Kid Rock and The UFC Are Both Wrong on Bud Light

Loading

Yesterday morning I came across a Tim Pool video telling us that because Kid Rock and Dana White are back to supporting Bud Light, somehow we Normals have won the fight and somehow it’s OK to drink Bud Light again. The short argument is that our grassroots boycott has caused Tranheuser Busch to take huge losses and make massive efforts to try to win back beer drinkers. That’s the rationale, although I’m not so sure. Back in April I weighed in, Budweiser Has a Path to Redemption – Will they Take It? I laid out steps for them to take that would bring us Normals back, so let’s review, shall we?

  • InBev need to sell AB. All of it. It needs to be sold to 100% American ownership. I’m sure there are a number of Based investors who would like to make Bud a fun all American brand again. If Jeremy Boering doesn’t have the capitol to buy, he probably knows someone who does.
  • AB needs to lose the Deep State Plant CEO. For that matter, fire anyone from the new company who has any ties to the Deep State or Big Tech.
  • Issue an immediate apology, and not that “We’re sorry that you suck” apology, but a real one. Acknowledge the stupidity of weighing into politics, and give a promise that it will never happen again. Close by stating that Bud will return to being a patriotic brand, and if you think that love for America is political then go back to your cheap chardonnay or Zima.
  • Launch an ad campaign that goes back to your roots – Bud being All American, and Bud Light being funny. The Radical Left can pound sand and cry into their Three Buck Chucks.
  • That also means divesting of any activities that stray from these credos. No more rainbow cans, sponsoring Gay Pride marches, etc. Just be about beer.

Let’s see… it looks like they went…. 0 for 5. And yes, I just checked LinkedIn to confirm that their Deep State CEO is still in charge. True, he might not have updated his profile, but if he had gotten a well earned termination it would have hit one of my feeds. And no, Bud did not hit the 4th bullet point. Running old school style ads without any type of contrition just came off as a ham fisted effort to scold us Normals into forgetting what they did and to just come back. Sorry, I don’t care how many celebrities or big businesses they purchase – Bud Light’s only regret is that we Normals rejected their extremist agenda and expect  us to forgive and forget.

Sorry, but that’s not how it works. If you dump a longtime girlfriend because she starts disrespecting you, you don’t take her back just because she meets up with you and reminds you of all of the good times you had. Sure, nothing takes those away, but she has given you no reason to believe that she’s not going to heap the same trash on you that led you to walk away in the first place. Without a sincere apology, real contrition, the expectation is that you will be mistreated again. And at this point it’s your fault.

So no, this wasn’t a victory for us Normals. And while I was never huge fans of Kid Rock or UFC, I never disliked either. This just makes me care a little bit less. So congrats, A-B, you’re still garbage and now you’re just pulling down others.

One last note, in the time between when I wrote this and finished editing for publishing, Tim Pool, to his credit, ran a follow up post addressing Matt Walsh destroying his arguments.

Brother Bob is no longer on Facebook (although you can see his archives there), and is back on Twitter again, but is ramping up on Minds and Gab, as well as Parler and GETTR, and has his biggest presence on MeWe.

I don’t follow UFC, I like Kid Rock OK but I never liked Bud Light. Everything remains the same.

Just so long as Shiner doesn’t hire a tranny spokesperson…

It was not Dilly Dilly that chick had a willie.
