Rep. Anthony Weiner (D-N.Y.) is reportedly “dug in,” refusing to resign despite the growing list of Democrats calling for his ouster. Perhaps Democratic leadership (the minority leader included) should have the nerve to kick him off his committees and publicly call for him to scram.
Meanwhile, Newt Gingrich’s senior staff and his Iowa crew have quit. En masse. Whether it was the general flakiness, the attack on Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) or the bizarre decision to go on a cruise just when the campaign was getting underway, his staff simply couldn’t take it.

While Newt has some good ideas, they are not unique to him. He has lost his edge. The only way I could vote for him is as a vote against a liberal opponent. I held my nose and voted for McCain because I knew him to be only slightly better than Obama.
Newt is a fantastic historian and missed his calling as a teacher, but while I at one time was a supporter, his RINO stances were just too much for me to take – and this was before his attack on Paul Ryan and his call for an individual mandate.

Something happened to Newt. He’s not like the old Newt we used to know. To his credit: He owned the American Solutions “Drill Here, Drill now” campaign, for which I have great respect. And, a real working knowledge of American history. But, I can’t figure out what’s happened, is happening, in these recent months. What is it that happens after these guys serve in CONgress: Do they put something in the water? Where’s his fire? We need consistency. What the hell happened in Iowa? Hence the reason for drafting West NOW; Before whatever the heck happened to Newt, happens to Allen! Give us Scott Walker, Let me hear Cain’s fire. I love Sarah, but the fifth column has done such a bang-up job on her, that only 4 years in the VP chair would the people be able to see through all that nasty schickelgrubing. While they usually do their research very well, Scopes.com has been wrong before, and being human are not incapable of making incorrect conclusions. I remain “agnostic” regarding whether or not Obama was born in America or elsewhere. At this time the argument is pointless, and we would be better served by concentrating on supporting a suitable opponent.
I have been a computer graphics artist for over a fifteen years using a wide variety of professional programs, and I agree completely that the long form birth certificate is not only a fraud, but that it is a poorly created and unconvincing one. Who ever created the artwork, they are clearly an amateur. I wholly doubt that it was created by an intelligence agency artist, because they have the capability of creating a professional quality forgeries. The OCR explanation for the layers is a bogus and frankly lame debunking attempt to explain away the existence of layers to the typical layman, (and to deter the consideration of serious examination of the artwork).
Hell, given the time, I or many other trained computer graphic artist/animators could have created a much more convincing birth certificate computer artwork that could pass as a legitimate scanned birth certificate. (Note: that forgery is a crime I would never consider committing, but having had to create realistic official looking documents for video presentations, I will admit that it would be completely possible using the proper artistic techniques and a multitude of professional computer art tools.)

This has been discussed many times here in FA, but I do not have easy access to the archives. Mata, Curt or one of the other moderators would have to give the links.
Again, my position is that it has never been definitively proven, one way or the other, whether Obama is an American born citizen. Since I have no idea which is true, I remain agnostic. But paint me as very suspicious. Red flags are raised by the fact that Obama has sealed most of his records, because of all the money and effort he has made to thwart investigation, and because of this obvious fraudulent birth certificate.
Holder is Obama’s man. He and his justice department will not not touch it. There appears to be a consensus not to pursue the matter. The media and both political parties refuse to recognize the possibility that the document is a fake, and ridicule any who try to bring it up. All federal enforcement agencies fall under the command and control of the Office of the President, and he has filled most of the leadership positions with his hand-picked cronies, so don’t expect cooperation there. There have been some who try to bring charges but there has been little success in pursuing this in the courts. Until a case makes it all the way to the Supreme Court’s juristriction, Hawaii does not have to open their files. Perhaps it is because no one want’s to admit to the public that they have been played the fool, and they fear the public reaction. The Democratic party leadership has admitted that no one ever vetted Obama over whether he was eligible, to run so they pretend it isn’t an issue. Republicans don’t want to bring up the issue apparently because they don’t want to be branded as “Racist Birthers.”
The only other option would be for the individual states to demand an investigation, but don’t hold your breath there, for if it were proven that Obama was not eligible, the states would be just as culpable for having allowed an ineligible candidate to be placed on the ballot.
If it were proven that Obama was never eligible to become President, the voters would lose all faith in the integrity of our election system .

@Nan G: Nan G… I like the way you do research, however I have been, lived and worked in most all of the Islamic countries of the Middle East…text book wise what you are saying is correct. However there is also the cause of the objective involved in a marriage. Especially in the case of the Shias (Shiites) who live outside of an Islamic nation with Shia law. If their declared objective is to further the expansion of Islam then there is so much more that is permissible. Also do you know what the word ” MUSLIM” means? It means someone who believes in God as one entity. Not as Christians do, like it is three in one, but singular!
I do not know if you travel much but Europe is filled with sanctioned Muslim marriages with European women who did not do much more than to declare that they believe Allah is the only true God and swore to never worship or pray to anyone but him. If they lived in a Muslim then the process is very different, and they even assign the bride to be to another woman. Text books do not always cover the realities of life. Nothing can take the place of being there and experiencing the life surrounding such matters. If every religion was run according the their text book we would not be in the mess we are in now!

At the risk of igniting a firestorm of theological arguments, I offer up the following: The trinity you refer to is Catholic dogma and is not present amongst all Christian religions. While many Christians refer to Jesus Christ as the “Son of God,” the original definition of the word “Christed” meant “God incarnate” aka, the Messiah, which infers that God himself has come down and inhabited a physical body. (Christ was NOT Jesus’ last name.) The “Son” is God, they are the same entity. Granted, many Christians see the two as two separate entities, however this is because their clergy failed to educate them to the distinction of what “Christ” means, and the original concept has been mostly forgotten amongst the flock. Many of the clergy understand the confusion and do not press the issue. Some clergy still do use the concept of Christed in their teachings; “They are one, Jesus is God” but again, do not explain the distinction.

Just an interesting note that is unseen and unknown by many but in our (Jewish) and the Muslim writings concerning the burial of Abraham both Isaac and Ishmael prepared Abraham’s body together and buried him, and that God was pleased with this unto the point he stopped the heavens for a moment when they both mourned the passing of their father Abraham. Some of us practice this relationship with compassion one for the other, to honor the name of God.
