In a NYTimes op-ed tastefully published on the eve of the 11th anniversary of 9/11:

What I am saying to you is Mitt Romney, he’s speaking to a segment of the population who does not like to see people other than a white man in a White House or any other elected position.
…He’s speaking to that fringe out there who do not want to see anybody other than a white person in a leadership position.
So how could this have happened? If you voted for Obama you have nobody to blame but yourself. I’ve written previously about the right’s share of the blame in our country’s current leadership, but we at least managed low expectations. Living in DC, I remember the feeling around town. Among conservatives there was a very guarded hope that electing a man with little experience and radicals in his past might somehow work. But among the left? There was a certain electricity in the air. People seemed happier, milling about, some proudly wearing their creepy baubles to proclaim their cult membership (Obama buttons, t-shirts, hats, handbags, etc). Then the messiah they had elected actually had to do something he had never been asked to do before – do his job; lead and take responsibility. And the results have been predictable. Again, how did so many fall for this act?
On the eve of the ObamaCare decision and the Holder contempt hearing I thought this post would be a great reminder of a common tactic by the left, but in the real world the tactic is called insanity.
It’s Bush’s fault!
Yes, putting Obama’s head on a stake and using it in a movie or in decapitation scenes would warrant apoplectic Progressives and Liberals to grasp their crotch and jump up and down like small children waiting tin a long line to use the bathroom, but putting Bush’s head on a stake is an exercise in effigy conservation. Surely a cadre of FBI agents would descend on the light hearted pranksters who dared to use a facsimile of Obama’s head; since no less than ten agents were sent to Florida to investigate whether George Zimmerman displayed traces of racial bigotry while perforating targets at neighborhood ranges and buying weapons at gun stores. We all know, the slightest hint of racism or an ethnic joke would catapult the Martin tragedy into the realm of a hate crime and out of the realm of a normal Florida shooting.
Do you recall a time, a few years back, when the media wouldn’t shut up about a supposed outing of a agent? Yup, the left and the media were pissed.
I bet you could just imagine the firestorm of coverage that would result if instead of a former Secretary of State leaking a name it was our President….right?

Every single time anything goes wrong for Obama he does what he does best. Blame the other guy:
