There’s no question that ISIS believes that it as at war with the US. It keeps saying so.
And the US has launched several dozen airstrikes against them, while we are also arming and advising the Kurds who are fighting them on the ground. We’re also advising the Iraqi security forces. ISIS just beheaded an American journalist and is threatening to murder another one.
But the State Department, represented here by Marie Harf, doesn’t believe that those facts constitute “war.”
At a briefing Thursday, a reporter brought up anti-American comments from ISIL leaders: “I mean, even they are announcing, ISIL people in their message, whatever, the recorded message, other messages, that now we are in a war with America.”
“This is not about ISIL versus the United States,” State Department spokeswoman Marie Harf objected. “They are killing anyone who gets in their way: Sunnis, Shia Muslims, Christians, Yazidis, Iraqis, Syrians, anyone who gets in their way — and now an American.”
“So this is not about what the United States is or isn’t doing,” Harf continued. “This is about ISIL stated a commitment to murder, rape, enslave people who don’t agree with their ideology and who get in their way.”
“But they are announcing that it’s a war against America,” the reporter pressed. “Right or wrong, that’s what they are saying.”
Harf maintained, “Well, they can say whatever they’d like, but what I am making clear is that’s not what ISIL represents. And they don’t represent any religion. They are at war with everybody they come into contact with.”
They’re not at war with the westerners they keep recruiting. They have about 1500 British citizens they have come into contact with, who have joined ISIS.
What’s the game here that State is playing?
She also believes Obama doesn’t get enough credit.
So, maybe she needs to read Alexander Hamilton on war and how, when another nation or people declares war against us, it does not require us to also declare war for us to BE AT WAR.
We are at war.
Sure ISIS hates all Infidels and apostates.
They even hate the ”people of the Book,” who are traditionally allowed to live under Islam, albeit as 3rd class non-citizens.
And sure ISIS only kills those it can reach.
But it has over 3,000 ethnic Western European passport holding fighters who can come into the USA easily.
Its reach is stretching out further each day.
The left will never understand that is not what we do that makes us targets, but who we are or are not. We are not Muslim and we are convenient to blame for all the problems of the Muslim world.
If ISIS kills a Black American, you can bet Holder will be there to launch an investigation. If his civil rights have been violated, Holder will bring in the perpetrator and put him on trial. Who needs to go to war when you have a legal beagle like Holder on the case and handing out justice for his people.
ISIS, like all other factions of Islam, is at war with anyone and any entity or country that hasn’t converted to Islam.
This has been the case for hundreds of years.
That the State Department refuses to admit this fact says much about our leadership, and which side it favors (and it isn’t our side).
If she is saying ISIL is targeting (only) those who don’t agree with their ideology, and she is on this head swim that the US is not at ‘War’ of which ISIL has proclaimed umm they ARE with the US…what she is actually saying in her twisted liberal ideology is that we are not being targeted because we agree with their ideology…cause this is what I am hearing….DENIAL.
What more needs to be ‘shown’ by these savages, monsters….for these idiots in Washington to actually take this SERIOUSLY??? Does savagely murder rape enslave Women-girls-boys not resonate with these idiots. We have wide open borders does nothing resonate??
Did they not see them behead an American Citizen. How many more will succumb?

The primary and only stated duty of the Federal Government under our Constitution is to protect and defend our nation from invasion and attacks. IMO, in light of past attacks and openly declared threats from alQeada and ISIS, Congress and Obama’s refusal to secure our borders has become an act of treason. We have known that Mexican organized crime cartels have been associating with and even received training by middle east terrorist organizations since when Bush was in office. The Washington DC progressive elite’s push for globalism in order to please the crony capitalists puts all of us at risk while they profit.
Recall Osama realized ECONOMIC war was just as devastating to the USA as violent terror war.
That’s why he aimed at those Twin Towers called the World Trade Center.
And he did cause a tremendous hit to our economy.
But people seem unaware that ISIS is already destroying big parts of the world economy.
Oil legally sells for $101.44 as of today.
ISIS has taken over 8 oik fields and two refineries.
ISIS is now selling 2 million barrels of oil a day at $20 a barrel.*
(They have been paid as much as $60/barrel, but all their buyers know they must take what they can get, so their oil is basically being given away.)
*For comparison, Libya is only able to produce 560,000 barrels a day.
