Michelle Hints That New Supreme Court Justices Are Political Stooges

First Lady Obama presumes that her husband’s Supreme Court Nominees will protect political rights not enumerated in the Constitution. She made this remarkable claim at Democrat fundraisers by stressing that Sotomayo and Kagan are indeed political appointees and can be counted on to protect the right to “Love whomever we choose” and “the right privacy”. This mysterious “Privacy” right is presumably a reference to Roe v. Wade decision in 1973, but these nebulous terms are often invoked to mean anything Democrat strategists want them to mean at a later date.

The Incompetent Obama – His Economic Policies Will Be Our Undoing

Illinois offers us a perfect example of what happens when you institute liberal policies, as Obama has done to the entire country:

After trying to tax Illinois to governmental solvency and economic dynamism, Pat Quinn, a Democrat who has been governor since 2009, now says “our rendezvous with reality has arrived.” Actually, Illinois is still reality-averse, so Americans may soon learn the importance of the freedom to fail in a system of competitive federalism.

Obama’s Plan: Raise Taxes, Spend More, and Pander Even More

Runaway spending is causing our doom, so why not spend a bit more. This time to pander to the youth in our country:

Obama told the students that since they were born, tuition and fees at colleges have doubled.

“And that forces students like you to take on a lot more loans, there are fewer grants, you rack up a lot more debt,” Obama stated.

“Can I get an Amen for that?” he asked the crowd who cheered, “AMEN!”

Beyond Mitt… the Conservative challenge to saving America [Reader Post]

To this day, despite having the most popular and profitable radio program in the United States, Limbaugh remains a polarizing figure. He is a convenient lightning rod for the left as they seek to mischaracterize the conservative message he promotes. And they have done a great job of disparaging conservatives. From a sexist Rush Limbaugh to the Tea Party racists to Paul Ryan seeking to throw Grandma off a cliff, the left in general and the media in particular have done a spectacular job of misrepresenting conservatives to those who are like I was twenty years ago, too busy or lazy to look at the facts.

Say What? April 23, 2012 Edition [Reader Post]

FoxNews’s Greta Van Susteren on Barbara Boxer saying that GSA corruption goes back decades: “I’ll tell what disturbed me…[is] Senator Boxer said that the GSA has a history of misconduct dating back decades, under Republican and Democratic administrations. When I heard her say that, I said, If there’s a, quote, “history,” if it goes back decades, what in the world were you all thinking as this was going on? History and decades? I mean, all these senators have been up there a long time…[and] they’ve known about this, apparently.”

Sunday Funnies

“There’s certainly nothing fun about paying taxes, but you have to remember… all the money goes to a good cause, like paying the salaries of the meter maids who give you our parking tickets, and keeping welfare checks going to the Octomom, and important things like that.” –Jimmy Kimmel

“President Obama released his tax returns. It turns out he made $900,000 less in 2011 then he did in 2010. You know what that means? Even Obama is doing worse under President Obama.” –Jay Leno
