Rigged Justice? The Questionable Assignment of Democrat Donor Judge to Trump Cases

“One cannot help but suspect that the ‘random selection’ at work in the assignment of Acting Justice Merchan, a Democrat Party donor, to these cases involving prominent Republicans, is in fact not random at all.”

Rep. Elise Stefanik, R-N.Y., has submitted an official misconduct complaint to the New York State Unified Court System regarding the allegedly “random” selection of Juan Merchan as the judge over the ongoing case against former President Donald Trump in Manhattan, she announced Tuesday evening.

Her complaint comes toward the end of a criminal trial in which Trump has faced 34 felony charges stemming from accusations that he instructed his former lawyer, Michael Cohen, to pay “hush money” to pornographer Stormy Daniels to conceal an alleged past affair. Trump is accused of falsifying financial records by failing to label these payments as campaign expenses, an absurd allegation given that labeling such payments as campaign expenses would have been illegal.

Stefanik’s complaint pertains to Merchan’s assignment to three separate criminal cases related to Trump, including his ongoing criminal trial, the previous trial against the Trump Organization, and the upcoming trial against Trump ally Steve Bannon. The New York State Unified Court System’s rules state that criminal cases are assigned to judges randomly, but Stefanik doubts this rule was followed in Democrats’ lawfare crusade, which has proved to be their top 2024 campaign strategy.

“If justices were indeed being randomly assigned in the Criminal Term, the probability of two specific criminal cases being assigned to the same justice is quite low, and the probability of three specific criminal cases being assigned to the same justice is infinitesimally small. And yet, we see Acting Justice Merchan on all three cases,” Stefanik wrote in her misconduct complaint addressed to the New York State Commission on Judicial Conduct and Inspector General Kay-Ann Porter Campbell.

“One cannot help but suspect that the ‘random selection’ at work in the assignment of Acting Justice Merchan, a Democrat Party donor, to these cases involving prominent Republicans, is in fact not random at all,” the congresswoman added

She said the reason for Merchan’s assignment to all the cases is “simple”: to secure the convictions of Trump and his allies.

This is the second complaint Stefanik filed this month, following her demand that Merchan recuse himself over glaring conflicts of interest. In addition to Merchan himself having donated to Biden, his daughter is a Democrat operative whose clients previously used the Trump indictment to fundraise for Democrat candidates.

What’s the rule?

The uniform rules that govern the trial courts in New York lay out a clear procedure for how judges should be assigned to criminal trials like the lawfare case against Trump.

Section 200.11, which covers how criminal cases are assigned to judges, states the following:

Assignment of actions to individual assignment judges. Except as provided in subdivision (b) of this section, upon commencement of a criminal action in the superior court, the action shall be assigned to a judge by the clerk of the court in which it is pending pursuant to a method of random selection authorized by the Chief Administrator. The judge thereby assigned shall be known as the “assigned judge” with respect to such action and, except as otherwise provided in subdivision (d) of this section, shall conduct all further proceedings therein.

In other words, a court clerk uses a preapproved system to randomly assign criminal cases to individual judges. At least, that’s the rule. But Stefanik, along with many other Republicans, suspect Merchan’s assignment was not so “random” after all.

According to the judicial personnel roster provided by the New York State Unified Court System, there are currently 28 judges serving on the New York County criminal term, one of which is Merchan. So as Stefanik pointed out, those odds are “infinitesimally small.”

If Not Random, Then What?

The uniform rules governing New York trial courts provide insight into the circumstances that would bypass the random assignment system. They read as follows

I guess, looking on the bright side, the repeated illicit assignment of corrupt, biased, prejudiced Mechan to Trump-related cases means there are very few dependably ideological judges that will partner with the DNC and do their bidding.

I hope Stephanik will not be too shocked and disappointed when leftist NY does what it usually does and accepts the corruption as business as usual.

In more disturbing news, it appears several of the daughter’s clients have been given access to the court room approved by the judge. There is some discussion that the jury may be conflicted about the lack of clarity of the instructions from the dirtbag judge. It only takes one juror for a hung jury. Allowing politically influenced individuals to potentially intimidate the jury in another reversible error by the corrupt judge.

How many reversible errors have there been so far? A thousand? Rolan Freisler would be proud.

Enough to reverse the suspected guilty verdict without having to even file for appeal.

What a vulgar abuse of justice. Only Democrats…

Trump inflates value of private-jet LLC by 5000% or more

Two sets of Trump’s 2023 financial disclosures show vastly different valuations for a number of Trump entities. The first disclosure, filed in April, was Trump’s required filing as a presidential candidate. The second one, in July, revised the statements made by the first.

TAG Air, Inc. is one of a number of Trump entities associated with the former president’s Boeing 757-200. During the 2016 campaign, taxpayers reportedly paid TAG Air $1.6 million to cover the cost of transporting the Secret Service agents charged with protecting him.

In an April filing with the Office of Government Ethics, Trump claimed that the TAG Air had a value of $1,001 or less. In a revised July filing, Trump valued TAG Air at between $5 million and $25 million.

Trump’s estimate of TAG Air’s value increased by 5,000% or more in just three months.

Trump’s TIGL Ireland Management Limited soared from an initial value of $1,001 or less to a range of $1 million to $5 million. The company manages Trump’s hotel and golf course in Ireland and sent the Secret Service a bill for then-Vice President Mike Pence’s 2019 visit to Ireland. Briarcliff Manor Development LLC, a company that has come under direct scrutiny by Attorney General James, saw the same movement between valuation ranges, showing an apparent gain of one thousand times or more.

Trump’s report also shows trademarks registered in countries across the globe. These include the US adversary Iran and geopolitical hotspots like Ukraine, Turkey, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Taiwan, and South Korea. It’s difficult to assess how much foreign money Trump might be making from these deals as the disclosure said income from his trademark licenses “is reported at various lines throughout the report,” passing through other Trump entities, which means that it isn’t broken out by source country.

Richard W. Painter, the former chief White House ethics lawyer and a professor at the University of Minnesota law school, emphasized the need to know more about the Republican presidential primary front-runner’s finances. “We shouldn’t have to guess. If you have someone who is running for president and they have an LLC, we should know what’s in it, what it owes, and where its revenue is coming from. If the LLC has debt, are they borrowing from Chase Manhattan Bank, or are they borrowing from the Russians? We don’t know, and we ought to know.

”Trump’s campaign is refusing to explain the drastic changes in his personal finance disclosure.

Lies?

Right. Trump lies. Constantly. His lies are documented. In the case of the 5000-fold change in his alleged valuation of Tag Air in only 3 months, with documents he himself signed. The pdf files are at the bottom of the article.

Biden lies. Constantly. His lies are documented.

Yet, you seem to have no problem with his lies. Nor do you have any problem with Biden selling out to Ukraine, China, et al, using his son as the bag man

Don’t let your head get too big Rosebud or its going to make you fall on your face

Inflation dude what needs explanation?
We need to know about the “fees” paid by Burisama to Joe while he was VP then the demand to fire a prosecutor investigating them. 900K whoa a lot of cabbage.

Judge Merchan’s donation totaled $35, you effin’ idiot.

Oh, so he only broke the ethics rules by a little bit? How about his daughter’s activities? And then there’s his obviously anti-Trump behavior in the court. As usual, instead of trying to remove all suspicions and appearances of bias, prejudice and corruption, the left prefers to do all they can to weigh the outcomes in their favor. Democrats are addicted to corruption and cheating.

Do you have any sources that have any credibility? Just wondering. Meanwhile, Robin Ware/Robert L. Peters/JRB Ware/Pedo Peter/idiot Biden enabled Putin to invade Ukraine and Iran to finance Hamas’ barbaric attack October 7th.

Greg must consult their Magic Eightball

Over 20 years ago. Before Barry sent them pallets of cash.
Wow and Biden allowed them to have money in a bank in Qtar recently WTF?!!

Your the Idiot

Verdict in. Waiting…

Guilty… of being the front runner that the Democrats cannot fairly defeat, as expected.

Guilty on all counts. Total bullshit.

Trump wins in November hands down.

A very dark day for America. Perhaps the darkest.

But I think this will be the high point for the Democrats. It’s all down hill for them from here.

The actions taken by the democrats can be Republic ending.

The GOP’s presidential candidate is a convicted felon.

And that, of course, was 100% the sole purpose of this farce trial: to be able to make that statement. The Democrats clearly realize that they have NO possible chance to legally defeat Trump in a fair, straight up election, so they need propaganda like this.

This comes as no surprise to anyone, so it changes the minds of no one. This was totally rigged to convict from the moment this corrupt judge allowed a case with no definable crime to move forward. I know you are happy, seeing fascism smear our judicial system with shame, but enjoy it while you can. This will be the high point of this campaign for you.

There’s a reason why in every statement Robin Ware/Robert L. Peters/JRB Ware/Pedo Peter/idiot Biden makes, it consists entirely of lies and that is why this case was necessary. Democrats are total failures and a disaster for this nation.

I think the verdict is correct, but what’s to be happy about? I’m not even relieved. The danger to the nation has just been cranked up a couple of notches.

The verdict cannot be correct if the trial was not a proper trial. The number of reversible errors is testament to an improper trial. America has become more dangerous now that the Justice system in place for more than two hundred years may be irreplaceably damaged.
Democrats lust for power has exposed their evil and lake of trust.

JONATHAN TURLEY: We still don’t even know what he was found guilty of — a sad day for this country.

JONATHAN TURLEY: “This is a target-rich environment for appeal. Many of us believe there are layers of reversible errors here.”

Falsifying business records to conceal hush money payments with the intent to influence the outcome of an election, in violation of two specific New York statutes. Turley knows that perfectly well.

We still don’t even know what he was found guilty of

But when the corrupt judge instructs the jury to simply fill in the blanks on what crime was committed, how could they have gotten it wrong? No matter what, the outcome is illegitimate.

How is it correct? How are the ledger entries for a private company “fraud”? How does not wanting the blackmail of a porn star not to be public a crime? How does a state court prosecute a federal FEC violation, which the FEC said was never a crime?

No doubt the jury had a lot of leeway. They were told to just invent their own crime which makes the bookkeeping error a felony. How is that any different from “Show me the man and I’ll show you the crime”? They showed the jury the man and asked them to come up with the crime that would convict him. This lasts about 10 minutes in the first court that is not on the DNC payroll.

By the way, Trump’s campaign site crashed due to the flood of donations. The expiration date on your little “victory” is already drawing near.

All 12 members of the jury were in unanimous agreement on all 34 counts.

Because Merchan told them they could pick a crime out of thin air and convict Trump on it, is they want to. Because Merchan blocked testimony by an actual FEC expert while he allowed the liar and thief Cohen to tell his version of campaign finance law. Not to worry; this will DEFINITELY be overturned on appeal. There are probably over 100 different reasons to overturn.

From under what Rock did they find the Jury?

Where did the Jury come from?

The danger to the nation has just been cranked up a couple of notches.

Correct. But not in how you think.

The Biden administration just turned into a Stalinist dictatorship. His handlers went after Trump for one reason, and one reason only. To try to assure the 4th term of Obama.

When Biden stood in the White House driveway and took a dump in his pants, Edith Biden wiped his ass with the Constitution while Jake Sullivan, John Kirby, Tony Blinken and the rest of the Obama cabal (Susan Rice, Valerie Jarret, Ron Klain, et al) smiled.

Forgive them Father for they know not what they have done.

This is next. The FBI is tracking large donations to President Trump. What might they do next?

Large donations to everyone are tracked. Large donations are reported. Old news.

Right. That’s why Democrats use Act Blue to money launder donations by illegally using innocent and unaware people as “donors”.

If you know that big donations are tracked, why are you pretending to be surprised by the fact that big donations are tracked?

why are you pretending to be surprised by the fact that big donations are tracked?

No one is surprised that big donations are tracked, groomer.
But the FBI is NOT the agency assigned that task.

You forgot they are the GESTAPO now.

Where did I express my surprise? Was there ever a time when you knew what you were talking about? Where are all those posts of people believing in an acquittal? We’re all waiting.

This comes as no surprise to anyone

What?! You people have been insisting that there’s no way he’d be convicted.

Who said he wouldn’t be convicted? It was a given that the jury, selected from a pool that voted for Robin Ware/Robert L. Peters/JRB Ware/Pedo Peter/idiot Biden by 85%, was going to be biased and prejudiced. It was hoped ONE might hold out for a hung jury, but show me the post that someone said he would be acquitted. In fact, show me anyone anywhere saying he would be acquitted. You are SO full of shit.

Still insists on being a total Moron

The real Felons you Moron are roaming the Streets for Victims while the Democ-Rats finding ways to disarm their Victims

Yes and we will vote for him and watch that laws are followed closely in the 2024 election.

The whole thing was Rigged this Kangaroo Court pinhead anything by the Democ-Rats is Rigged

You can’t support the rule of law when you set someone above it.

That’s right. That’s why, with the Democrats ignoring Hillary’s bribes, money laundering, treason, ignoring Robin Ware/Robert L. Peters/JRB Ware/Pedo Peter/idiot Biden’s corruption, treason, theft of classified documents, dereliction of duty, Hunter’s lying on a federal gun background check form, tax evasion, drug abuse, FARA violations, Mann Act violations, money laundering, influence peddling, James Biden’s tax evasion, Ashley Biden’s tax evasion, rewarding illegal immigrants for violating our immigration laws, refusing to prosecute violent and non-violent crimes…etc, etc, etc, I almost PUKE every time I hear a Democrats pretend think “no one is above the law”. The entire party is corrupt and criminal.

Explain why Hunter gets a free ride on Air Force One to go to his gun charge trial?

Democrats think their Above the Law and Ignore the U.S. Constitution all the time and their Paerners in Crime the M.S. Media cover up their Dirty Deeds
