Menendez: The noose tightens

unapologeticxxThe Daily Caller has been doing the job the Obama State Media just won’t do- journalism- and they are on fire in the Menendez investigation.

Emails show FBI investigating Sen. Bob Menendez for sleeping with underage Dominican prostitutes

Documents published online for the first time Thursday indicate that the FBI opened an inquiry into New Jersey Democratic Sen. Bob Menendez on August 1, 2012, focusing on repeated trips he took to the Dominican Republic with longtime campaign contributor and Miami eye doctor Salomon Melgen. TheDC reported in November that Menendez purchased the service of prostitutes in that Caribbean nation at a series of alcohol-fueled sex parties.

The documents, which The Daily Caller had obtained hours earlier from an anonymous source, also indicate that Carrie Levine, research director at Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW), was alerted on April 9, 2012 to Menendez’s habit of paying for sex while outside the United States. ABC News senior investigative producer Rhonda Schwartz was aware as early as May 2, 2012, the documents show, when Levine wrote a source in the Dominican Republic to say that she had “shared your allegations, but not your identities, with a respected, trusted journalist with whom we have worked on other stories.”

Dominican prostitute: Sen. Bob Menendez ‘likes the youngest and newest girls’

In a little-noticed email published online Wednesday by Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW), a young Dominican woman wrote nine months ago that she slept with 59-year-old New Jersey Democratic Sen. Bob Menendez at a series of sex parties organized by Dr. Salomon Melgen, a longtime Menendez campaign donor.

“That senator also likes the youngest and newest girls,” the woman wrote on April 21, 2012, according to an English translation provided to The Daily Caller by a native Spanish speaker.

“In the beginning he seemed so serious, because he never spoke to anyone, but he is just like the others and has just about the same tastes as the doctor, very refined. I think they were taking us more often to get us checked [medically] because of him.”

But it’s OK because Menendez cares about prostitution- in Cuba

Menendez’s alleged Dominican prostitution spree coincided with crusade against prostitution in Cuba

Despite allegations that Democratic New Jersey Sen. Bob Menendez had sex with underage prostitutes in the Dominican Republic on several occasions in recent years, he has been a persistent critic of the Cuban regime for economic conditions that have led to widespread prostitution among young people.

“The average Cuban worker lives on an income of less than $1 a day,” Menendez said during a March 2, 2009 Senate floor speech, arguing that the communist Cuban dictatorship’s policies caused nationwide poverty.

“This poverty has an enormous cost,” the son of Cuban emigres to the U.S. explained. “The widespread desperation of families has forced far too many young girls and boys into becoming sex workers, even though defenders of the Revolution constantly cite the elimination of prostitution as one of its supposed accomplishments.”

We learn that Menendez is following a young looking Domincan girl on Twitter:

Remember when Anthony Weiner got busted for sending a picture of his penis to a woman who was not his wife? He sure does. And remember how he claimed his Twitter account was hacked or pranked or spammed or whatever?

One of the clues that Weiner wasn’t telling the truth was that he was following a lot of young girls on Twitter. It wasn’t about the ones who were following him — which he had no control over — but the ones he was following.

Well, here’s a weird thing. If you go to the verified Twitter account for Bob Menendez, @SenatorMenendez, and look at who he’s following, you see a lot of Twitter accounts that would make sense for a senator to follow: Dept. of Agriculture, HUD, the Mercer County NJ Democrats, etc.

But one of these things is not like the others:

@Unapologeticxx? Who’s that?

In November The Daily Caller reported that Menendez may have violated Senate ethics rules with his Dominican sex trip:

The executive director of National Republican Senatorial Committee said Thursday that New Jersey Democratic Sen. Bob Menendez “may have violated Senate ethics rules and federal campaign finance laws” with his alleged sex trip to the Dominican Republic.

The Daily Caller first reported early on Thursday that two women from the Dominican Republic are alleging Menendez paid them for sex around Easter time this year at Casa de Campo, an expensive 7,000-acre resort in the Dominican Republic.

And not only did Menendez fail to report the trips, he allegedly stiffed the hookers as well:

The two women claimed Menendez agreed to pay them $500 for sex acts, and that they each received only $100.

After being exposed by the Daily Caller, Menendez scrambled to pay the debt.

Embattled Democratic New Jersey Sen. Bob Menendez said through a spokesman Wednesday that trips he took on the private jet of a major political donor “have been paid for and reported appropriately.”

But that may not have been accurate until shortly before the statement went out to media: WNBC-TV4 in New York City reported Wednesday that Menendez recently wrote a $58,500 check to the jet’s owner, Florida eye doctor Salomon Melgen.

“Senator Menendez has traveled on Dr. Melgen’s plane on three occasions, all of which have been paid for and reported appropriately,” the statement said.

There’s no word on whether Menendez made good with the hookers.

It also turns out that Menendez’s pal Dr. Salomon Melgen owes the IRS $11 million.

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — The FBI continues to raid the office of a West Palm Beach doctor Wednesday who has ties to several politicians.

Federal officials began raiding Vitreo-Retinal Consultants Eye Center in West Palm Beach where Dr. Salomon Melgen’s office is located Tuesday night.

According to the Miami Herald, Dr. Melgen owes the IRS millions of dollars — despite the fact that he donated hundreds of thousands of dollars to several politicians.

FBI agents are searching through the office and taking away potential evidence. The Miami Herald reports Dr. Melgen has an outstanding lien of more than $11 million to the IRS.

So how bad is it for Menendez? It’s so bad that the Washington Post has resorted to journalism- of a sort. They report that Menendez was pushing for his pal Melgen to gain a contract to provide port security for the Dominican Republic.

When a wealthy Florida businessman needed some help with a port security contract in the Dominican Republic, his longtime association with Sen. Robert Menendez (D-N.J.) proved useful.

Eye doctor Salomon Melgen had been one of Menendez’s most loyal campaign donors and a generous friend who hosted the senator at a gated seaside manse in the Caribbean.

Last year, as Melgen donated $700,000 to support the senator’s reelection campaign and other Democrats, Menendez sought to turn up the pressure on the Dominican Republic to carry out the multimillion-dollar contract. Melgen had acquired an ownership stake in a company that had previously contracted with the Dominican Republic to provide port security.

In July, Menendez led a Senate hearing on the challenges of doing business in Latin America and urged officials from the Commerce and State departments to apply pressure to countries that didn’t honor agreements with U.S. businesses. Without naming Melgen, Menendez highlighted the contract to provide security in the Dominican port.

Melgen is an ophthalmologist. He knows port security like a fish knows a bicycle, so the real question is why does he want it?

While Melgen fails to pay what he owes to the IRS, he has lots of money to host and donate to democrats:

Melgen and Menendez have been powerful players in their respective spheres. Melgen, the owner of a Florida eye clinic, splits his time between Palm Beach and his Casa de Campo estate in the Dominican Republic, where he has hosted such Democratic luminaries as former president Bill Clinton. Melgen and his companies have donated over $1 million to Democrats since 2006, according to campaign finance records.

But check this out:

This month, after a conservative Web site aired allegations that Menendez had accepted free trips from Melgen to Casa de Campo, the senator reimbursed Melgen $58,500 with a personal check. The money covered the costs of two round-trip flights Menendez made on Melgen’s private plane from New Jersey to the Dominican Republic in 2010, the senator’s office said. Menendez had not previously reported the paid trips as gifts or reimbursed Melgen, as required by Senate rules. Menendez’s staff blamed the error on sloppy paperwork.

That “conservative Web site” was the Daily Caller but for some reason Leonnig and Markon of the Washington Post could not muster the conscience for a decent attribution. The DC has done all the footwork for WaPo and now WaPo jumps in when it’s unavoidable. It’s disgraceful.

Menendez should have vacated his seat already.

Harry Reid distanced himself from Menendez:

“I’ve answered the question, I’m not going to say anymore,” Reid said.

Menendez needs to distance himself from the Senate. Then again, he is a democrat.

no different than bill, joe biden, john kerry, and the kennedy brothers..opie is gay.

Democrats cannot get into any trouble over their personal behavior.
Standards, like right and wrong, are reserved for Republicans.
And Republicans must keep to as high a standard as Jesus Christ, a PERFECT man did or they simply MUST go.

Wow. This is almost as twisted and base as the Deepwater + BP + Rezko + NALCO + Soros + Petrobas “accident”, which nobody in the Journ-o-list and not even the Dread News Pirate FOX would touch.

(Took me a while to find a google search that didn’t return 100 comments that some guy Taqiyyotomist made on the matter over the time since…. I’ve mentioned that string of names more than anyone. If the Night and Fog Decree ever gets here, I’m a goner.)

Just amazing. Almost nobody seems to have touched this treasonous, high-crimes-and-misdemeanors administration on ANYTHING. Not even with a ten-foot-pole. Not even in passing.

Did anyone die in the Menendez scandal? As far as we know? Were any whole regional U.S. industries SHUT DOWN in this scandal? Deepwater was no accident. (But that’s Crazy Talk! say the libs — the ones who believed that fire doesn’t melt steel, therefore Bush & Co. caused 9/11 and killed 3,000 people, which is somehow less crazy.)

No investigations, except BP investigating itself and the EPA investigating itself, and both somehow coming up clean. It’s almost disingenuous to say “this administration”, or that phrase needs to, at this point, include all 535 members of congress and 99% of broadcast media. Total fusion has happened. Nothing left to do now for these folks but make a party flag, some armbands, and get on with the inevitable genocide. It’s all one party. It’s Soviet America.

“If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?” — Psalm 11:3

NJ Dems thugs are as corrupt as they come. If one listed all the Dem mayors, state legs, city council people , NJ would rank either 1 or 2 as the most corrupt state aside from say, Louisiana. And Dems never never seem to pay the price. Their Moron Voters always seem to re-elect them but hang all the Pubs in the wind. It is just inane but Dems think that way. Apparently morality and Const. govt. is far from their minds and hearts. Bob will get away with it and if not, Chris will appoint some RINO.

this is so corrupt, they even hide it from the voters,
is in there anyone with guts to expose those corrupt scams ,
what do you call MENENDES NOW?
and he has the nerve to question the SOUTH AMERICA GOVERNMENT,
I hope if he dare to go back there they arrest him and the doctor
for perverting their youths

“I’ve answered the question, I’m not going to say anymore,” Reid said. Oh and it’s not like he was toe tapping in a bathroom stall.

Any Feminists out there interested in this??????
(que the crickets)

Didn’t think so.
