A former fetus, the “wordsmith from nantucket” was born in Phoenix, Arizona in 1968. Adopted at birth, wordsmith grew up a military brat. He achieved his B.A. in English from the University of California, Los Angeles (graduating in the top 97% of his class), where he also competed rings for the UCLA mens gymnastics team. The events of 9/11 woke him from his political slumber and malaise. Currently a personal trainer and gymnastics coach.
The wordsmith has never been to Nantucket.
LOL- a little humor break is a good idea on this grim day, Wordsmith-

Actually, my Massachusetts State return annoys me far more than my Federal return.
Federal: Form 1040 – 1 page, Schedule A – 1 page, full stop.
Mass State: Form 1 – 2 pages, Schedules X & Y – 1 page, Schedule B – 1 page, Schedule HC (to prove I have medical insurance) – 2 pages plus a special 1099-HC from my insurance company – 1 page. It took 2 stamps to mail the mess and that is pretty much the MINIMUM number of forms for a simple return (i.e. my 20 year old college student son had to file the same forms!)
