Bill and Hillary Clinton acted as Vladimir Putin’s lobbyists

This should have gotten a lot more attention than it did. It is widely known that Bill Clinton was paid $500,000 for a brief speech in Russia in 2010 for an entity called Renaissance Capital. What you may not know is why. Renaissance Capital is a Moscow based investment firm that was the focus of the attention of Sergei Magnitsky.:

Magnitsky claimed in 2008 that criminals tied to Renaissance Capital, who were allegedly working in lockstep with tax and law enforcement agents, stole some $470 million by orchestrating illegal and complex tax refund schemes. After bringing his evidence to the attention of federal prosecutors as well as the Russian press, Magnitsky was himself arrested for the crime he exposed by the very assailants he had named, according to then-President Dmitry Medvedev’s own independent investigation. Magnitsky was then tortured and murdered in pretrial detention in Moscow in 2009. Last year, in spite of an intense global furor over his wrongful persecution and death, Magnitsky’s corpse was put on trial in Russia and found guilty of tax evasion—a perversion of justice not seen during the Stalinist Great Terror. None of the men and women Magnitsky named as the true culprits has ever been properly investigated or brought to book. Some have gone on to receive state honors or job promotions. One, who is on the U.S. sanctions list, has even tried to bring costly civil litigation in the United Kingdom.

As we have previously noted, the Magnitsky Act was enacted as a punishment for the murder of Sergei Magnitsky. It was passed in 2012, but not without opposition- from Vladmir Putin of course, but also from some very familiar names.

Sergei Magnitsky died in 2009. Outrage grew over Magnitsky’s death and some lawmakers sought a response, but…

On the heels of this, lawmakers got to work on the Magnitsky Act in 2010, and asked the State Department to deny visas to the Russian officials who were implicated in the matter.

Hillary Clinton’s State Department denied the request.

Within weeks, Bill Clinton’s wallet was fattened by $500,000 for  a speech to Renaissance Capital. He even got a personal thank you from Putin. He wasn’t the only one involved. The Podesta Group was thick with Renaissance Capital:

The media’s focus on Trump’s Russian connections ignores the much more extensive and lucrative business relationships of top Democrats with Kremlin-associated oligarchs and companies. Thanks to the Panama Papers, we know that the Podesta Group (founded by John Podesta’s brother, Tony) lobbied for Russia’s largest bank, Sberbank. “Sberbank is the Kremlin, they don’t do anything major without Putin’s go-ahead, and they don’t tell him ‘no’ either,” explained a retired senior U.S. intelligence official. According to a Reuters report, Tony Podesta was “among the high-profile lobbyists registered to represent organizations backing Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovich.” Among these was the European Center, which paid Podesta $900,000 for his lobbying.

That’s not all: The busy Podesta Group also represented Uranium One, a uranium company acquired by the Russian government which received approval from Hillary Clinton’s State Department to mine for uranium in the U.S. and gave Russia twenty percent control of US uranium. The New York TimesreportedUranium One’s chairman, Frank Guistra, made significant donations to the Clinton Foundation, and Bill Clinton was paid $500,000 for one speech from a Russian investment bank that has “links to the Kremlin that was promoting Uranium One stock.”  Notably, Frank Giustra, the Clinton Foundation’s largest and most controversial donor, does not appear anywhere in Clinton’s “non-private” emails. It is possible that the emails of such key donors were automatically scrubbed to protect the Clinton Foundation.

“Coincidentally”, Hillary Clinton opposed the Magnitsky Act at the same time the Russian firm (which would have been the target of the proposed sanctions) was stuffing cash into her husband’s pocket. And also “coincidentally” millions began flowing into the coffers of the Clinton Foundation at the same time.

Bloomberg reported the connections between Hillary’s opposition to the Magnitsky Act, but her campaign team killed it– and then bragged about it:

– There are a bunch of stories in the works about our June 13th kickoff rally, which we announced today. No further details have been made available yet, including location.

– With the help of the research team, we killed a Bloomberg story trying to link HRC’s opposition to the Magnitsky bill to a $500,000 speech that WJC gave in Moscow.

– A new batch of Benghazi emails is reportedly scheduled to be released by the State Department sometime tonight or tomorrow.

Hillary and Bill Clinton were de facto lobbyists for Renaissance Capital and Vladimir Putin- while she was Secretary of State. This is a lot closer to treason than anything the left accuses Trump of and the left wing media has allowed it to be smothered.

Democrats don’t even know what collusion is. All they know about is bitterness and sore-losership.

I do hope that someday the truth about these incredible criminals. I almost have a feeling that the hildebeast is the brains in the outfit and bill is the charisma. I’d like to know the truth about this, Benghazi, Egypt, Syria, and all the rest of the beast’s operations. I do believe that the depth of the corruption has just been scratched.

I’m wondering, where are all our liberal teachers weighing in with all the counter evidence, showing what a damnable liar Dr. John is here?

Hello?

@Bill… Deplorable Me: We are too amused that Trump is admitting his criminal activity with his desire to pardon himself and his criminal comrades.
