as usual,
bye

@Smorgasbord:

but I sleep very well in my air adjustable Sleep Member bed

Sleep Member? is that the one where you sleep with a different club member each night? or did you mean Sleep Number by chance. I can’t afford one of those myself. don’t have a garage either. Not many of those flooded out in Louisiana were in Sleep Number beds either, they were mostly not those ‘rich people’ that you are obviously accustomed to associating with.
” Moral values don’t draw any interest” I’d say moral values draw more interest than any other activities, maybe Dimocrats will figure that out one day.

Readteam
and expansive can mean different for each person too.If I want to buy a pair of boots
and the price is 400 dollars, I won’t buy it, because to me it’s a waste of money,
but my niece would spend for that, so we both are different in values,
and we have the same amount of money,
that’s what I learned, the mindset of people is very different,
it make everybody tick differently,
but we all end up at the same place at the end of the road.
bye

Hey, George W was speaking at an alternative investment summit in the Cayman Islands today. $4,400 to attend. Anyone who thinks that’s expensive probably isn’t alternative investor material.

@Greg: How did you know where I was? I bought 4 extra tickets, need one? I got the early bird discount, only 3900 per ticket.

Redteam
that is good, don’t give him a ticket, he will spoil the fun
with his negativeness and arrogance toward the CONSERVATIVES,
and the rich people, it would bring bad=luck to any deal, he would look

@ilovebeeswarzone: #133
In my lifetime, I have seen a lot more happy lower income couples, than I have higher income couples. The lower income couples have to compromise on what they get. If a wealthy couple can’t decide on something, they each buy what they want.

@Smorgasbord: I hear ya, Smorgs. I remember when VCRs were all the rage. I wanted one sooooo bad, but could never afford one, it seemed. This was back when a VCR would set you back anywhere between $400 – $700.

Finally I could wait no longer, so I broke down and traded in my TV on a brand new VCR!!

(Disclaimer: Okay, this is your one bad joke for the day. Smile and go about your business.)
.
.

GREG
the only one we know are GEORGE W BUSH and SIR RICHARD BRANSON,
which I both like, and to know those two is enough to be in wealthy company,
it is good for AMERICA to have a wealthy leader, they have bigger ideas for a country like this USA,
they elevate the spirit of people to outdo themselves in creativity and achievement to benefit all,
as a matter of fact we have had the proof in theses last four years of the mediocrity from governing
it land every one poor and depress and divided fighting each other for only the right to stand up.

@Redteam: #134

..:did you mean Sleep Number…:

This is more proof that I am lousy at remembering names. Many years ago I had Sleep Member in my head, and I can’t delete it like I can in a computer. I am looking for a sleep member.

I can’t afford one of those myself.

They are about the same price as a good quality bed set. Since it is just me, I got the lowest price one they had. You have to sleep on one to find out how comfortable they are.

Not many of those flooded out in Louisiana were in Sleep Number beds either, they were mostly not those ‘rich people’ that you are obviously accustomed to associating with.

Sleep Number beds make great flotation devises, since they are filled with air. Being serious, I was a truck driver for twenty years. The closest I got to ‘rich people’ was delivering products to stores or warehouses the products I couldn’t afford, but others could. The rent for my apartment is $450 per month. It has a living room, bedroom, kitchen, and a bathroom. It’s big enough for me, but small enough my Social Security and two very small pensions pay all of the bills.

I’d say moral values draw more interest than any other activities….

What I said was, “Moral values don’t draw any interest in any money account….” You can’t put moral values in a bank account or IRA and get more back than you put in. Putting a person’s moral values in their community can give many times more back than they invested, especially in small town USA, where I live.

Smorgasbord
yes , one can give ore than money, if they give from their inner soul,
yes it is true,
but you didn’t mentioned your investments,
which must produce interest,
bye

@Greg: #136
Obama has money invested in China through a Caymen Islands account run by his Illinois Pension board. He has no control over it, but he could introduce legislation to stop the kind of investing he is condemning Romney for.

http://www.newsmax.com/Newsfront/obama-cayman-island-pension/2012/10/18/id/460535#axzz2B4J3uKog

Smorgasbord
that’s why the elected become rich they are sitting there and get the to be the first to hear the best investment deal.
they come poor and leave with big money,

@Redteam: #137
Does the ticket include round trip air fair?

@anticsrocks: #140
I bought my first VCR from the Montgomery Ward store where I worked as a salesman. Remember them? I sold a guy a VCR, and a while later he brought it back because the tape counter wasn’t working properly. They gave him a new one. Some time later, his had been repaired and put back out for sale at 10% off. As an employee, I got a 10% discount, plus I had a 10% discount for purchases with my Monhtgomery Ward credit card. They let me use all of the discounts on the one purchase.

@ilovebeeswarzone: #146
I forget which politician it was, but it is now illegal for congress to be told ahead of time what a company plans to do. They still have many ways to become rich in a short time.

Smorgasbord
did you say ILLEGAL” ah but OBAMA HAS NEVER ACKNOWLEDGE THAT WORD FROM
WHERE EVER IT ARISE
he made it all legal, cutting again the word, as usual.

@ilovebeeswarzone: #149
Obama wants the word “illegal” erased from the dictionary, since it is such an annoyance to him.
