Democrats Are Afraid Trump Will Do To Them What They Have Done To Him

A new set of anti-Trump talking points has been cropping up in the corporate press recently, warning of the horrors that will come to pass if Trump wins the election. Most of it is shameless fearmongering, but there’s something else going on too.

Democrats are afraid that if Trump is elected he’ll do to them precisely what they’re currently doing to him. When Trump fearmongers in the media cry out with one voice that Trump will weaponize the Justice Department and the courts, rig our elections, and shred the Constitution, it’s pure projection. Because that’s exactly what they’re doing right now in a desperate bid to prevent Trump from winning office again.

It should go without saying that this suddenly ubiquitous media genre is extremely dangerous. As my colleague Mollie Hemingway aptly put it in response to a hysterical Trump-as-dictator piece by Robert Kagan in The Washington Post, you might as well call it “assassination prep.”

That’s according to their own logic. After all, these people claim the republic itself is at stake and that we’re about to descend into autocracy. Liz Cheney went on NBC News over the weekend to flog her new book and warn in dire tones that in a second Trump term there’ll be “no guardrails that can stop him.” She says if Trump wins he’ll become a fascist dictator, never leave office, and plunge the United States into tyranny.

She’s not alone in this absurd belief. The prospect of dictator Trump is more or less the entire theme of a new special edition of The Atlantic, ominously titled “If Trump Wins,” for which the magazine’s writers dutifully churned out two dozen essays fantasizing about the hellscape America will become if Trump is ever allowed back into the Oval Office. Nearly every facet of our national life would be left in ruins, they say, and America will be changed forever.

CNN’s Jake Tapper was apparently so scared out of his wits by these essays, he brought some of the writers and editors onto his show to talk about their prognostications of doom for the republic under Trump — including, Tapper said with a straight face, “how women could be targeted” under a Trump “retribution presidency.”

Atlantic Editor-in-Chief Jeffrey Goldberg replied to Tapper that a second-term Trump would be “bent on revenge,” because he “knows how he was thwarted” the first time. Well, yes — but not necessarily in the way Goldberg means it.

Trump was certainly thwarted the first time around — not thwarted in some dictatorial scheme but in the normal exercise of his office. A deeply corrupt media establishment — including the likes of Tapper and Goldberg — worked hand-in-glove with anti-Trump elements in the federal bureaucracy to peddle the Russia-collusion hoax in an unprecedented attempt to oust him from office or, failing that, undermine his presidency. During the 2020 election, many of these same elements succeeded in suppressing the Hunter Biden laptop story. And after Jan. 6, 2021, they have cheered on the blatant weaponization of the justice system unleashed by Biden and the Democrats.

You almost have to admire the audacity of Democrats actively doing to Trump everything they say Trump will do to them if he regains the White House. You can’t get more on-the-nose in this regard than a triple-bylined piece that ran in The New York Times on Monday warning, “Mr. Trump’s vow to use the Justice Department to wreak vengeance against his adversaries is a naked challenge to democratic values. Building on how he tried to get prosecutors to go after his enemies while in office, it would end the post-Watergate norm of investigative independence from White House political control.”

It’s almost like the Times is trolling its readers with this. Surely the reporters and editors behind this laughable piece of agitprop know that this is exactly what the Biden Justice Department and powerful Democrats nationwide are now doing to Trump. The idea that Merrick Garland is some sort of straight-shooting attorney general is a joke. Not one person in America really believes it.

So what do Democrats and their media courtesans do? They lean into the gaslighting, claiming over and over in the most outlandish terms that a second Trump term will bring about everything that’s happening now under President Biden.

Why? Because they’re desperate. They know that owing to the weakness and corruption and unpopularity of the current president, there’s a chance Trump just might win next year. That’s why Democrat attorneys general and federal prosecutors want so desperately to convict him of a crime, any crime, and why editors and writers at the Times and The Atlantic will say almost anything to scare voters with horror stories about what will happen if Trump wins.

This is what these lying fear mongers fail to realize or, more likely, hope we won’t notice: with Trump in office, all the checks and balances are back in place. Unless and until the swamp is fully drained and cleared, there will be no lack of turds in the punchbowl floating around to try and stop whatever Trump is trying to do, no matter how 100% beneficial to everyone it may be. With Robin Ware/Robert L. Peters/JRB Ware/Pedo Peter/idiot Biden, the checks and balances are waived. They don’t exist. The office of the Presidency, the FBI, the IRS, the DoJ and the IC all act as rogue actors pursuing the leftist dream of a totalitarian police state.

Also, let’s ignore the minor fact that Trump, despite the accusations, never showed any inclination, tendency or desire to resort to the dictatorial behavior we saw under Obama and Robin Ware/Robert L. Peters/JRB Ware/Pedo Peter/idiot Biden. In fact, disregarded tenets of the Constitution were restored (which weakened Trump against his opponents that totally trampled the Constitution).

If Trump can get the right people in key positions, he COULD exact some well-deserved revenge… not for what they did to him but for what they have done to the country. I’ve said for a while, the thing this nation needs, for its own good, is to see the people who have blatantly violated the Constitution (like Schiff, Pelosi, Obama, Robin Ware/Robert L. Peters/JRB Ware/Pedo Peter/idiot Biden, Garland, Comey, Smith, etc, etc, etc) and punish them to the fullest extent of the law. Otherwise, as it stands, miscreants see no downside to trying to overthrow the government and failing. They simply get to try over and over again. And the January 6th non-violent protesters should be pardoned and room made for the BLM/ANTIFA violent terrorists.

The Eco-Freaks fear Trump is going to Derail their Go Green Train of Wind and Solar nonsense and stop the UN/Globalists in their Tracks

There aren’t enough undead and zombies to get Brandon elected. I mean who believes there were 81 plus million of them the last time around? So they have to eliminate Trump, the old JFK method. Then they can select their puppet, my guess is Big Mike, its time for our first black tranny master cylinder.

Just saying… Where are those enthusiastic voters???
Oh… they were just ballots…

There needs to be a stringent account of all of it. From the beginnings of the Russia Collusion to the COVID Virus & Vaccine fraud. All those who knowingly acted beyond what the law allows should be prosecuted, including GOP members and members of the Trump Administration. They know what they did, and are preparing the ground to allege partisan persecution. They know, that we know.

Remember, the next time somebody says “dictator”, it’s just a little joke.

12/04/23 – ‘Dictator’ Trump warnings spook America

Could a second Donald Trump presidency slide into dictatorship? A sudden spate of dystopian warnings has got America talking about the possibility less than a year before the US elections.

Dark scenarios about what could happen if the twice-impeached Republican former president wins in 2024 have appeared in the space of a few days in major US media outlets that include The Washington Post, The New York Times and the Atlantic.

Grim predictions also came from top Republican Trump critic Liz Cheney, who said that the country is “sleepwalking into dictatorship” and that she is weighing a third-party presidential run of her own to try to stop him.

Together, they paint a bleak picture of an angrier yet more disciplined Trump than during his first spell in the White House, one who would wreak vengeance on his perceived enemies and possibly try to stay in power beyond the two-term US limit.

Trump, 77, responded to the warnings in typical style by laughing them off — with an edge.

“He says, you’re not going to be a dictator, are you? I said no, no, no — other than day one,” Trump said when asked in a televised Fox News townhall on Tuesday if he would abuse power or seek retribution.

“We’re closing the border and we’re drilling, drilling, drilling (for oil). After that I’m not a dictator.”

– ‘Day one’ –

President Joe Biden, who is behind Trump in the polls ahead of a likely replay of their bitter 2020 contest, said the warnings backed his own claims to be defending democracy.

“If Trump wasn’t running, I’m not sure I’d be running. But we cannot let him win,” the 81-year-old Democrat told a campaign event in Massachusetts.

Biden cited Trump’s own increasingly violent language on the campaign trail, saying his rival’s description of his opponents as “vermin” echoed the language used in Nazi Germany.

The most eye-opening piece appeared in The Washington Post by conservative commentator Robert Kagan, with the headline: “A Trump dictatorship is increasingly inevitable. We should stop pretending.”

Comparing him to the power-grabbing Roman emperor Julius Caesar, the lengthy article says neither the US Constitution nor the Supreme Court could prevent Trump being “president for life” if he wanted.

Kagan wrote that if Trump survives the trials he faces over trying to upend the 2020 election and cling to power illegally, and wins the next election, he will in effect feel he is above the law and can get away with anything.

The New York Times analyzed the ways that a “second term could unleash a darker President Trump” than in his chaotic first presidency from 2017-2021.

Trump has “spoken admiringly of autocrats for decades” and would likely follow their example by packing the civil service with loyalists and using the Justice Department to crack down on opponents, it said.

In scenes reminiscent of a dystopian movie, it said Trump would also set up migrant detention camps and use the military against protesters under the US Insurrection Act.

The Atlantic magazine meanwhile is dedicating its entire January-February 2024 issue to what a Trump presidency would look like, with an editor’s note titled simply: “A Warning.”

– ‘Dangerous moment’ –

Some of the most dire forebodings have come from Cheney, the former Republican lawmaker and daughter of ex-vice president Dick Cheney, whose opposition to Trump made her a pariah in the party.

“It’s a very dangerous moment,” she told NBC on Sunday.

There was “no question” Trump would try to stay in office beyond 2028, she said, adding that the January 6, 2021 assault on the Capitol by supporters trying to overturn Biden’s election win was merely a “practice run.”

For his critics, Trump’s autocratic side has long been in plain sight.

Trump already faces trial for conspiring to upend the 2020 election result, with prosecutors saying on Tuesday that evidence shows he was determined to “remain in power at any cost.”

His language has turned more extreme in recent months, during which he described migrants as “poisoning the blood of our country” and suggested his former military chief should face death for treason.

But in the looking-glass world of Trump and his allies, he is always the victim.

“Joe Biden is the real dictator,” Trump said in a picture posted on his conservative Truth Social network.

Biden is guy who sent out a flurry of EO’s when he got in power. Many got tossed out in court. Seems a bit dictatorial to me.
Spooked you say. Trump plays the media and they get suckered every time. Now here’s what should spook everyone. How many wars does Biden want?

Instead of incessant lying and fear mongering, why don’t you Democrats just run on all your positive accomplishments and… oh. That’s right.

Never mind.

It is a joke. Another lying, leftist, fascist totalitarian police state-loving joke.

No, he didn’t tap dance. He cracked a joke (since the idea of him being “dictator” is a joke) then emphatically said NO. But, that’s just truth and facts. Nothing a card-carrying leftist fascist would be interested in.
