Welcome back everyone! I know I suggested there would be two additional posts this week, but a short week followed by a bug that caught me, high thought wasn’t happening. Anyway, luckily our Lefty pals make it easy to find enough crazy for a post this week:

2/1 – ‘Blood On Your Hands’: Mark Zuckerberg Obliterated As Tech CEOs Grilled Over Child Sexual Exploitation

While I enjoyed watching Cruz smack down Zuckerborg, Ted seems to have become Trey Gowdy 2.0 – will throw down some severe language in a hearing and follow up with absolutely no meaningful action.

That entire hearing sounded like weak, helpless Senators all begging these tech CEOs for permission to create new laws and policies about tech.
How much graft is involved to make all these so-called powerful men sound like beggarswho hope the tech lord masters will let them tighten the reins just a tiny bit?

Why not?
We really do have two systems of justice in America nowadays and CAIR is a most-favored victim class member.
CAIR has no fear that anything bad would happen to them for this.

1/27 – UN Members Participated in October 7th Terrorist Assault on Israel

Years ago there were already 57 individual countries in the UN ruled by various forms of Sharia Law.
There may be a few more now.
Why be surprised when UN forces, made up of such nation’s members, act like Muslims when given a chance to hurt Israel?

1/26 – EU may delay gas car ban as Net Zero revolts spread across Europe

Altho the 4 part article seems to put most of the blame for slowing the rollout of an all EV car force on the way farmers revolted when told they all must go out of business, I see part 4 as the real scary monster…..
Young people seem to have little fear about being spied on constantly, carrying their phones around with them while telegraphing to the gov’t where they are, who they contact and what they buy.
But me, I refuse to carry a spy phone, refuse to put in a “smart meter,” on my electricity, refuse to buy a smart appliance for my kitchen or laundry, and certainly would refuse to buy a Chinese made car that can send its collected data on me to China.

1/28 – Email Reveals Why CDC Didn’t Issue Alert on COVID Vaccines and Myocarditis

True a gov’t entity like the CDC shouldn’t base its national health actions on whether it will “look good,” by them.
Health is health.
But by the time this was an issue, the CDC has already so besmerched itself by its stupid covid rules that the horse was out of the barn.
As the article stated, it will be a long time before public health authorities get our trust back, if ever.

FOX News, 2/2/24 – US job growth unexpectedly jumps in January as economy adds 353,000 new positions –

U.S. job growth unexpectedly surged in January, underscoring the resilience of the labor market even in the face of high interest rates and stubborn inflation.

Employers added 353,000 jobs in January, the Labor Department said in its monthly payroll report released Friday, easily topping the 180,000 gain forecast by Refinitiv economists. The unemployment rate held steady at 3.7%, against expectations for a slight increase.

Wage growth also accelerated last month, with average hourly earnings — a key measure of inflation — rising 0.6%, double what economists had expected. On an annual basis, wages rose 4.5% in January. However, that coincided with a drop in average hours worked, which fell by 0.2 hour last month to 34.1 hours…

The Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) surprised everyone when they announced on Friday that the economy added 353,000 jobs and the unemployment rate was at 3.7%.

Not everyone is buying this good news for Joe Biden.

Zero Hedge suggested the BLS is just making it up at this point. The numbers don’t jive.

02/10/24 – Nikki Haley denounces Donald Trump’s attack on her husband – who is deployed overseas –

Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley has a new reason to demand that ex-President Donald Trump debate her in South Carolina: The former president attacked Haley’s husband, who is overseas on military deployment, for being absent from the campaign trial.

“If you mock the service of a combat veteran, you don’t deserve a driver’s license, let alone being president of the United States,” Haley told supporters in Gilbert, S.C., part of her bus tour throughout the state.

“Donald, if you have something to say, don’t say it behind my back,” she said. “Get on a debate stage and say it to my face.”

Hours earlier, during a rally in Conway, S.C., Trump referred to Michael Haley when discussing a meeting he had with Nikki Haley some time ago.

“She comes over to see me at Mar-a-Lago – ‘sir, I will never run against you’ … She brought her husband,” Trump said.

The former president then added: “Where’s your husband? … Oh, he’s away … He’s away … What happened to her husband? What happened to her husband?! Where is he?! … He’s gone! He knew! He knew!”

Haley quickly responded to Trump on the social media site X, formerly Twitter, noting that the Republican nomination frontrunner never served in the military.

“Michael is deployed serving our country, something you know nothing about,” Haley said. “Someone who continually disrespects the sacrifices of military families has no business being commander in chief.”

Michael Haley himself responded on X with a meme that read: “The difference between humans and animals? Animals would never allow the dumbest ones to lead the pack.” 

Haley, the former governor of South Carolina, also reposted comments from her supporters condemning Trump.

“This is a disgrace,” New Hampshire Gov. Chris Sununu said on X. “Major Haley is serving his country. Donald Trump is again attacking and insulting military families.”

How any veteran could vote for this vile draft dodging poser is beyond my understanding.

02/05/24 – Nikki Haley requests Secret Service protection due to threats –

Nikki Haley has applied for U.S. Secret Service protection because of threats she is facing as the only remaining GOP presidential candidate competing with former president Donald Trump for the party’s nomination, Haley’s campaign spokesperson confirmed to CNN.

The campaign did not detail when the request was made.

There were reports of two swatting incidents in recent months at Haley’s home in South Carolina, one of which occurred while her parents were there.

Haley was recently asked about a heightened security presence at her events, telling reporters in Columbia, S.C., last week that “when you do something like this, you get threats. It’s just the reality, and that’s OK.”

No, it’s NOT OK. It’s a serious red flag, not to be ignored.

“Part of running for public life is that you’re going to deal with the threats that are there. That’s not going to deter me,” Haley said at the time. “Does it mean we have to put a few more bodies around us? Yes, that’s fine.”

Haley has had a heightened security presence with her for roughly a week.

The Secret Service provides protection only after it is authorized by the Secretary of Homeland Security, who consults with a congressional advisory committee…
