Colin Kaepernick is the modern day Jackie Robinson, says ABC’s NIghtline:
According to ABC’s Nightline, Colin Kaepernick is the modern day Jackie Robinson. The man who started the kneeling trend in the NFL is the same as the man who broke baseball’s color barrier. As video of Robinson played, Nightline anchor Dan Harris on Monday night hyped, “This current NFL kneeler movement may have kicked off with Colin Kaepernick, but when it comes to athletes using their platforms for change, he did not start the fire.”
Reporter Chris Connelly linked, “70 years ago, this was the face of change and of social activism in sports when Jackie Robinson broke baseball’s color line in 1947 with the Brooklyn Dodgers.”
CBS This Morning called Kaepernick a “bridge builder.”
Kaepernick refuses to stand for the national anthem because
“I am not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses black people and people of color,” Kaepernick told NFL Media in an exclusive interview after the game. “To me, this is bigger than football and it would be selfish on my part to look the other way. There are bodies in the street and people getting paid leave and getting away with murder.”
The poor, oppressed Kaepernick made at least $39 million playing football. That’s not exactly slave wages. I wish I were that oppressed.
Then the tool wore a Fidel Castro tee shirt to the press conference. George Diaz:
Our good friends at Wikipedia tells us that “human rights in Cuba are under the scrutiny of Human Rights Watch, who accuse the Cuban government of systematic human rights abuses, including arbitrary imprisonment, unfair trials, and extrajudicial execution.”
So maybe Kaepernick may want to reconsider wearing a Fidel Castro tee shirt to a press conference explaining why he refused to stand for the National Anthem before a game, protest injustice in this country.
“I’m going to continue to stand with the people that are being oppressed,” he said. “To me, this is something that has to change. When there’s significant change and I feel like that flag represents what it’s supposed to represent, this country is representing people the way that it’s supposed to, I’ll stand.”
I’d type in a bunch of Cuban curse words if I could.
Diaz adds:
So yes, I find it personally insulting that Kaepernick is oblivious to the fact that Castro is one of the most vile dictators of modern times with extensive human rights violations.
Well-played. Your ignorance and stupidity goes well with your sense of comedic timing. We are done here.
Then Kaepernick, who laments rogue cops, wore socks that depict cops as pigs:
Despite that, Kaepernick is not being ostracized for his politics. He’s just not that good. Kaepernick’s current paramour is said to be influencing him heavily.
The bad news for Kaepernick and colleagues is that 64% of America says NFL players should stand for the anthem and the the flag and NFL ticket sales are down nearly 18%.
As ye sow, you know. Grandpa always said “Don’t sh*t where you eat.”
We’ll see how long owners stand by their protesters once their lunch is being eaten. Don’t tell me words don’t matter.

DrJohn has been a health care professional for more than 40 years. In addition to clinical practice he has done extensive research and has published widely with over 70 original articles and abstracts in the peer-reviewed literature. DrJohn is well known in his field and has lectured on every continent except for Antarctica. He has been married to the same wonderful lady for over 45 years and has three kids- two sons, both of whom are attorneys and one daughter who is in the field of education.
DrJohn was brought up with the concept that one can do well if one is prepared to work hard but nothing in life is guaranteed.
Except for liberals being foolish.
he isn’t a bridge builder and no modern day Jackie Robinson. he is a spoiled arrogant snowflake with an asshole personality. but then again, all snowflakes have some degree of mental instability. I am surprised that some idiot director in hollywood has not offer him the lead role in a picture about his bridge builder, heroic efforts. recall, his maternal mother is white, he was adopted at six weeks and raised in a middle class white family.
Bridge builder; building a bridge to socialism. The left is dedicated to divisiveness and when there is no real issue, the radical left simply invents one.
The greatest proof of this is that Kaepernick does not even know what he was protesting and, likewise, the rest of his spoiled lemming followers have no idea what THEY are protesting is the ambiguous and open ended excuses for protesting. Black oppression? In what form? How is it expressed? Where does it materialize?
The very fact that this all originates from Ferguson, Michael Brown, Black Lives Matter and “Hands Up, Don’t Shoot” is the telling fact. Though the victim culture has moved on to other contrived wrongs and excuses, the riots, destruction, deaths and threats are still all based on a massive lie. The left has never rectified that wrong and openly confessed that “Hands Up, Don’t Shoot” was a lie and they KNEW it was a lie. They knew it was a lie and they exploited the lie to create more divisiveness, violence and destruction.
This is the “oppression” and these fools, useful idiots, would do well to examine it thoroughly. They can’t expect the media to educate them; they are part of the conspiracy.
So, the bottom line is that these useful idiots, tools of the divisive left, contributors to the love of socialism, are disrespecting the flag, National Anthem, the military and the veterans in the name of a lie, something contrived for the one and only purpose to divide and conquer. Embarrassed by the backlash against the disrespect, the left wants to promote the new lie that it is all a protest against the President’s correct assessment of their tantrum, but it is still a disrespect to the country. They want to protest Trump? Vote for the next gimmick the Democrats run against him, in lieu of a competent leader. They disrespect the country because they have been indoctrinated to HATE the country.
This protest a flash in the pan, even if some players were exposed to be real a$$hole$.
Thursday night football All Playerson both sides stood, the fans did not link arms as requested by Rogers, the camera panned desperately looking for anyone doing so, they caught Captain America, well the 40ish version of him the crowd also sounded like a Trump Rally Chanting USA before the SSB
All the players stood both teams they linked arms some had hand on heart.
The request to join in unity to the protest was met with overwhelming negativity according to the Press Gazette. But not see the oldest rivalry in the NFL? At Lambeau Feild? seems very few burned those tickets.
I guess the kneeling thing is falling apart, they will stand and suffer quietly.
He dont builds bridges he tears them down instead like with most of the liberal anti-american jerks of today and frankly he needs to leave the sooner the better
There are those who can speak to real modern day oppression. The oppression of being poor, of being a person of color. Kaepernick is not one of them. But he is a “glass half empty” kinda guy.
Read the bios of other notable black Americans; Thomas Sowell, Walter Williams, Clarence Thomas, Starr Parker, Condi Rice. All will tell you that merit, not race, got them where they are. Some grew up in middle class families, some were dirt poor. How ever they were raised, they grew above any discrimination they experienced as children or young adults.
If a white child grows up in a drug/crime riddled neighborhood with poor schools, does Kaepernick really think that child has a better chance at success than he did growing up in a middle class white family? If Kaepernick truly wants to see “change”, he will work to get children of color out of the drug/crime ridden neighborhoods with failing school systems, like South LA. He will take to the street corner and convince black women not to kill their unborn children in such extreme numbers. He will encourage black men to stay with the women they impregnate and to raise their children, as his [adopted] father raised him. He will create health clinics, job training centers and activity centers for at risk kids in those neighborhoods. $23 million, even after taxes, would go a long way to save those children from the future that is almost guaranteed to them.
Instead, he will lay back, whine, watch as the NAACP/BLM demands he be hired by a NFL team, and take his day in the limelight. And five years from now people will say “Colin who?”
@retire05: Of course, they don’t protest the oppression of liberal social and economic policies that have relegated so many minorities to perpetual poverty. Out of poverty comes crime and out of crime comes victims.
But, let’s protest Trump and impeach him before the 3.1% economic growth (Obama had years when all 4 quarters barely added up to 3.1%) catches on and causes dedicated liberals to have some of the scales fall from their eyes.
@Deplorable Me:
Noted economist, Walter Williams, writes frequently about the plight of the black community. He blames it not on the concept that modern day blacks are the descendants of slaves who were freed 150 years ago, but on the fact that the black family structure was altered by the federal government with the advent of the modern welfare system. No longer are black fathers needed (or in some cases, white fathers, Hispanic fathers, Native American fathers) for monetary and emotional support of their children. Uncle Sam has come to the rescue. Uncle Sam will provide the monetary support and the emotional support? Oh, well, you can’t have everything, you know.
The really ironic thing is that discrimination against blacks is no longer predominantly by whites. It’s that 800 lb. gorilla in the room that no one wants to talk about. Discrimination against blacks is a heavily Hispanic thing. The two races (if you can call Hispanic a “race”) are vying for top dog in the discrimination industry. Hispanic population has now exceeded the black population and blacks will soon learn that they have been put on the back burner by the modern-day DNC as the modern-day DNC will court the group that can provide the most votes. And yes, Hispanics primarily vote Democrat, but it is because they are grabbing for the brass ring that has always been controlled by black Americans.
Reality will eventually set in when black Americans finally wake up to the fact that they are no longer their sugar daddy’s favorite child. Then what?
What Kaeperick does with his money: tutors for kids in failing inner-city schools? Nope. Health care clinics in low income housing? Nope. Drug education to teens? Nope. This:
“Colin Kaepernick started out taking a knee during the national anthem to protest police brutality, but his activism has since expanded to encompass a wide range of leftist causes, including a group named after a convicted cop-killer.
The Colin Kaepernick Foundation donated in April $25,000 to Assata’s Daughters, a Chicago “direct action” resistance organization honoring Assata Shakur, who escaped prison and fled to Cuba after being found guilty in the 1973 murder of Officer Werner Foerster.
The grant includes $2,500 for CopWatch, a program that trains volunteers to follow and video police, and $15,000 for teen training, part of the group’s commitment to “develop and train young people, ages 4-19, in the Black queer feminist tradition and in the spirit of Assata.”

Kaepernick supports the foundation of a cop killing commie.
@retire05: Obama supported cop killers, why shouldn’t Kaepernick? Anyone that supports them supports cop killers as well.
@Deplorable Me:
does the word rape ever appear in his history..it should. he was a very naughty boy in college
RW, so this is the week the NFL is gonna let Kappy go back to work.. You claim you said he would be back on someone’s payroll by week 5. Well, this are it. Week 5. My prediction, he’s no closer this week than any other.
So despicable to be wearing a shirt representing one of the world’s most oppressive tyrant who has ever lived.
There are NO Excuses for this!
And you say you are fighting against oppression!!! BS
Go live in Cuba so you can experience what Marxist/Communist Utopia is really like!
@Viva Cuba Libre!: Well, there is one excuse. While Kaep enjoys the riches of capitalism, he likes to play the revolutionary that hates the system. He plays a damned game for a living (well… did) and now he gets paid for being a failure.
