A former fetus, the “wordsmith from nantucket” was born in Phoenix, Arizona in 1968. Adopted at birth, wordsmith grew up a military brat. He achieved his B.A. in English from the University of California, Los Angeles (graduating in the top 97% of his class), where he also competed rings for the UCLA mens gymnastics team. The events of 9/11 woke him from his political slumber and malaise. Currently a personal trainer and gymnastics coach.
The wordsmith has never been to Nantucket.

With due respect, the Holder in the graveyard drawing is not a Sunday Funny.
Yeah, not so much funny as painfully accurate.
I think the “funny” is that the comic is a cartoon, not that it’s actually funny.
Unless you’re a liberal, then it’s funny.
Very poignant cartoon, Wordsmith. Thanks for posting this. Wow.
Political cartoons can have several results.
Sometimes one laughs till it hurts.
Sometimes it hurts to laugh.
Sometimes it just hurts.
You guys are right. I used to draw cartoons about hunters, fishermen, dogs, horses, and my hunting partner Knarely Manners. They were meant to make you chuckle. Maybe I’ll try to use one in an article. I’m afraid I am a little overly sensitive, I apologize to my friends and especially to the artist. He did what an artist is supposed to accomplish, evoke emotion and make a point. He did that, quite well.
