Sarah Palin is launching a nationwide bus tour starting Sunday in Washington, a Palin source has confirmed to POLITICO.
The first stop will be at the annual Rolling Thunder motorcycle rally. Palin will then travel up the East Coast in a trip that will include her first stop in New Hampshire since running as the GOP’s vice presidential nominee in 2008.
Palin will also be stopping at other spots of symbolic national significance on the East Coast, including the Civil War battlefields at Gettysburg and Antietam, and the Liberty Bell in Philadelphia.

When it premieres in Iowa next month, the film is poised to serve as a galvanizing prelude to Palin's prospective presidential campaign — an unconventional reintroduction to the nation that she and her political team have spent months eagerly anticipating, even as Beltway Republicans have largely concluded that she won't run.
Bannon, a former naval officer and ex-Goldman Sachs banker, sees his documentary as the first step in Palin's effort to rebuild her image in the eyes of voters who may have soured on her, yet might reconsider if old caricatures begin to fade. The film will also appeal to staunch Palin supporters who have long celebrated her biting rhetoric and conservative populism yet know little about her record in Alaska and have perhaps written her off as presidential material.
“This film is a call to action for a campaign like 1976: Reagan vs. the establishment,” Bannon told RealClearPolitics. “Let's have a good old-fashioned brouhaha.”
But she hasn't announced yet…there is not even a peep that she will announce soon. So is she going to run or not?
Make no mistake…if she announces it will send shockwaves throughout the establishment ranks who will do their best to destroy her before she can hurt their favorite RINO's.
Palin's role over the last few years has been quite important in helping to rally the opposition to Obama…opposition that seemed impossible days after his inauguration. So you can bet your ass Obama will be worried.
And rumors abound that one of her potential running mates just may be Giuliani.

The fact that, after two years of battle and media attacks against her, she can still stand with the other presidential hopefuls is amazing.

Sarah Palin has consistently shown the guts, and stomach, to be involved in public activities, and has taken more heat since being named as VP candidate by the MSM than Obama has since he first emerged on the scene as an Illinois Senator. And, she still continues to engage in activities that put her in front of the public.

Sarah Palin has a message, that she is delivering quite well. I agree that she is a polarizing figure, but much of that is due to the lies and spin of the MSM and pop-culture oxygen bandits. I like Sarah Palin and if she jumps in the race, I will not only vote for her, but volunteer on her campaign for the area I live in.
I like Rubio too, but he isn’t well-known to people who don’t follow politics at all. I worry that he will have a difficult time gaining support from the typical middle-class conservatives.
One last thing, Romney is another sock-puppet Republican, who, in my opinion, doesn’t really stand for anything. He might be eloquent of speech, or he might not, I don’t know because I won’t listen to him speak. It seems to me that he will bend whichever way the wind blows, and that is something this country doesn’t need right now.

In the apples/oranges bit, you said “widespread unpopularity”, and I pointed out she is right on the heels of Romney in a national pollster’s most recent findings. The fact she’s up there at all belies your incorrect personal assumption. You then point to different polls… none as current as the Gallup, BTW… to say she’s not second, she’s third.
huh? If she were so all fired “unpopular”, as you so strongly want to believe, she wouldn’t be placing near the top without even getting close to declaring candidacy. And using your logic, does that mean the candidates low on the totem pole are “widely unpopular” as well?
As to the RCP you suggest, that’s also incorrect. Per a May 26th RCP headline, she is 2nd to Romney. They refer to the same Gallup poll I linked. If you got to the RCP page of all the latest polls, you’ll see she’s not only 2nd in the Gallup poll, but she and Romney are both tied at 16/16 in the latest the Public Policy polling on 2012 GOP candidates.
If you go to the latest polls page on Rasmussen, you’ll see they have not done a GOP candidate field poll in quite some time, and have only done match ups of individual candidates against Obama, – plus a poll about the upward trend of Republicans in the country, surpassing Democrats by 1.6%.
So I have no clue what your source is, since you are careful not to provide it. I, however, know where to look for the latest polls that are released, and what you claim is simply all in your imagination…. or from extremely dated information.

The status of being “polarizing” has nothing to do with poll numbers. Sure you can’t believe that simply because they both start with “p-o-l”, do ya? LOL

What you are quoting is the RCP *average* not from today, but from April 10th to May 26th. Note all the polls conducted here. Palin has consistently been in the top two, or three, for the majority of these. Hardly “widely unpopular” except among you lib/progs. That’s to be expected. Romney’s been a no secret candidate for quite some time. He’s been campaigning, without declaring, for months. Palin’s been pretty quiet, only recently coming on the scene with political activity and now this bus tour. This is a woman who has the luxury of enough name recognition that she can declare very late in the game… if at all. Whether she declares or not, she’s going to be widely entertaining!
I suggest that if you are looking for an Obama guarantee, you all continue to shove Romney down our throats. Most of the conservatives I know are like me. If it’s a choice between Obama and Obama “Romney” lite, I’m going third party. Since there is no difference, I’m going to allow Obama to eat the fruits of his policies, and not let them be blamed on a fake Republican from MA and a small “r” behind his name.
