Sheriff Joe Arpaio is getting more law enforcement officials saying that they didn’t know about the problem with the birth certificate and other stuff, and they are now questioning the birth certificate, and want Joe to appear before congress.
When Joe gave his report on the findings of his Cold Case investigation unit, no reporters from the major news media showed up. Not even Fox News. I lost a lot of trust when Fox News didn’t show.

That does not infer that where a candidate was born is not of consequence, given the Constitutional stipulations on that requirement. However, 4 1/2 years after the election, the time has passed to focus on this, particular in view of the fact that there is nothing which this President can possibly do, which will lead to his removal from office. Nothing.
This Administration very cleverly ignores ALL questions examining anything it does. It stonewalls more effectively than any Administration in recent history. And it gets away with it. The scrutiny over his place of birth will probably gain traction after he leaves office because the question has not been answered, but not before. Until then, there is much distribution of hate, mismanagement, and stomping of the Constitution, coming from this W.H. which all Democrats seem to support vociferously – that abuse should be brought to as much light as possible leading to 2014.

Fortunately, Sheriff Joe Arpaio doesn’t feel the same way. The results of his Cold Case Posse investigation into obama is gaining more traction. He intends to take it to congress.
For those who are open minded about obama’s birth certificate, but aren’t sure if it is real or fake, just look at it and ask yourself if it was written with a typewriter or a word processor.
If he is declared an illegal, then everything he has signed into law, and every executive order will be voided, and he will be moved from the white house to the Big House where he belongs. If he winds up in Gitmo, I’m sure he will get a rousing welcome from fellow inmates.

I have a 4th explanation, smug arrogance coupled with overconfidence. I think that the Establishment Republicans were so over confident with the economy and unemployment situation, that they assumedt it would be an easy win.
However, all the Republican debates had the effect of over polarizing the party factions, and the power grab at the RNC where the Establishment leaders ‘took charge of the situation’ didn’t help matters. Then after Romney won the Republican nomination, his campaign did nothing to try to bring the party back together. Instead they kept with the same-old-same-old. Romney also stupidly let Obama off the hook in the latter debates, and (like McCain) decided that he had to play a “nice guy” to get the voters to like him. They assumed that the dissed the Conservative, Libertarian and TEA Party voters would hold their nose and vote. Without the support of the conservative and libertarian voters (many of which stayed home,) it threw off the establishment “number-crunchers” like Rove, which is why they never saw it coming.

@Richard Wheeler: Fair enough. Please excuse my ire as well–I’ve my own “hot buttons”, and my rant was more of a general plea to jettison the usual walling off of criticisms for the Admin by making them memetic jokes on The Daily Show.
As for the birther thing, I think BHO was born in Hawaii. But I can’t prove it. I’m not sure why the released cert on the .gov website was a layered miss-mash of corrections and enhancements. Was that to keep the birthers going, so they’d continue to be an easy target whenever you need to demonize the Reps for something (or re-direct away from a true scandal)? That’s a paranoid, on my part, but this admin is the most labyrinthine in thought and response as any I’ve seen. That’s concerning, if only because it’s exhausting the average citizen’s ability to know up from down, right from wrong. Everything it framed in whatever way it needs to be. Bush was accused for this, as are all Presidents, but I really feel the current admin has taken misinformation to a new level.

RW, how and when did I become a ‘birther’. I’ve never made any claims about where Obama was born. By definition, those that claim to be birthers claim he was not born in the US. I have never made that claim. To do so would imply that I have knowledge of where he was born. I don’t. I don’t even think Obama knows when or where he was born, or who his mother and father really are. He certainly can’t know any of that from the ‘birth certificate’ released on the .gov site. The only possible thing he can know from that document is that it is a fraud. Only natural born citizens of the US are eligible to be president. Rubio clearly is not one. I will not vote for anyone for president that is not eligible for that office. Until we know more on Obama we don’t know if he is a natural born citizen or not. He should have to prove it to be eligible, but that proof (or disproof) is not now available.
@Redteam:Read slowly. I indicated you were a self proclaimed “constitutionalist”, invoking the natural born citizen clause to assert the ineligibility of BHO and Rubio. Here at F.A. that take garners no more support than birther claims.
