@Greg:

Oh please, what if he recovered. Cold, very cold!

@Greg

Attacking the messenger? Typical lib/prog tactic when the information does not conform to the desired conclusions. I am not sure if you actually read the article, however, the list of source material at the end is also worth investigating. My intention by opposing your view was to point out the fraud perpetrated on not only the US, but the world in general, by the “crazy enviros” you claim to have done the world a great service.

To recap:

The environmentalists have claimed their opposition to DDT, which eventually led to a ban being placed on its use, have brought the bald eagle back from the brink of extinction. What they cannot account for is the much higher count of individual eagles well after a long period of use of DDT compared to the pre-DDT use counts.

The environmentalists have also claimed a direct correlation between DDT use and incidence of higher cancer risks. This is pure speculation based on a handful of studies which support the above statement, however, a number of better documented and controlled studies have shown no correlation at all, as this article from Cornell University discusses:

johngalt: hi, in the old time, they used to spray DDT all over as soon as an insect show his face, you know those cans specialy made for that, pull and push, so with that amount of spray we should all be dead by now according to thoses agencys to ban it; but thoses peoples and their children lived to a ripe old age, and even the cockroaches survived and the LORD knows that they where sprayed often. bye 🙄
