Captain Adam Queeg is determined to find the strawberries

Adam Schiff is transitioning before our very eyes. He refuses to allow facts to deter him from his quixotic quest to take down Donald Trump.

The Senate Intelligence Committee finally concluded a report in which it found no evidence of collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia:

WASHINGTON — After two years and 200 interviews, the Senate Intelligence Committee is approaching the end of its investigation into the 2016 election, having uncovered no direct evidence of a conspiracy between the Trump campaign and Russia, according to both Democrats and Republicans on the committee.

But investigators disagree along party lines when it comes to the implications of a pattern of contacts they have documented betweenTrump associates and Russians — contacts that occurred before, during and after Russian intelligence operatives were seeking to help Donald Trump by leaking hacked Democratic emails and attacking his opponent, Hillary Clinton, on social media.

“If we write a report based upon the facts that we have, then we don’t have anything that would suggest there was collusion by the Trump campaign and Russia,” said Sen. Richard Burr, R-N.C., the chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, in an interview with CBS News last week.

The left wing media has been studiously avoiding this finding:

The Media Research Center (MRC) did the research and found that between January 21, 2017, and February 10, 2019, “ABC’s World News Tonight, the CBS Evening News, and the NBC Nightly News [spent] 2,202 minutes on the Russia investigation [, which] accounted for nearly 19 percent of all Trump-related reporting [, and now] none of those three shows have even mentioned the investigation since NBC’s report came out on February 12.”

Additionally, it is expected that Robert Mueller will find no collusion as well. Jonathan Karl:

But what I am getting is that this is all building up to the Mueller report and raising expectations of a bombshell report. And there have been expectations that have been building, of course, for over a year on this. But people who are closest to what Mueller has been doing, interacting with the special counsel caution me that this report is almost certain to be anti-climactic.”

Schiff is having none of it.

However, when he was asked point blank if he would accept Mueller’s findings if no clear evidence of collusion is determined, Schiff demurred. Instead he focused his answer on how his committee will conduct its own inquiry and how he’ll fight to gain access to Mueller’s evidence should it be withheld from public view.

“We’re going to have to do our own investigation, and we are. We’ll certainly be very interested to learn what Bob Mueller finds. We may have to fight to get that information. Bill Barr has not been willing to commit to provide that report either to the Congress or to the American people. We’re going to need to see it,” Schiff said on “State of the Union,” referring to Trump’s newly confirmed attorney general.

Schiff is transitioning, to coin a phrase, into Captain Queeg (of the Caine Mutiny)

Schiff is determined to find those lost strawberries. In fact, he asserts the strawberries are in plain sight:

“You can see evidence in plain sight on the issue of (strawberries) collusion, pretty compelling evidence,” Schiff said, adding, “There is a difference between seeing evidence of (strawberries)  collusion and being able to prove a criminal conspiracy beyond a reasonable doubt.”

For some reason, Schiff believes he has more and better resources than did Mueller to find those strawberries.

“Chairman Burr must have a different word for it,” Schiff told host Dana Bash on “State of the Union,” pointing to communications between Russia and Donald Trump Jr. and former Trump aides George Papadopoulos and Michael Flynn.

Both episodes were likely “arranged”, IMO by Hillary Clinton and the obama DOJ/FBI. Finding the strawberries is really not the issue. As I have noted previously, this is all a sham designed to be something democrats can harangue Trump with right through the next election.

And that is the whole point of it. And if Schiff doesn’t find those strawberries?

But take heart, there are things Schiff does believe:

PS

Schiff has some explaining of his own to do

Earlier this month, award-winning investigative journalist John Solomon of The Hill reported that during a security conference in Aspen, Colorado, Schiff met with Simpson. Simpson has been a key witness in investigations of Russian interference in the 2016 U.S. presidential election.

Solomon wrote: “When confronted with the Aspen conference photos of Schiff, in sport coat and open-neck dress shirt, and Simpson, wearing casual attire, representatives for both men tried to minimize their discussion, insisting nothing substantive about the Russia case was discussed.”

Surely, it would be reasonable for Schiff – who is so eager to investigate President Trump – to subject himself to questioning and an investigation of his contacts with Simpson, because an important issue is at stake.

We could replace Schiff with one FA’er and most of the TDS affected left, who think is a gallon can of jam. Recycled debunked connections presented to them like its breaking news and conclusive proof.
So solving the puzzle
A STREET CAR NA*ED DESIRE
They would ask for the letter K and lose the game of hangman, then launch a full investigation on how the game was rigged.

Finding the strawberries is really not the issue. As I have noted previously, this is all a sham designed to be something democrats can harangue Trump with right through the next election.

And that is the whole point of it.

Truth there.
All Schiff (and many Dems) want is a nasty-sounding talking point against Trump all the way thru the 2020 election.
How did they miss the fact that their constant yelling “Wolf!” has led to the mass majority of Americans discount ing everything they say, true, or not.
If something real were to arise against Trump it wouldn’t be taken seriously because of all the chaff that Schiff (et al) strew about.

I don’t think Quee… er, Schiff is going to experience that moment of clarity where he hears himself and realizes how idiotic he sounds. He won’t because none of his believers require him to.

Perhaps he should recuse himself. Oh, I forgot… no matter how tainted the association with an investigation or the investigated, Democrats NEVER recuse. After all, the BIAS is the whole point.

@Deplorable Me: We need to investigate if buggy eyes is an indication of insanity is there a link? How about buck or horse teeth, high five to thin air, is there a 25th amendment that deals with severe TDS ?
I dont care what was reported, Ruth is still missing, the NYT printed an old photo, I still need better proof of life and or conscience.
Quee*
I choose the letter…..

@kitt: I think his eyes bug out because his head is so full of stupid.

It’s looking like the American people are starting to catch on and are beginning to have had enough of this schiff. Speaking of Schiff, his creepy Stalinist ass needs to be investigated too as he is just as complicit in the coup as Obama’s minions are.

If the House keeps looking, something more than a duplicate cabinet key may turn up.

February 19, 2019 — Trump Officials Tried To Rush Nuclear Technology To Saudis, House Panel Finds

Selling nuclear technology to the Wahhabists could be far less imaginary than the claim that Clinton sold 20 percent of our uranium to Russia, and far more dangerous.

@Greg: Boy, those guys are DESPERATE, aren’t they? Gen. Flynn was part of the administration for 1 month and Barrack was on the inaugural committee? Not much influence there, even if it was true and where Cummings is involved, it’s probably not.

If true, I wonder if the got more than $150 million for their help? That’s the going rate.

@Deplorable Me, #8:

The scheme doesn’t appear to have ended with the departure of General Flynn. It appears to be ongoing:

Whistleblowers Raise Grave Concerns with Trump Administration’s Efforts to Transfer Sensitive Nuclear Technology to Saudi Arabia

Refer to pages 19 through 23.

@Greg: Wow to a country that doesnt chant death to America? To one not testing ICBMs imagine that!
I suppose its better for the planet if we keep the 3rd world under fossil fuels. Not meet the growing demand for electricity in the region, or let another world power assist them in the effort like Russia their power plant was so well built.
The original Marshall plan.
United States were to rebuild war-torn regions, remove trade barriers, modernize industry, improve prosperity, and prevent the spread of Communism.
No wonder the previous admin was against this, proof is what they did in Libya, once one of the most prosperous nations in northern Africa, highest literacy and had given up its nuclear weapons development.

@kitt, #10:

To the country that’s the source point of Wahhabism.

@Greg: What is Iran? They seem to be the ones making IEDs as surprise gifts for our troops. That didn’t slow Barrys deal with them a jot.
I thought the progressives were all about cutting CO2 emissions across he planet, the article is puking click bait it isnt transfer of weapons technology.
If this was a Barry idea you would be all for it.

@Greg: Did you even read the article?

Flynn, fired for lying, was an advisor for a company that drove for a tech deal in Saudi Arabia, during Obama’s administration. After he transitioned over to Trump’s White House, the deal is now “discovered” and idiots like you think it’s Trump or his Admin that did it. Vast corruption during the Obama years, from the DNC to the FBI. We know the truth now.

Nice one, Greg.

This is why the Dems lost the Prez. election, did poorly in the interim’s, and don’t stand a chance in 2020.

Lies, corruption, and continual efforts for a bloodless coup.

Pathetic…and really sad *Trump impersonation, on*

@Nathan Blue: Like I said… DESPERATE. Pitifully desperate.

@Deplorable Me: Look, I think it’s everyone’s responsibility to hold the WH responsible, now matter who it is in the oval office, or whether you voted for them or not.

BUT, I just can’t explain to people like Greg how bad the Dems let things get during the Obama years, regarding this attitude that Democratic Party now ran the country, and didn’t have to ever win another election. Inside jobs, lobbies, The biggest healthcare donors to Obama getting the contractor deals once ACA was law…it was so, so bad.

There are American’s who don’t vote based on what talk shows tell them, and those voters are in the vast majority…

February 19, 2019 — Trump’s administration reportedly looked for ways to help Saudi Arabia build a nuclear weapon

New evidence suggests Saudi Arabia is building ballistic missiles, which it would also need for nuclear weapons, and the US hasn’t responded to it.

As mentioned previously, there are indications that this didn’t cease when Flynn left the Trump administration, and may be ongoing. So you might as well forget about trying to pin it on Obama.

@Greg: OK Captain Reportedly, who would they bomb? Your link isnt working, who reported this, who was the source, when was it reported, why would they want another nuclear nation? How was this to happen anywhere but in the pea brain of media hacks?
The entire thing is speculation that a power plant for electricity would’nt have strings attached preventing the enriching of fuel. What ifs, well IF then, is the entire premise.

@kitt, #12:

What is Iran?

Shia, not Sunni. Wahhibism is the most extreme form of Sunni Islam.

@kitt, #17:

Sorry. The link should work now.

@Greg: I looked it up myself seems another AP circle jerk in action. Every lame media outlet jumping from nuclear energy to nuclear holocaust. huge assumptions then tie in a murdered nephew of a very rich man that happened to be a contributor for a tabloid like rag WAPO. Owned by a very rich guy with CIA connections.

@Greg: That is a result of what your stupid little boy Obama did with Iran. Like it?

@kitt:

who was the source, when was it reported

Just “sources”. You know the drill. Remember, this is a Cummings “I’ll be asking THESE questions” show.

@Deplorable Me: Oh the media is on this like Russian collusion every hack conspiracy theorist is either repeating word for plagiarized word or trying to out do the next wild hair theory, then that is repeated.
Script for the day to distract from a certain confession that blows their 3 year narrative right out of the puddle.
While they try to spin the McCabe admission into something that logically will make zero sense then feed it to their peeps.
There is no big “there”, there but we continue because the subject doesn’t like it and is saying bad things about it.

@kitt: Someday, Mueller will have to light the fuse on that gigantic 2 year, $30 million dud he’s been constructing. Democrats are going to need SOMETHING to distract from that letdown and they are lining up several prospects.

@Deplorable Me:

That is a result of what your stupid little boy Obama did with Iran.

Are you talking about the Iran that: actively supports terrorism; routinely threatens this country with war, and that was directly and indirectly responsible for the killing, maiming, and wounding of hundreds of my fellow OIF Vets? That Iran? Sounds a little like giving aid and comfort to a sworn enemy of the United States. Don’t forget the arms that went to ISIS after his Libya fiasco either. You know, the “JV” terrorist team that swore death to this country.

@another vet: I dont know there must be 2 Irans, sorta like North and south Iran cause it sure sounds like handing over billions to a country that is such a threat would be like treason or sumthin’ so just cant be that Iran

@Deplorable Me: Get ready Saudi Saudi Saudi is gearing up, no proof or evidence required, a few ideas tossed around no actions taken ect.

@kitt: The left is consistent when it involves anti-Americanism aren’t they? They admire any person, country, or organization that is/was anti-American- Lenin, Che, Chavez, Castro, Saddam Hussein, Bowe Bergdahl, Putin (when he was challenging GWB which makes it laughable when they criticize PT as a “Putin asset”), Iran, Venezuela, Cuba, the USSR back in the day, the Taliban (aka “freedom fighters”) , the insurgents in Iraq (more “freedom fighters”), and the list goes on. Remember, they voted to give Iran more money than they wanted to spend on securing our southern border.

@another vet: Voted? I believe that was a unilateral decision by the then President. Who totally ignored all sanctions in place since 1979, no treaty was signed. Yes he had the authority to negotiate I just dont remember the whole vote thing nor the resounding ok lets do this thing give them money we were holding plus many years of interest despite the market losses. How do we know it wasnt invested in GM bonds? or Solendra or GE or any other bankrupt entity.
You know Presidents can just pull billions hundreds of billions out of thin air and do with it what ever they want to.

@kitt:

Voted? I believe that was a unilateral decision by the then President.

FOX News, 02/19/2019 — McCabe says ‘it’s possible’ Trump’s a Russian asset

Dang. That should probably be looked into…

@Greg: Oh man stop you are just to funny guy. Its possible the premier law enforcement dept on the planet couldnt find any evidence at all none zip, planted spies in his campaign, proctologists couldnt have gone further up Trumps ass. They were even looking into his early childhood seeing if he had a set of those matryoshka , russian nesting dolls. Why does Andy say they kept up with an investigation with out paragraph 1? (that would be the reason why) Trump was critical, so we went further up his ass, that was the reason, Trump called the bogus investigation, bogus.
@another vet: Never a treaty they just had a few Rinos that wouldnt block the deal which Barry would have vetoed anyway, remember Mitchie never pressed an important issue in his career.
The President… shall have Power, by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, to make Treaties, provided two thirds of the Senators present concur…. The Treaty Clause has a number of striking features. It gives the Senate, in James Madison’s terms, a “partial agency” in the President’s foreign-relations power.
We never had a Paris treaty either.
https://www.breitbart.com/live/second-presidential-debate-fact
Mitch, Paulie were both gutless wonders that never moved to stop any of Barrys lawlessness, where as Trump cant burp without someone calling it a constitutional crises.

@Greg: I just don’t see “Russian asset” in Trump. Now, if he unilaterally pulled our missile defense system out of eastern Europe without getting any concessions from Russia… THAT would look like a Russian asset. Or hand them a controlling interest in Syria. Or PROMISE to do MORE to make them happy when you think no one can hear or will know. THAT looks just like a Russian lackey.

Sending guns to Mexican cartels makes one look like a cartel asset, too. Helping a country determined to develop nuclear weapons for the declared purpose of wiping another country off the map…. they would look like a Islamic terrorist asset.

One thing is for certain; that person wouldn’t look like an AMERICAN asset.

Due to Bernie’s long adoration for the Soviet Union, should a counterintelligence investigation, including surveillance of him, his associates and his campaign, be initiated? HE sure looks like a Russian asset.

@Deplorable Me, #31:

Oh man stop you are just to funny guy. Its possible the premier law enforcement dept on the planet couldnt find any evidence at all none zip…

How can anyone be so certain there’s no evidence when we haven’t yet reached the point in the investigation where the evidence and/or conclusions are presented?

As of last December, there were 17 known open cases and investigations involving Trump and his associates.

One thing is for certain; that person wouldn’t look like an AMERICAN asset.

There’s plenty about Trump suggesting he might be something other than an American asset.

Due to Bernie’s long adoration for the Soviet Union…

Yep. Keep your attention on Bernie and Liz. No point worrying about Joe Biden, or Amy Klobuchar, or Betto O’Rourke, or Cory Booker, or…

@Greg:

They had been conducting illegal surveillance since Trump announced his candidacy.

As of last December, there were 17 known open cases and investigations involving Trump and his associates.

All that indicates is the desperation of the left.

There’s plenty about Trump suggesting he might be something other than an American asset.

Like what?

@Greg:

Yep. Keep your attention on Bernie and Liz. No point worrying about Joe Biden, or Amy Klobuchar, or Betto O’Rourke, or Cory Booker, or…

So Bernie COULD be a Russian asset. He certainly acts like one. The others will destroy themselves.

@Greg #32:

It is POSSIBLE that Trump isn’t the Russian asset he appears to be.
It is POSSIBLE that Trump is simply so underqualified in his current position – having risen to his personal level of incompetency – that he just APPEARS to be a Russian lackey.
Supporting that premise would be his near-constant replacement in his administration of qualified career professionals with television personalities. That suggests idiocy.

The issue still stinks of blackmail. Putin has something Trump is sorely afraid of. Trump will never back Putin down like JFK did over the Cuban Missile Crisis – he hasn’t the moxie nor the wisdom. He’s just scared, and he keeps creating new distractions to throw the hounds off his scent.

@George Wells:

There is absolutely nothing in the way of evidence or actions of Trump to justify such a statement. Trump is thwarting Putin’s agenda at every turn while at the same time leaving him an open avenue to join the community of nations and stop his aggression and oppression. The only reason anyone would believe such farcical statement as that is because they want to.

@George Wells, #34:

Yep. Trump is so abysmally clueless and susceptible to manipulation that Putin could be playing him like a fiddle. He might have been oblivious to the implications of campaign irregularities, thinking what his associates were doing was all business as usual. His Twitter posts make me wonder if he’s some sort of idiot savant.

@Greg: What, before Cohen testifies to Congress? Before that vicious, hardened criminal Stone is brought to justice? How can that be?

The House could subpoena witnesses, documents, and evidence directly related to Mueller’s investigation that might otherwise never see the light of day. They could be in a position to do what Mueller couldn’t. Stone’s indictment doesn’t evaporate. It will proceed after Mueller has finished his task.

@George Wells:

Trump will never back Putin down like JFK did over the Cuban Missile Crisis

When Putin was that 10 year old Russian school boy? I wonder if his school mates practiced Duck and cover while his homework was sending Castro nuclear weaponry.
You crack me up George.
