You’re A Racist Version
Tavis Smiley on Tuesday said the upcoming presidential race is “going to be the ugliest, the nastiest, the most divisive, and the most racist in the history of this republic.”
When MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell asked his guest on “The Last Word” why he thought so, the PBS host predictably blamed it all on the Tea Party and Donald Trump (video follows with transcript and commentary):

See author page
At least he called the USA a “republic.” I’ll bet PBS called him into an office and told him never to do that again. That sounds too much like republican.
I wonder, will Obaby do the Styrofoam temples ?
It’s hard to run against your own record.
It is not going to have to be ugly.
But it might get ugly anyway.
All we have to do is use Obama’s own words against him.
For instance, last week, April 20th, 2011, Obama did a Facebook Townhall.
http://www.whitehouse.gov/the-press-office/2011/04/20/remarks-president-facebook-town-hall
During it he LIED.
He falsely claimed doctors and hospitals can charge Medicare over and over again as they fix their mistakes…..
OOPS!
Not true since 2005.
S.1932 was passed in 2005 (OVER OBAMA’s No VOTE!!!)
S.1932 disallows the additional charges to Medicare when an operation results in an additional infection needing more treatment……or other things like that.
AND S.1932 prevents hospitals and doctors from charging the patient on Medicare when they fix mistakes they made.
Did I mention Obama was against fixing this?…..Now here he comes on Facebook thinking ”he won,” and that would have been a big problem!
Great book review by a black man (Thomas Sowell) about a black man’s (Walter Williams) book about how government policies have HURT black workers.
Hard to be ”racist” when everybody involved is black, huh?
Money quotes from the review:
I wonder if Obama might read such a book?
@Nan G: There are so many lefties who want to believe their ideology no matter what. Just look at the hangers on with the AGW issues. The only scientists who are still supporting AGW are those who are getting paid for research.
DOES HE HAVE [ ANY EVIDENCE ]??????? [ VIDEO ]?????? Can he [ direct ] the audience to any [Video/Words ] to ” support his claims “??? Or is he just going to [ Be a Liberal Racist ] and throw it out there [ Liberal Drama ].
Did he EVER attend a TEA PARTY Rally????
Man oh Man are these Liberals are SO VERY, VERY DESPERATE!!!
Even Soros says the Liberals are a FAIL! He is contemplating donating Money to the Party this time around. I guess he is contemplating whether he wants to [WASTE] more [MONEY] or not….
“Soros – of all the big donors – “was probably the most disappointed…. wondering how progressives could spend all that money and not achieve success…” Source: Politico
The useful idiot Smiley is wrong about the increased death threats. He said, “…the Secret Service, you know, working over time to protect this President, more threats against his life than any President in the history of the nation, indeed Presidents combined…”
But don’t let the testimony of a high ranking Secret Service official deter the leftist media from saying any old thing they want to and treating it as fact…
Who saw BHO mock The Donald at the W. H. correspondants dinner last night? Funny stuff. I believe the Dems. wil try to push him into the race.
@Randy, #5:
Would anyone expect a group that consists of some of the most intelligent, highly trained, and highly specialized people on the planet to be working for free?
An overwhelming majority of scientists conducting research in the field of climate study continue to hold the view that global temperatures are rising, that the consequences for the planet and its inhabitants will be negative, and that human activity contributes significantly to that situation. Scientists holding opposing views represent a small minority and are much less likely to be directly involved in climate research.
The only thing that has shifted is public opinion. That’s largely due to deliberate, persistent efforts by special interests to discredit expert opinion and to undermine legitimate scientific findings.
@Greg: Read Roy Spencer’s new book! Check out his blog.
Why are we not giving this research money to the poor Greg! These rich scientists! Tell me Spencer is not a very knowledgeable scientist.
@rich wheeler: Thin skinned Obama is certainly letting Trump get under his skin. Maybe Trump will replace Fox News as Obie’s latest fixation…
Of course the left is going to play the “race” card. It has worked so well for them the last 40 years that they have no other tactic. But the bottom line is that it doesn’t matter who Obama runs against in the GOP, Obama is really going to be running against himself. In 2008, he didn’t have a record to refer to; now he does. And the things he said are going to be his worst enemy. How does making fun of a man who drives a SUV because he has 10 kids, telling him to by a hybrid, come off as being concerned about the hardships Americans are now facing at the pump and the grocery store?
Barack Obama is simply writing material for every Republican thinking about running against him. Remind me again why people think he is so smart.
You can lead a prog to the truth, but there is no way in hell you can stop them from drinking the cool aid.
ANTICSROCKS IT’S Trump that’s incredibly thinned skinned He can’t take anybody joking about him.But his life,the casinos,the girly pageants,the reality shows,one big excessive joke. I really hope he runs.Great fun to watch him implode.
The book “State Of Fear” by Michael Chichton RIP; a book that was recommended to me by a former global warming fanatic/liberal and a woman who admitted the book had cured her opposition to carbon dioxide (not something you hear from the global warming crowd to often). Just to be fair and balanced I will use the Wiki page as a reference.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/State_of_Fear
@Zac:
I, too, recommend State of Fear by Michael Crichton for people to read, and I do it all the time, including here. Books, even fiction books, are just reflections of the state of the world around us, and some very deep and thought provoking ideas are fostered from them. That is why I read nearly a hundred books a year, on average, most of them fiction, but some very good non-fiction as well. But to get back to Crichton’s book, it is a very thought provoking book on the whole global warming issue, and even if someone is a AGW proponent, it still will give them pause about certain beliefs that they hold.
@johngalt: That is exactly why the AGW alarmists will not read it! The Roy Spenser Book is very indepth with excellent references. The crux of his book is showing where climate scientists have failed to look!
@rich wheeler: Yeaaahhhh, right. That’s why Obama is jumping through the hoops that Trump lays out.
Now whether I think Trump might or might not be a serious, effective candidate is not what we are arguing here. What I am saying, and what Obama’s actions prove is that of all the possible GOP hopefuls, Obama is already worrying about Trump – and he hasn’t even officially declared.
Well I thought I was good but I’m about half the reader you are John Galt. Fiction is generally not my preference but in the case of Michael Chichton, I make an exception. One of my other favorites of his was “Next”, which brought up a few interesting points about genetics, it made me stop and seriously think about a subject I had never considered. Next really was a book that shows how how corporations and government are ignoring basic science and privacy rights; at the same time. Most of my reading right now is military. Currently I’m reading “Lone Survivor” by Marcus Lutrell, non-fiction; about a Navy Seal. I have a few other military books siting around waiting for me to read, one of which is a book by Mike Durant, who was the helicopter pilot taken prisoner in Somalia, he was mentioned in Black Hawk Down, I’m looking forward to reading that one. Another book I’ve been reading, that is not military; “Left To Tell” by Immaculee Llibagaza, about the Rwandan genocide.
J.G AND ZAC I played basketball in H.S. on L. I. wih 6ft 9 Mike Chrichton. He went to Harvard and Harvard med. Wrote on so many different subjects. Died too young.
anticsrocks Obama hopes Trump runs.I still say only Romney/Rubio beat BHO.
@rich wheeler:
I agree Rich, way too young. One of my all-time favorite authors in adventure fiction.
@Greg:
It’s not about the fact that they are paid, Greg. It’s about who they are paid by. When the AGW zealots in politics are the ones who decide who gets what funding, for what research, they tend to favor those ‘scientists’ who are going to support their views, and none who have spoken out in opposition to those views. That tends to make the science, not really about science, but about politics, which is exactly what has been exposed. And this is exactly why the government should not be handing out grants for any type of scientific expiriments.
@rich wheeler: You said:
What on earth makes you think the GOP base, the CONSERVATIVES, will accept Romney??
Rubio won’t enter into Presidential politics because of his age and because he wouldn’t want to lose on his first time out. And that is what a Romney ticket is – a sure fire way to lose for the GOP.
Not to change the subject, but apparently OBL has been killed.
OSAMA BIN LADEN IS DEAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
He’s just one of many who shouldn’t be stealing our oxygen, but good riddance.
Any bets on how long it will be before Obama is in front of the cameras taking credit for it?
I’m gonna have a cigar!
Congratulations, President Obama, on taking care of business. Wait, is that the short-form death certificate???
anticsrocks #27 You’re just a hater who’d root agaist his own country just to hurt Obama. SAD.
I say good riddance. JOB WELL DONE
btw The Conservatives probably won’t accept him and that’s the rub. Haven’t heard you name ANYONE who can beat BHO. Romney’s your best hope but you’re so far right you can’t accept it.
Rich Mike Chichton was a great writer and he will be sorely missed in my eyes.
In other news I have found very little about the story thus far. Should I save my cigar?
Supposedly he was killed in a mansion outside of Islamabad. I have a hard time believing he was in the Pakastani capital without them knowing about it. In other words, they may have been protecting his ass all this time. There is some SERIOUS explaining that needs to be done.
@little dickie wheeler: You call me a hater when you are the one who constantly whines about our great country?? LOL what a load of horse sh*t.
And besides, I am not a hater. Because, if believing in the Constitution, limited government and supporting what our Framers intended for our country is “far right,” then so be it.
I am on record saying that it is too early to pick someone. At this same time frame before the 08 elections, Hillary was way out in front and McCain was all but dead in the water. Look what happened. One would think that someone who seems to know so much would understand this…
The fact that you have such a huge hard on for Romney just goes to further to show your leftist beliefs. Why would any Conservative want to elect someone who pushed through socialized medicine?
BTW, Wolf Blitzer of CNN just reminded their two dozen viewers that Bin Laden was killed per Executive Order set down by G.W. Bush.
Thanks for playing, little dick wheeler.
But no worries, Obie will take full credit, if not now then it will be brought up during the ’12 campaign…
Enjoy your 72 goats bin laden!!!
The unbiased media (buwahahahaha) is saying what good news this is for obama. They seem to believe it will seal his re-election. It won’t, but I am still thrilled at the news of OBL’s death!
God bless our special forces!
@Tom:
Tom, obama didn’t pull the trigger. Nice try. As usual you show what a demowhore you are.
Here’s an idea, try giving credit to those that actually did the work and put their lives on the line.
Just as I predicted…Obie just took credit for the kill.
This coming from the guy who didn’t talk to McChrystal for how many months???
I wonder if they serve 72 raisins in hell.
@Hard Right:
Must suck to be so conflicted about news any real American would be ecstatic about. I guess politics trumps all for some people. Me, I’m thrilled he’s dead, and would have been equally pleased if it happened under GWB, not to mention equally grateful to him for authorizing the operation. But it happened now, so I’ll be happy now whether or not you are.
anticsrocks You are a sad clown.At this great moment all you can do is talk about the Constitution.Save it. I don’t whine about my country I LOVE IT. SEMPER Fi
BTW I don’ t like Mitt and wouldn’t vote for him.
@Tom: Tom, you are such a jerk! Why don’t you just once express some rational thought to stimulate an intelligent conversation?
@Tom: ROFLMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAA!!!
Sorry, just the thought that you would be glad that Bush did ANYTHING is almost too much to bear. LOLOLOL
Look Tommie Boy, we are all glad that OBL is gone from this earth. If in fact Obama did actually have a hand in this, then I will say that he finally did something right. However, given the disdain that he has historically shown the military and his absence of pride for America and American Exceptionalism I find it hard to believe that he ordered this.
@another vet: I expect there were others who are swallowing some sand, too. I should check with some of my intel friends. This should travel quickly through the ranks.
@Randy:
You mean my first instinct should be to b*tch about Obama instead of being grateful that OBL is dead like your friends? And it was so predictible, that’s the sad part.
@anticsrocks: At least he did something right. What is this, a president who does the right thing .001% of the time?
@little dickie: Seems I struck a nerve. LOL
The fact that you can so easily dismiss the Constitution speaks volumes about your ideology.
Again, if being far right means loving my country, holding up our founding documents and expecting our government to abide by those documents, then by all means. I am far right. I am an extremist.
Since you find folly in those actions, what does that make you??
Okay, its your turn….call me some more names, little dickie.
Do us all a favor and go post at HuffPo, or KOS – trust me, you will fit right in.
@Randy: Well Randy, even a blind squirrel…. 🙂
We should make this a national holiday!
Hey, my sources are not as top quality as Randy but they said that it took place in a mansion in Islamabad and that the US military has some of his actual family members. I don’t know which ones yet though.
What I liked about the President’s speech was the reference to the sense of unity in the nation, right after 9/11. And that America can do anything, when it makes up its mind to do it.
Here’s to America.
– Larry Weisenthal/Huntington Beach CA
@Randy: Given the fact that OBL fell out of favor with his own, I wouldn’t be surprised if it was one of his own people that fingered him.
@anticsrocks:
Sounds reasonable. Well, in that case, thank you guy who is not Obama who orded this!
