Combat troops to get gay sensitivity training New policy OK’d for battlefield

President Obama signed a bill in December to repeal the ban, called “don’t ask, don’t tell,” which required gay troops to hide their sexuality. However, the ban will stay in effect until the secretary of defense certifies that repeal of the policy will not hurt combat readiness.

Elaine Donnelly, who heads the Center for Military Readiness, said it is “ridiculous” to train combat Army soldiers and Marines as they are engage in daily combat with tenacious insurgents.

“It’s absurd because the military has more important things to think about in that dangerous part of the world,” she said. “For the administration to say this is more important than even with the troops we’re trying to train in that part of the world, I think it shows flawed priorities at best. It is ridiculous

Well as long as the Navy anthem doesn’t become “in the Navy” and the fruitcakes don’t shove socialist agenda up everyone’s butt, there shouldn’t be a problem, right?.. Obama’s instincts are Robin Hood-esque.
It is about taxation, regulation, anti-business policies in Washington DC and attitudes toward science.
Politicians forget that business has choice.
We are not indentured servants.
We can do business where it is good and friendly.
We (3M) are now exporting science overseas.
68% of our scientists are from outside the USA.
The USA won’t give us enough Visas.
We are building our newest labs in Germany, India and China.

3M has over 79,000 employees, but fewer of them will be in the USA, all because of Obama.

Nan and OT2: Obana is not just about spreading the money around in the US, he believes in spreading it around the World. That is what the climate change initiative is all about. They even admitted it during the last meeting in Central America.
The Kyoto protocol would send our industry to foreign countries where there were no carbon limits. The cap and trade proposal would send tax dollars from primarially red states to the blue states. A good portion of the stimulus/bail out funds went to foreign banks. What 3M is describing is sending jobs/money to other countries while the dupes who voted for Obama blame others!

The Fall and Spring round ups put around 2, 600 or so to the Market last year. My spread is not a 4H Club Operation. We raise Hereford Cattle from calves to Market weight. 24/7 Operation.

You remember how swell UN Sanctions worked on Saddam…some UN dudes secured a grand retirement on Oil for Food. Libya held Chairmanship of the UN Human Rights Council too!

You are going to have a mess to clean up anyway if you hit someone with the shotgun. I think that I would trade the cleanup for disincentive of someone proceeding further into my home. But then I haven’t found one that I care for and that would be good for the wife. I do, as you suggest, keep a .45 handy and my current primary home defense choice.

I have an old Remington 1100 20ga that my dad bought me to hunt dove when I was 12, I am thinking about having it professionally cut down to 18″ and put a tactical stock and grip on it for the Mrs. as it would still screw someones day up with some heave duck load or 00. Thinking of an 870 or 1187 12ga for myself 🙂
