You’re A Racist Version

Tavis Smiley on Tuesday said the upcoming presidential race is “going to be the ugliest, the nastiest, the most divisive, and the most racist in the history of this republic.”

When MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell asked his guest on “The Last Word” why he thought so, the PBS host predictably blamed it all on the Tea Party and Donald Trump (video follows with transcript and commentary):

anticsrocks No nerve struck .I’m happy for our country and for our President.I’m laughing out loud at you.
.

@little dickie: Good, glad to give you a reason to laugh as it must be so depressing to be a Romney cheerleader. Do you wear the skirt when you are promoting him, or just use the pom-poms?

@openid.aol.com/runnswim: Wouldn’t have happened if the US had no military presence in other countries.

Anticsrocks #52 Learn to read my man. I never said I’d vote for Romney over Obama. I said Romney/Rubio had best chamce of beating BHO and Rubio would be our next Conservative Pres.
Osama is dead and the Mad Colonel is next.Get out of the mud Anticsrocks.Enjoy the moment.

Looks like someone hit the lottery! What was the bounty up to now? The biggest impact is they will not know who to trust. If someone turned in OBL, then who else is safe? I expect that there were also prisoners taken, too. I would bet there will be a considerable amount of intel that leads back to terrorist support back here.

@rich wheeler:

I’m laughing out loud at you.

The “sad clown”, wallowing in his pathetic partisan stew, is rather unintentionally hilarious. With 99.9% of Americans proud of our military, our intelligence AND our leadership right now, I guess we know one bitter soul who’s in the other 0.1%.

@rich wheeler: Don’t believe I ever accused you of wanting to vote for Romney, but you ARE his biggest cheerleader here at FA. You never pass up an opportunity to drop his name.

As for being in the mud, you started it so don’t dish it out if you can’t take it.

I fully respect your service to our country, and I have said so before. However your leftist ideals are not something I can respect you for.

Enjoy the moment? Believe me, I am and this moment is way past overdue.

@Tom:
You aren’t very good at reading or you would have seen in my post above the other one where I said:

…I am still thrilled at the news of OBL’s death!

I also didn’t “bitch” about obama. How’s your petard taste?

I not only celebrated his death like other real Americans, unlike phony ones such as you I gave credit to the guys who actually “took care of business”.

I also agree with Antics, we darn well you would not be happy with this happening under Bush. You have made it very clear how much you hate Conservatives.
I will give credit to obama for letting the Spec Ops guys do what needed to be done.
As for his unity speech, we know he doesn’t mean any of it. Well, those of us who aren’t Kool-Aid drinking obama drones.

Most of the credit for this goes to the nation’s finest who put their lives on the line and took him out as well as those in the intel community who put the pieces together to put him in the right place at the right time. Politicalizing this demeans the efforts of our troops. Bush deserves credit for going after him, signing the EO to kill him, and for staying the course in the face of criticism from the rabid left. Obama deserves credit for not deviating from that course despite criticism from his left wing constituents. Neither president was on the ground over there doing the work. It was our military and civilian intel folks period.

Not to rain on the parade, but although it was great day, the WOT is far from over. OBL was no where near the threat now that he was prior to 9/11. To forget that and drop our guards would be a very unwise move.

Let’s not forget that he hadn’t talked with his cabinet members for at least two years, but he talks with a union boss every day. I wonder if he ever started talking to his cabinet members.

@Smorgasbord: Don’t forget that he speaks with his Czars, Smorgs. Can’t forget them.

@Hard Right:

You have made it very clear how much you hate Conservatives.

Please. You sound ridiculous. Which is one of many reasons I don’t hate you, my angry conservative buddy. You give me ample reason to laugh.

@randy (#53): Worthy point, but some other time for a more comprehensive discussion/debate. – LW/HB

CNN just reported that advance information concerning the U.S. operation that neutralized bin Laden wasn’t shared with the government of any other country. It sounded like that might have included Pakistan.

@another vet:

Thank you for your post. Sums things up perfectly.

Anticsrocks ,Hard Right and Smorg The Three Amigos(.OO1%’ ers) Cheer up guys.W says job well done.

Happy Day, I am late to the party, but in the spirit, the wicked evil man is dead and his son is a bonus.

Congratulations to all our brave souls who served and sacrificed for this day and especially to those Seals who killed the bastard. A great day for America!

@rich wheeler:

I already congratulated our Spec Ops guy and pointed out how happy I am OBL is dead (see post #34). You can pull your troll head out of your *ss now, phony patriot.

The king and his court.

Since this an open thread, I would like to say that the offical Red Dawn remake faces some tough competition against a Youtube movie called The Freelands. I’m saying this in terms of plot. Red Dawn 2 involves the North Koreans in the U.S. The Freelands involves chip aided U.S. troops attacking rebels in a civil war. Where as Red Dawn 2 I’m guessing is suppose to be one of those super patriotic movies, The Freelands is more like Saddam vs Muqtada al-Sadr. The Freelands is just a much darker tale. For instance one of the rebel commanders talks about quarantining a bunch of sick refugees in a building and then burning down the building. I would say the film quality is that of a Masterpiece Theater movie.

Race was never mentioned in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina until Jessie Jackson got there.

The liberals seem to be saying, “We know we can’t get Obama elected again, so let’s throw out the race card like we always do when we know we can’t win any other way.

As I have mentioned before, we won’t have to worry about Obama running again. Too many states are requiring proof of citizenship and there are too many items in the birth certificate Obama released that don’t match the ones issued to others at his time of birth.

If someone is going to fake something there are three things you have to remember:

(1) Details
(2) Details
(3) Details

Maybe you all should check the post mortem photo of Osama that just came out for layers.

Congratulations to all involved!

As details come out I am astonished.
People thought Osama lived in Afghanistan.
Osama lived in Pakistan….right next to a military complex!
People thought Osama lived in a cave.
He lived in a mansion!
The Pakistani government was just recently politiking Afghanistan to break off relations with the USA.
I’m glad he will not have a burial.
He would have been worshiped.
I hope the death of Osama does NOT lead to a declaration that our war against Islamism is over.
It is not.

@retire05: Hey. I do like him regardless, but, that’s why I wish Allen West was running, or even, Herman Cain… both are staunch Conservatives. Both have a commanding personality. They both actually LOVE THEIR COUNTRY with all her faults. Both are successful in their own right. I would like to hear more of what they would do if they had the opportunity to run the country. These are two men to keep an eye on (but that’s just my humble opinion)…
