End this impeachment farce ASAP. Dare dems to start another

Loading

It was quite the day yesterday. Adam Schiff bored the living hell out of the Senate and the country. He went on spewing lie and lie after lie, noted on CNN

Schiff’s mendacity is noted even by Chris Wallace

Jerry Nadler essentially accused GOP Senators of treason, alienating the jury. It was so bad that Justice John Roberts told them to dial it back.

The democrat circus is to go on for two more days. Schiff began repeating himself endlessly after a while. It was so bad he had to reach back for his Russian collusion fantasy. He offered nothing new. He did at one point seem to lose his mind when he warned that the Russians could attack and invade US soil.

“As one witness put it during our impeachment inquiry, the United States aids Ukraine and her people so that we can fight Russia over there, and we don’t have to fight Russia here,” Schiff said, drawing rebukes from commentators across the political spectrum.

SMH. Ukraine is so vital that obama withheld lethal aid for three years and left it to Trump to actually send anti-tank missiles.

This impeachment is based entirely on innuendo and smear. It’s a Kavanaugh redux. Dems find “evidence” and “witnesses” they for some reason could not find previously.

Anyway, after this torture has ended, the GOP impeachment managers and lawyers take over. IMO what they should do is dissect each and every lie uttered by Schiff and his cohorts.

The Senate operates on rules of evidence, unlike the House. No hearsay.

The GOP should strip away every extraneous nonfactual bit including all of the testimony from other than fact witnesses and then boil this down to what it is.

Trump facing two articles of impeachment- one is for his seeking relief from the courts and the other is for exerting executive privilege. Neither is a crime.

Both articles are unconstitutional. The GOP lawyers should right then and there demand a summary judgment to dismiss and this nonsense should end. Period.

Then McConnell should suggest that if dems are still unhappy, they should start another impeachment process and try to get the witnesses they claim to so desperately want. They had their opportunity to have all the witnesses they wanted and they chose not to pursue it. It is not the responsibility of the Senate to correct their failures.

It is said that at least 75% are going to be unpersuaded by this charade.

In what has to be one of the most frightening things I’ve seen in a long time, Adam Schiff asserted that democrats will attempt to deny Americans their right to vote. (And I thought he was already crazy)

“For precisely this reason, the president’s misconduct cannot be decided at the ballot box,”

Yet I do remember someone saying something like this:

democrats have done literally nothing for the country over the last three years. Let them continue on that path. Let the democrats begin anew and see how much appetite the country has for more of their idiocy.

Now let’s see what’s really going on.

This is democrats’ last, best chance to undo an election. For the country’s and future Presidents’ sake, you best hope they fail.

@Randy, #49:

Actually greggie, there is quite a lot of proof if you care to examine it.

Proof? Such as what? Take the reality challenge. Name an item or two.

This news just in, straight from the Twilight Zone: Lindsey Graham will oppose subpoena of Hunter Biden

…because we would have to ask specific questions, and then deal with specific answers.

@Greg: Your opinion ignores Biden’s on confession and the facts. You ignore the documented evidence of White House meetings discussing Ukraine, Burisma, money, Biden and corruption. (Evidence… something you have none of)

Hell, Schiff is bringing up failed Russian collusion and Trump’s joke that Russia had the 33,000 emails Hillary obliterated (and they probably did); everything they accused is based on their own corruption!

What you’ve been watching is a repeat of the House farce; nothing but the Democrats’ false narrative. Next you’ll get the defense with documents and evidence. You are going to ultimately regret starting this attempted coup.

@Greg: greggie, you would not recognize proof if you sat on it!

@Deplorable Me, #52:

Your opinion ignores Biden’s on confession and the facts.

I ignore nonsense.

Biden didn’t confess to anything, other than to having accomplished the specific thing he was sent to Ukraine to do, pursuant to an official, openly stated policy objective of the United States State Department—the removal of Viktor Shokin, an abysmally ineffective Prosecutor General who was doing nothing to address the nation’s corruption problem. Biden wasn’t actually confessing, he was taking credit. Nor was the fact that Shokin was worse than useless at his job the unique knowledge of our own State Department. This was widely recognized in Ukraine and elsewhere. During Shokin’s 13 months in office, not a single prominent figure involved in Ukrainian corruption was convicted.

On top of everything else, the Burmisa investigation had already ended long before Hunter Biden had any sort connection with the company. He couldn’t have used his influence to that end, nor did his father get Shokin booted to protect his son. The time frames simply aren’t compatible with the claims. This is another concocted theory that doesn’t stand up to an understanding of the underlying facts.

@Greg: Biden held up funds to the Ukraine to have a prosecutor removed who was investigating the company who had hired Biden’s son. That looks like a confession. I told you would not recognize proof if you sat on it!

@Randy:

Known facts aren’t compatible with the claim. There was no investigation of Biden’s son. The Ukrainian government has confirmed this. Yet people keep saying it. It’s deliberate disinformation, intended to confuse the issue. Rudy is a damn liar. So is the man he’s working for.

The lie they’re pushing is not just self-serving. It’s damaging to the best interests of the United States. And it serves the interests of Vladimir Putin, whether that’s intentional or not.

If we want the truth, the Senate must call in the witnesses to testify in impeachment trial. If we need to hear what Hunter Biden has to say, they can call him in too. What will not stand is an obvious cover up. If you want to give democrats a fearsome weapon to use in the coming election, go ahead and do that. See what happens. There’s no way it would work out well for the GOP.

@Greg: The investigation was of the company that was paying Biden’s son. That was a fact. You really are stupid greggie. You can not keep facts straight or even understand facts if they are not slanted to the left!

@Greg:

Known facts aren’t compatible with the claim. There was no investigation of Biden’s son.

Busted. NO ONE has said Hunter was being investigated; Burisma, where Hunter was drawing a check monthly…for doing NOTHING. BUT, the investigation would have implicated Hunter and Joe and exposed massive corruption. Burisma warned the Obama White House of the risk of exposure and Joe forced the end of the investigation.

It’s documented. It should be investigated. THAT’S what Trump wanted investigated. Anyone should want to know if their candidate is corrupt… anyone but a Democrat, that is.

@Randy:

Comrade Greggie has been here at FA for a long time. Ever remember him demanding Obama be impeached when he asked Putin for more “flexibility?” Obama even mentioned his “election “ on that hot mic take. But Comrade Greggie seemingly was fine with Obama cutting a deal with the Russians.

@Randy, #57:

The investigation was of the company that was paying Biden’s son. That was a fact.

That was also over long before Hunter Biden was involved. The whole thing had gone totally dormant. Viktor Shokin was doing nothing. His self-serving claim that he would have came after he was given the boot, and Rudy’s project was suddenly seen by him as a way he might regain some relevance.

@Greg: Nope. Wrong. The purpose of hiring Hunter was to shield them from investigation. Burisma reminded the Obama White House of this and Joe leapt into action.

@Deplorable Me, #61:

The purpose of hiring Hunter was to shield them from investigation.

We know Burmisa hired Hunter Biden. Nobody seemed to think there was anything about it that needed to be hidden.

So who hired Rudy? Who’s picking up the tab for Rudy and his crew’s private international jet flights and expensive hotel stays? If Trump isn’t paying his own “personal attorney” and picking up the tab for related costs, who is? The RNC? Some Ukrainian billionaire oligarch, trying to dodge extradition? Russian sponsored enemies of Zelensky’s reform government? That would be interesting to know. We don’t even know that the funding is legal. His cohorts have already been indicted on campaign finance fraud charges.

@Deplorable Me:

See that Comrade Greggie is dodging responding to Obama’s hot mic incident.

He’s such a hypocrite.

@Greg: You are right to be concerned about Guiliani. He is going to RIP Democrats a new asshole.

@retire05: Because it is OK for a Democrat to commit treason. In fact, it’s surprising if they dont.

It looks like the swing vote Senators are wondering why the HoR failed to have the courts rule on Administrative Branch Privilege. Everyone who knows how impeachment processes are supposed to work have commented on that FACT since the beginning. The liberals just wanted to dirty Trump and have been rewarded with the highest poll ratings for Trump ever.

@Greg:

We know Burmisa hired Hunter Biden. Nobody seemed to think there was anything about it that needed to be hidden.

Indeed, Obama-Era corruption was always hiding in plain sight. The over-reliance on the media to simply not cover something, or call it a debunked conspiracy once somebody asked questions, is no longer powerful enough to hide these injustices.
Graham announced an investigation WILL happen. The Dems are not above the law, though their enablers seem to justify anything they do.

@Greg: Maybe it’s just me… how many $80,000 a month jobs do you get offered where you don’t have to know anything about the business, speak the language where the business is or ever even show up for work? I don’t get very many.

The senate is adjourned, the whining and crying about them not doing their jobs coming to an acme with closing speech or Pencilneck.
It really burnt their buns when Comey was fired and Trump said he could do anything he wanted with the employees of the executive branch, they just couldnt play that edited, out of context clip enough.
Where is the Michael Atkinson transcript? that guy needs to look for a new job.

January 24, 2020 — Trump has repeatedly denied knowing Lev Parnas. So now a tape surfaces allegedly recorded by Igor Furman—another co-conspirator he allegedly doesn’t know—wherein Parnas and Trump are discussing the need to get rid of Ambassador Yovanovitch, over dinner:

Trump caught on tape demanding ambassador’s firing

Both Furman and Parnas were brought into Trump’s inner circle by Rudy Giuliani—the guy that John Bolton warned was “a hand grenade who is going to blow everybody up.”

Republican Senators have been warned what could happen if they go along with blocking witness testimony. They’ll have nobody but themselves to blame if they knowingly aid in concealing critical information that’s going to come out anyway.

@Greg: How many “bombshells” is this for you? 1,000? 2,000?

@Deplorable Me: Doesnt make sense, he can fire her at any time, she wasnt there from the Clinton admin, why would Trump tell them to get rid of her they are not from the State Dept. Donors at a fund raising dinner in 2018, Fishy fishy fishy.
Its easy to fake voices now with computer technology super easy. Why wouldnt Schifty already have this, if gathered by NY prosecutors?
https://gizmodo.com/this-artificially-intelligent-speech-generator-can-fake-1794839913

@kitt: Every motion Trump takes the Democrats try to make it look illegal. Being morons, they can’t see how ridiculous they’ve made themselves look. Just spoiled little crybabies that didn’t get their way.

@kitt:

Its easy to fake voices now with computer technology super easy. Why wouldnt Schifty already have this, if gathered by NY prosecutors?

Step # 1. He didn’t say it.

Step # 2. Okay, he said it but………

@Ronald J. Ward: I am saying it does not make sense for him not to contact his State Dept and have her recalled in 2018, all within his power he needs no reason at all. Wouldnt it make more sense for him to say, I’ll have her fired? Not to say to them to get rid of her?
I realize logic and reason isnt part of the lefts thought patterns.
Early in 2017 Jan 26, 2017 · Trump’s Hollowed-Out State Department. … 2017 . Molly Riley / AP. Link Copied … If you think Foggy Bottom has been a disastrous mess, then house-cleaning might be a good thing.
So did they have any issue in removing people not on board with Trumps new America First policy?

In about 30 minutes, the defense has pretty much destroyed the Democrat’s case. Showing the evidence (EVIDENCE) the Democrats chose not to show, they confirm that Trump did nothing wrong, that the Democrats KNEW he had done nothing wrong and they they’ve built their entire impeachment case around LIES. By the way, I consider hiding exculpatory evidence a LIE.

@Ronald J. Ward: It’s also easy to say you have a recording and not really have a recording. It’s also easy to point out that Trump has every right to fire any ambassador at any time, especially a lying scumbag like Yovanovich.

Yes, that’s what I said: Step # 1. He didn’t say that.

We’ve seen this movie over and over.

@Deplorable Me: I cant wait til they get to the part about the removal of the Ambassador.

@Ronald J. Ward: Can’t help but notice you haven’t provided a link to the recording. Like the Democrats presenting their pack of lies to the Senate, not enough time? Not enough room?

@kitt: They just presented the letter sent to Ukraine by Menendez, Leahy and Durbin threatening cutting aid unless they gave Mueller dirt on Trump.

@Deplorable Me:

@Ronald J. Ward: It’s also easy to say you have a recording and not really have a recording. It’s also easy to point out that Trump has every right to fire any ambassador at any time, especially a lying scumbag like Yovanovich.

Step 1 and Step 2 wrapped into one. How witty.

Step # 3. (yet to come) Okay, he did say it and he did mean it but
a) it really isn’t all that bad
b) Obama Obama Obama
c) they all do it
d) all of the above

@Ronald J. Ward: You left out #4: It doesn’t exist except in the desperate, corrupt minds of liberals, but if they just SAY it exists, plenty of naïve idiots will jump on it like a duck on an Junebug, without question, even though they have been fed nothing but lies since Democrats decided to unseat Trump. Why did you leave that one out?

Oh… and where is your link to the recording?

@Deplorable Me: Watching it, The Dems wove a disinformation platform assisted by the media, any platform without a solid foundation falls.

@kitt: Yeah, CBS called the defense “Trump’s discredited conspiracy theories”. Really presenting the whole picture. No wonder so many liberals are so totally stupid on the subject.

@Deplorable Me:

Can’t help but notice you haven’t provided a link to the recording. Like the Democrats presenting their pack of lies to the Senate, not enough time? Not enough room?

Oh, I’ve never claimed or disputed the authenticity. That wasn’t my point. Like anything and everything in the alternative reality Trump enabler world, it doesn’t matter anyway.

@Deplorable Me: Gavel is coming down til Monday 1 pm that was quick.

@Ronald J. Ward: So, your argument is to trust in the “evidence” even though there is no proof it exists but NOT accepting it UNTIL it is provided is absurd. OK.

Well, it’s not surprising that you’ve gobbled up all the Democrat argument up till now. You have no interest in facts. But, that’s your MO.

@kitt: For all practical purposes, it’s over. In the brief time the defense presented, they showed the Democrats have absolutely NO credibility.

Meanwhile, in AJ’s world, we are supposed to blindly believe them. They prefer to be stupid.

@Deplorable Me:

@Ronald J. Ward: So, your argument is to trust in the “evidence” even though there is no proof it exists but NOT accepting it UNTIL it is provided is absurd. OK.

Couple of things:
1) When you say “so your argument is…..” , those are your words, not mine.
2) If I want to address an argument to you, I’ll let you know.

@Deplorable Me: PBS had a unique way of dismissing the defense , ending with the theatrics of Schff coming to the chamber this morning with an aid pushing a cart on which she says is the evidence, 25000 pages. Why this was important seeing it was not their turn to present, just more clown show playing to cameras.

@Ronald J. Ward: You know, we all are aware of your ignorance driven cowardice. You don’t have to continually reinforce it.

You and Democrats have done nothing but lie. That’s not opinion; it’s been verified. So, when any of you Hillary/Obama/Biden sycophants make some bombastic “bombshell” declarations, you might want to have your links handy for without them, you will not be believed.

You, like every other Democrat, have no credibility. None.

@Deplorable Me: The Democrats have cherrypicked everything that reinforced Mr Credible Adam Schitts parody reading of the call memo.

@Deplorable Me, #70:

What don’t you understand about the plain and simple truth that Donald Trump is an inveterate liar? How many times does it have to be demonstrated?

Parnas isn’t just some random person who happened to have his photograph taken on multiple occasions with Trump, Donald Jr, Pence, Rudy Giuliani, etc. Trump was aware of everything Giuliani and his accomplices have been up to. They were following his instructions. It wasn’t just a crime. It was a criminal conspiracy.

Trump’s defense team isn’t there to reveal the truth. Their function is to keep the damning truths hidden, and to blow enough hot air to confuse the public about what’s actually happening. What’s actually happening is the blanket suppression of witness testimony and documentary evidence at the orders of the man who is on trial.

They’re going to repeat Trump’s bullshit and lies on the floor of the Senate. Their function is to give republican senators enough cover to break their affirmation oath and get away with turning a critically important constitutional process into a mockery. They’re function is to facilitate a betrayal of the Constitution, the Founding Fathers, and the American people to protect a man who is ethically unfit for the office he occupies. An innocent man does not fear testimony from witnesses who have direct, first-hand knowledge of the truth.

The absurdity is that the truth is bound to come out anyway, and will likely take down everyone who has chained himself to Trump’s rowing benches along with him. It will be hard to feel sorry for any of them. They will have fastened the chain and padlock to their own ankles.

@Greg:

How much do your handlers pay you to propagate your bu!!shit?

@retire05, #92:

You don’t have anything in the way of a rational rebuttal, do you?

You know what I’m saying is true. Any intelligent person who has been watching the Senate coverage with an open mind knows.

Witnesses with first-hand knowledge must be called to testify. Documents that have been locked down must be considered. If they aren’t, what we’re witnessing is a White House orchestrated cover-up and a betrayal of the Constitution and American people, not a fair, honest, and impartial Senate trial.

@retire05: y@Greg:

When is Schiff going to release ALL the testimony to the Senate? Why is he withholding the testimony of Atkinson?

Oh, that’s right, you don’t answer questions that are inconvenient to your bu!!shit and lies.

You remain the brain washed idiot you’ve always been.

@Greg:

Trump loyalist have gone beyond the point of rational. They are empty suits and I suspect it will get worse. Thing is, Trump will be acquitted and they will then bask in their victory and we will hear “total exoneration” and such, all while defending the cover-up as a fair trial.

Debbie Lesko could have walked to the podium this morning, raised a leg and farted into the microphone, and then yielded the remainder of her time and the right would have declared “she so owned the libs” and “she just proved Trump’s innocence”.

@Ronald J. Ward, #95:

Trump loyalist have gone beyond the point of rational.

It certainly seems that way. I’ve never been entirely sure whether the Fascist Checklist or the Cult Checklist best applies. Trump seems like a hybrid phenomenon. It’s weird how all non-cult members are viewed as the ones who are brainwashed.

@retire05, #94:

When is Schiff going to release ALL the testimony to the Senate? Why is he withholding the testimony of Atkinson?

Because Michael Atkinson is the Intelligence Community’s inspector general, the testimony was given in a closed session before the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, and committee members in attendance—which included both republicans and democrats—are barred by committee rules from disclosing the details, which could include classified information. That’s why such sessions are closed to begin with.

What Trump wanted was confirmation of the identity of the whistle blower. This is irrelevant to what he has been charged with. The whistle blower’s report is not being presented as evidence. It’s only the reason the House first became aware that something needed to be investigated. Trump has previously demonstrated his propensity for meting out retribution.

@Greg:

It wasn’t just a crime. It was a criminal conspiracy.

Id sure like to know how.
Rudy has spoken with officials and former officials gathered documents, followed the money trail of the Biden/Kerry crime families. He most likely has shared all what he discovered with Barr to see if it could help his investigation into illegally spying and the 34 million wasted on an investigation that they knew was baseless.
As baseless as the impeachment that Schiff created with another spy.

@kitt, #98:

Rudy plans to share “what he discovered” via a series of podcasts, not through any official or legal process. That way no confirmation is required, nor is there the danger of perjury. It’s a propaganda and disinformation operation intended to undermine legitimate processes, such as the current impeachment trial.

Reality TV is not reality, but a surprisingly large percentage of the American population doesn’t seem to get that.

@Greg:

What a load of crap you presented totally standing our system of juris prudence on its head.

Atkinson’s testimony clearly did not benefit Schitt or it would have been leaked by Schitt himself.

Read the whistleblower act. A whistleblower has no right of anonymity, only the right to not be retaliated against. But every accused has the right to confront their accuser.

I know our laws are a real pain in your Commie a$$. But when you’ve lost Jeffery Toobin, you’ve lost the fight.

Go away, dumass, or stick with your new found friend, AJ/Ward, another radical POS.
