Racist Romney/Ryan supporter in Lancaster, Ohio?

LANCASTER, OH – OCTOBER 12: A supporter of Republican presidential candidate, former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney and Republican vice presidential candidate U.S. Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI) waits for a campaign event to begin on October 12, 2012 in Lancaster, Ohio. Ryan debated U.S. Vice President Joe Biden the evening before and Romney is scheduled to debate U.S. President Barack Obama for the second time on October 16. (Photo by Jamie Sabau/Getty Images)

This photo came to my attention on Facebook. It seems to be a legit Getty image photo and not a photoshop.

I found one possible contact information for the photographer, Jamie Sabau, and requested verification on the photo’s authenticity. Aside from the simple blurb caption, there doesn’t seem to be anything else on the person wearing this shirt.

If this person was wearing such a shirt, did anyone in his vicinity say anything to him? Were there no reporters flocking to interview him and give him the national spotlight? Did the photographer not think it worthwhile to get the guy’s name and interview him, himself?

It’s a disgusting t-shirt.

The only ones who seem to be giving this a heck of lot of buzz and attention are liberal sites, eager to believe the worst about Republicans and those who support Romney/Ryan and the GOP. They want validation on their beliefs that Republicans are the party of racists.

The only merchandise I could find while searching for a possible manufacturer seems to be an anti-Palin seller, using the line.

Daily Kos:

It seems, sometimes, like this country gave the black guy a chance to try to pull us out of the greatest, scariest financial crisis since the Great Depression. He did that. And now that we’re not so scared anymore, we’re ready to toss him aside for whatever safe, nonthreatening white guy who looks like all the other Presidents comes along.

Good grief…the comments being generated by this on liberal blogs are just asinine.

If anyone cares to do further research on the story behind the photo and discovers new information, pipe in.

I should have thought to include this last night when posting: An example of another photo that I saw one of my liberal FB friends “liking” from some FB page a few days ago:

A really simple Google search revealed that it was indeed a photoshop. The FB page, however, was posting it up as if real, duping a number of all-too-willing believers (who will undoubtedly spread the lie around).
