@Wordsmith: RW: from 134:

The President’s message includes brief quotes from the Koran, and refers to Islam as a religion that values charity, mercy and peace.

Mr. Bush notes the Muslim population of the United States is growing rapidly, with millions of American believers. He says they are a diverse group that serves in every walk of life, including the U.S. armed forces.

Sound familiar?

President Bush visited a mosque days after the events of 9/11.

In his socks, as is Muslim practice, Bush padded through the ornate mosque on Washington”s Embassy Row and heard stories from his hosts about Muslim-American women afraid to leave their homes for fear of prejudiced backlash after last week”s terrorist strikes.

“Those who feel like they can intimidate our fellow citizens to take out their anger don”t represent the best of America, they represent the worst of humankind and they should be ashamed of that kind of behavior,” Bush said, his back to the brilliantly tiled prayer alcove facing Mecca.

He quoted from the Quran and fervently defended the Islam faith: “Islam is peace. These terrorists don”t represent peace, they represent evil and war.”

RW, this is mostly another example of someone saying that GWB quoted and no references to GWB referring the the Quran as the “Holy Quran”. Don’t know why it seems to be so difficult to actually quote what Bush said vs what someone said Bush said. There is a difference.

@Redteam:

If I’ve learned something from Word on this thread, I’m not sure what it is.

I don’t doubt that, and I fear that’s the problem. 🙂

They have drank the kool-aid, and I’m sure you remember the flavor.

Does it taste anything like the kool aid that inspired post 198? I imaging that stuff is illegal in 50 states.

@Tom:

I don’t doubt that, and I fear that’s the problem.

There is something in that that causes ‘fear’ in you? Wow.

Does it taste anything like the kool aid that inspired post 198? I imaging that stuff is illegal in 50 states.

That required no inspiration, only truth.

@Richard Wheeler:

.Are you suggesting that when Bush or Obama read from a speech prepared for them they don’t believe what they’re saying?

Suggesting? No, I’m stating that I don’t believe Obama has any input into what he reads from a teleprompter and seems to never have read it beforehand. He stumbles over almost every sentence. I won’t speak for what I think he believes. He does quite well at that.
I do believe that GWB did at least read the speeches ahead of time.

@Richard Wheeler:

Rich, we might have to travel up to the Hubble telescope to see where RT has relocated the goalpost this time.

@ Readteam,

Serious question: Why doesn’t President Obama fire the person who keeps sneaking Bible quotes into his speeches and tricking him into saying them?

@Redteam:

No, I’m stating that I don’t believe Obama has any input into what he reads from a teleprompter and seems to never have read it beforehand. He stumbles over almost every sentence.

How to you explain the hours and hours of recorded debates with professional politicians, in which he speaks at length on multiple topics?

@Redteam: Bush read his speeches ahead of time and Obama doesn’t. Simple statement from a simple mind.
But do you have an open mind RT? 3rd request

Tom and Word This guy is in his own world.
“Dimocrat KoolAid”?? Claims he’s got “advanced degrees” lol

@Tom:

Serious question: Why doesn’t President Obama fire the person who keeps sneaking Bible quotes into his speeches and tricking him into saying them?

You don’t remember the flavor of Dimocrat KoolAid and you attempt to ask a serious question? Is this part of the ‘high standards’ for Dimocrats.

@Tom:

How to you explain the hours and hours of recorded debates with professional politicians, in which he speaks at length on multiple topics?

Can’t explain something that doesn’t exist. Hours and Hours, recorded? LOL.

@Richard Wheeler: Wordsmith, this a good example, do you see anywhere that I attempted to personally insult RW? Do you think he is trying to ‘personally’ insult me

Bush read his speeches ahead of time and Obama doesn’t. Simple statement from a simple mind.
But do you have an open mind RT? 3rd request

Tom and Word This guy is in his own world.

RW, what do you mean by an ‘open mind’? My interpretation and yours may be different, so I want to insure that I’m answering your definition, not mine. 1st request.
Just curious, why do you think you feel the need to resort to an attempted personal insult?

@Redteam: You’re pretty thin skinned and selectively forgetful.
Did I complain about your personal zingers in 164 and 167? Naw I just considered the source. Actually I thought you’d mellowed quite a bit from some of your previous personal insults.
Think Word may actually be a good influence on you. Even if you don’t recognize it.

@Richard Wheeler: From 164:
Bees said:

@ILOVEBEESWARZONE:

just know you finaly contribute to the blog by giving some of your knowledge, instead of picking on our comment, with arrogance,

To which I responded:
Bees,he’s not going to understand what you said.

From 167 Retire05 said:

:@retire05:

Ironic you would praise Rommel, but not Patton.

To which I responded:
Beyond his control.

Is that really all you’ve got. It really shows my uncivility.
Define ‘open mind’ 2nd request.

@Richard Wheeler:

Think Word may actually be a good influence on you. Even if you don’t recognize it.

I will state that Word has not been unkind or uncivil and I usually respond in kind. You seem to have a knack for enjoying zingers, but you’re not good at lobbing them.

Oh no, what a sad day.

Here’s a penny for your thoughts: One red cent could’ve landed you the Navy’s first supercarrier, the decommissioned Forrestal.

The U.S. Navy sold the 1,067-foot behemoth to a Texas company, All Star Metals, to be dismantled, scrapped and recycled, Navy officials announced. It’s an inauspicious fate for a ship with a colorful — and tragic — history. It’s perhaps best known for a 1967 incident in which stray voltage triggered an accidental explosion that struck a plane on the flight deck whose cockpit was occupied by a young John McCain. A chain reaction of blasts and fires ultimately killed 134 men and injured more than 300

I sailed on that proud ship many times in the 50’s and 60’s.

@Redteam: Definition of open mind? If you don’t know it’s your problem. I never said your light hearted quips bothered me. You said mine bothered your thin skin.

It was Sec. Nav. Rear Admiral James Forrestal that on seeing the raising of the flag on Mount Suribachi turned to Marine Commanding Gen. Smith ” Holland the raising of that flag on Mt Surabachi means a Marine Corps for the next 500 years.”

Semper Fi—-God bless The Naval Service

@Richard Wheeler: : I asked:

Definition of open mind?

You answered:

If you don’t know it’s your problem.

That’s a strange definition. So I can’t say if I have one or not.

@Redteam: You’re always good for a laugh. Thanks

Bees Do you think many read your all caps posts? Are you mad?

@ilovebeeswarzone: Thanks Bees, I have to try to stay ahead of them.

Redteam
YOU ARE AHEAD OF THEM , WAY UP AND ABOVE,
THEY ARE SO LOW THAT YOU ARE FORCE TO BEND DOWN ON THEM,

@Redteam:You just keep trying RT. You’re providing some good guffaws. Thanks again.

Richard Wheeler
SINCE WHEN THE MARINES SHOOT WITH ARROWS ON THE CONSERVATIVES?
YOU ARE A BIGGER JOKE

This is a video of completely believable events staged at Obama speeches. You don’t realize how often he stages this until you see it in perspective…. Watch.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dGZ4WeQwmIk

Redteam
I wonder if those who fell down where paid
the same amount,
bye

@ilovebeeswarzone: Likely not, I’m sure that Obama had scab labor do the acts. He kinda betrayed the unions on that one.

RW, how’d you like America the Beautiful at the ball game. The old Sarge did a great job.

You do recall that I picked Red Sox to go all the way, don’t you?

@Redteam: I recall you picked BHO. Kudos considering Rove and Morris picked Mitt What will be the Senate make-up after 2014 results are in? House ?
Sarge did a great job.

@Richard Wheeler: Senate 56-44 House 248-186-1

@Wordsmith:

First you said:

Or maybe I expect conservatives to hold themselves to a higher standard, regardless of the left.

Then there was this:

Retire is the one who gets a bit crotchety- and I’m not talking about attempts to insult me, but in the way she contemptuously speaks to a number of commenters who disagree with her. The ol’ battle ax has alienated at least a few people who vote on her side of the political aisle and not just her political opponents.

It would seem that someone who subscribes to “center-right extremism” and “a radically moderate-conservative point of view” also has no problem lobbing pejoratives at anyone who disagrees with them.

Pot, meet kettle.

@retire05: Retire, while I might disagree with you occasionally, by far I agree with you. I agree that most of the time when you refer to someone in a way that some might not, it’s usually because someone is being their usually dimocratic liberal socialist self and are trying to put a hit on you. Keep up what you do, you have many supporters.

Early one morning, an elderly retired gentleman yelled to his wife….
“Honey….! Come see what I created….! It’s an abstract panorama
depicting the five years of the Obama presidency!”

She yelled back, “Flush the toilet and come eat your breakfast.”

@Redteam: Senate–Is that Dems 56- Repubs 44? Assume you got Repubs holding The House.
No surprise you agree with o5. Being you are of of open mind, wanna point out where you’ve ever disagreed with her. She has many supporters??

@Redteam:

We most certainly had a disagreement about an issue. It was decided that we would agree to disagree. No biggie. It worked out fine.

There are some I just like to poke in the eye because they are nothing but Obama Kool-Aid drinking trolls who come here for one reason; to spew Obama propaganda. There are some I like to spar with, simply because they offer a challenge. There is one who gets picked on a lot by the left, that I think they should just leave the hell alone, especially considering that the person they pick on, and insult, does not use English as their primary language, and perhaps should address those idiots in her own language and see how well they do. And there is a couple I truly dislike because they are dishonorable people.

There is no purpose in debating someone who agrees with you. But there is purpose in challenging those who claim the mantilla of conservatism, then bash conservatives, if for no other reason than to expose their hypocrisy. As far as the left goes; well, for far too long they have been handing conservatives t*rds and calling them a Baby Ruth. Time to show their manure for exactly what it is.

Wordsmith
It’s so easy to say they leave because of the other person,
they should think of the real excuse< it would be more honest,
instead of turning the blame on the other, which is so easy to pass and ignore
if they don"t want to communicate with,
we can exchange any comment and be for or against without being beat up or killed right?
at the end of the exchange we all go back home to our confort place,
a good exchange of disagreing points is very interesting to follow,
it"s invigorating for the other reader to step in and have their say,
if one get offended so he lick his wounds and come back later,
no one is the same skin, some are more thin skin than other,
no need to break the chairs, but we can if we feel like it one of those day,
we just get the answer from other on it, and we diserve it, or reply to it,
we never need to quit, especially on this FLOPPING ACES,
which take anyonewith a good will to tell his opinion<
not tell other how to think,

@Redteam: With a Booker win in N.J. special election in Dec., Senate will be 55D-45R going into 2014.
Repubs should gain seats in Alaska,South Dakota,Montana,Arkansas and West Va. Possible wins in Louisiana,Iowa and North Carolina.
Dems possible pick ups in Georgia where Sam Nunn’s daughter is challenging and Kentucky where Mc Connell is vulnerable.

I predict the Senate will be 50D-50R. With Dem Prez. they hold with Veep. tie break.
House 235R-198D-2vac

@Richard Wheeler:

Dems possible pick ups in Georgia where Sam Nunn’s daughter is challenging

Not gonna happen.

Mc Connell is vulnerable.

Will only be a possibility if McConnell is primaried successfully.

@Richard Wheeler: RW, how do you like the new girly hat the Marines will be forced to wear by your guy? If he puts that on them, I will guarantee you that within one month after a Repub becomes prez, the hat will be changed back. The existing cover is almost 100 years old, it was the standard when Suribachi was taken. American tradition to Obama is only something to be changed/destroyed.

also, RW, Retire and I disagreed on a couple issues, right now I don’t even recall what they were and it sure isn’t worth me spending my time going back over old threads to find. She and I usually agree.

@Redteam:

RW, how do you like the new girly hat the Marines will be forced to wear by your guy?

I didn’t realize the President of the United States is also on the Marine Corps Uniform Board. Odd that with all the powers of the office of the President, Obama would choose to destroy America by spending time designing new Marine Corp hats and then forcing the Marine Corps Uniform Board to adopt them. Very odd indeed. Odd enough to convince me Obama is up to no good in a very Islamic manner. Thank you for pointing this out, RT.

@Redteam: You and RT have never disagreed.Clones
Active and Reservists will nix the uniform change . It won’t happen.
o5 RE #234 “mantilla of Conservatism” did you mean mantel?

@Richard Wheeler:

o5 RE #234 “mantilla of Conservatism” did you mean mantel?

Nope. I said what I meant.

@Richard Wheeler:

It won’t happen.

Yup.

but… that Obama (fist shaking). It is my Constitutional right to hate for reasons both real and imagined.

Richard Wheeler
ON YOUR 228
IT’S THOSE DAMN DEAD VOTERS THAT KEEP COMING TO VOTE,
you would have lost if the UNIONS WOULD leave them down yonder,

Tom
yes
you said it right, THAT’S HIM .

@retire05: mantilla–a lace or silk veil worn by a woman over her head and shoulders.

mantel or mantle of leadership or Conservatism

Wanna help RT point out any significant disagreement between you two? He can’t find one. Thanks

@Tom:

Thank you for pointing this out, RT.

You’re welcome. Since Obama doesn’t have a clue, he gets involved with all the important issues such as having Marines wear women’s hats. He’s just a nice guy.

@Richard Wheeler:

He can’t find one. Thanks

He didn’t look for one. It’s not a big deal. So you really think the Marines will buck Obama and not wear the girlie hats?

@Redteam:You’re either her clone or her Aide- de- Camp. Total agreement between you two. You’re right. It’s no big deal.
If you were a Marine,and were asked for your input on uniform change, what would you say?

SERIES 1-1 Think Cards got too much pitching for The Sox.
J.T. was OUTSTANDING. As always

@Richard Wheeler:

@retire05: mantilla–a lace or silk veil worn by a woman over her head and shoulders.

mantel or mantle of leadership or Conservatism

You’re getting warm.

Wanna help RT point out any significant disagreement between you two? He can’t find one. Thanks

Since you are so interested, I would think you would be willing to do your own research. No, I’m not helping YOU exercise your demands on others.

@Richard Wheeler:

SERIES 1-1 Think Cards got too much pitching for The Sox.

As of now I think the Cards only have one pitcher, so he has to win 3 more. We’ll see.
