I can only imagine the outrage that would be heard from them all.
I can’t pledge to not buy tickets as I rarely go to the movies (The last one was Clone Wars with my son and before that – YEARS before). So that would just be an empty pledge and me mouthing words.
I can pledge that I don’t want my kids indoctrinated and will make sure that my school is aware that I protest this being shown.
If parents want their children to see this, then they can go to youtube AT THEIR HOME and show it.

I live in Draper, Utah. This item was on the news last night locally. I have a gut feeling that there will be severe consequences over this liberal propaganda. The head of our local Eagle Forum was on the news last night voicing her concerns. I know there are conservatives in Hollywood (albeit few), but I don’t know who the hell most of these Bozo’s are that have participated in Barack Earmonkeybama’s video. Could someone leave a list for me so that I will be sure not to watch or endorse any of these “Thespians” (I used to beat up Thespians for practice when I was in Middle Screwel). It’s funny to me that these Bozo’s who endorse Earmonkeybama would be the first ones on the elimination list when his Nationalist Socialist Party take full control of our country, over my dead body. Just got off the phone with my School Superintendent Office. I asked them whether they were going to show the Obama thing on September 8. She said the Super and Principals were going to meet later and that they had been “deluged” with calls from parents. “I assume you’re against it,” she said. I mentioned the video on this post that was shown in Utah which suggests us pledging to serve Obama. “Are you just worried about the content of the broadcast Tuesday?” she asked hopefully. “No, I don’t like the whole idea of it,” I said. It doesn’t seem right, beyond the politics of it. I even mentioned the word “subsidiarity”. I wonder if she’ll look it up!
The good thing was she couldn’t have been nicer and I complimented her on that and I thanked her for what she does. I come from a town in New Hampshire and I am encouraged that MANY other parents apparently have decided to pick up their phones on behalf of their kids and their country.

I would say I’d boycott these actors’ movies, but then again, I probably don’t have to because their films/shows are ones I don’t like to begin with, so wouldn’t watch anyway. I think this just proves just how kookie they are, and desperate for publicity. I’m sure they mean well, but I think they need some reality therapy. Maybe their therapy could be to attend 3-4 townhalls and tea parties to see what the majority of Americans (all politcal parties) are truly thinking, and help them get out of the mind fog they are in? Kidding aside, that might not be a bad idea! 😉

When Bush was in office, that would never happen, and here is a good example of how Bush was helpin’ school kids:
When you have a Conservative President like Bush, you can easily see how he is cool under pressure and his calm, measured demeanor in a crisis speaks loudly that ” hey America, these kids are learnin’ something here, and it is not some leftist propaganda, so this is the level of commitment my administration has for good old book learnin’, even while America is being attacked!”
See, Bush’s schedule of events was put out for the press and the whole world to know about, everyone including the 911 hijackers knew Bush was at that school that day, and had a press conference later too. The hijackers could have at any point targeted the President and all those children. Bush knew that and stayed for a real long time listening to those kids read, because unlike the Socialist Obama, even though the Nation was now at war, and those kids and the school were a potential target and at extreme risk, Bush knew that interrupting those kids lessons that day was not an option, and the attack and the safety of the President and the Country came second to his honorable commitment to our children’s education and settin’ an example of listening to them read instead of filling their poor heads with Socialist propaganda. The man demonstrated that he has time to listen and help out those kids, no matter what. Only a man like Bush would do that, not the socialist Obama.
We all know that every bad thing that has ever happened in our country is the fault of leftist, socialist Liberals, even the 911 attack was all Clinton’s fault, right? This proves the fact that even when Republicans have the White House and the majority of both the Congress and Senate, we are not safe as long as there are liberals who wield Alinsky tactics for power and control. Even electing all Republican majorities and a Republican President can’t keep this country safe, because a large percentage of Americans continue to vote for Democrats, who hate America and work tirelessly night and day to see to it that America is destroyed, and have cause more damage than Republicans can possibly ever repair.
Now Obama is talking directly to our school kids, the Socialist with his Socialist Government subsidized lunch programs, Government funded after school programs, Federal Grants, Federal funding of the schools themselves, scholarships, funding for programs to help children with special needs….you get the idea, this is Socialist Government control of your children, and it is not in the Constitution.
Why just pull our kids out of school on the day Obama is speaking to them? Get them out of the Obama Socialist schools and keep them out, let the private sector take care of it, and for God’s sake give them more tax cuts so competition can thrive and the private sector educators can let the free market education system prosper. Or educate them at home where Conservative wisdom and knowledge can be taught and most assuredly save our country and restore all that is right to America. Abolish the US Dept of Education, one of the evil tools of the Alinsky controlled Socialist Obama youth movement. Abraham Lincoln learned and educated himself mostly by himself, your and my kids can too, and they don’t need those big fancy Government mandated and controlled after school sports events, where they let girls get the same type of sports as boys, in order to have a good conservative productive life. Get the Socialist Government off our backs and let the free market decide who gets a good education and who doesn’t without all the Government strings that are like ropes attached to the money they take from us and spend training our children to be socialist thugs, who someday may end up with a decent paying Union job further destroying America as we know it. I admit, there are some sites that you wouldn’t be quite so far off on, but honor impels me to defend the people here. Such a screed says to us that you have us all figured out and that we are all ignorant and motivated by prejudice and fear. Is that really true? I think you have misread a lot of people that I know personally and through other organizations, also. Such a misrepresentation of our motives is hurtful and unjust. Why do that? What do you hope to achieve?
I don’t want to assume any such things about you. Why not deal more substantively with the events, ideas or occurrences that you feel strongly about without throwing the net of prejudice over a lot of good people? Maybe you actually have some good points to make.

That is your tax money paying their salary so don’t be afraid to let them know your viewpoint. Mike: I been watching Glen Beck, I didn’t realize all the plots and conspiracies before. You folks are doing a great job exposing the Socialist Obama and his plot to destroy America. His schedule was posted that day for the press and the world, and among the very many things that were very strange about Bush’s actions that day, the secret service should have grabbed him up like they did Dick Cheney and whisked him off to a safe location pronto. The country is under attack, the enemy and all the world knows right where Bush is at, several Planes are unaccounted for with their transmitters shut off, and Bush sits there for 7-10 minutes, doesn’t initiate an order only the President could give, to shoot down any plane that is a threat, or any order for that matter and exposing those school kids to danger because it would be reasonable to figure he might be a target as was the Pentagon and Twin Towers. Nobody was a captive there, but if a threat to the President existed, it was also a threat to those in that classroom while he was there.
I was impressed however in his devotion to those kids and them doing their reading in class despite the National Emergency unfolding without his direct involvement during the time he stayed in the classroom and also stayed for photos, not leaving until after even the press had left. Unlike the Socialist Obama who wants to brainwash our youth with his live talk and probably use some hidden Socialist messages in the video link that only vulnerable children can absorb.

Was I frightened?
Yeah. I was frightened.
From where I sit you can see forever to the west–on clear days you can see contrails of myriad aircraft carrying myriad people across flyover country.
That day and for many days the skies were empty and nobody understood quite what that meant.
We live a few miles north (more or less) of Offutt AFB. We don’t get much heavy traffic over head.
But that night there was some. And in the days that followed there were occasional heavies overhead–usually when somebody important was speaking in a public place.
And thinking about what that might mean is frightening.
For several years, I was not especially frightened except when one of our pols or their friends said something stupid.
Now I am frightened all the time. Frightened because our enemies are being encouraged to hurt us. Frightened because my age and condition suggest that I am soon to be sedated and left to die.
And I don’t want to die, I am still working on things that are not finished.

I’m so disgusted I dont’ know where to begin. I’m an 8th grade teacher and I have to sit through the entire speech on the 9th because we have been “asked” to make it our lesson of the day. So I have to sit up there and smile and act like I agree with everything he is saying and then lead my classes in discussions. The only thing I’m so blessed to say is that my own children go to school in the same district and the two schools have said they won’t be participating in the airing of Obama’s speech. Junior high will have it available if students wish to watch it in the library, elementary won’t disrupt their academic day and air it. Thank God, for once, that I agree with those principals. It just goes to show you that demographics plays a huge role in deciding who will watch it and who won’t. And…you can’t say anything about it, speak out against it, because if you do then of course you’re a racist, conservative POS. Well if not pledging my allegiance to America’s Hitler, makes me a racist, then sign me up. I want to the president of the club. I pledge allegiance to my country and my love to my JESUS.
For all the whining on the left about people using 9/11 for political gain, why is it that the leftists are the ones who routinely engage in that behavior?
It’s disgusting to watch you sit there and second guess the events and reactions of the people involved on 9/11. People whose impeccable skill, devotion, and professionalism you could only dream of emulating.
You’re pointing fingers at, and finding fault with, decisions that were made by people who are willing to put themselves in front of a bullet or worse in order to preserve the life of the President and their other protectees. Their devotion and service to this country goes far beyond party loyalty or ideology.
You have not one inkling of a clue what the Secret Service is all about, yet you pontificate and posture and point your gnarled finger at them as if they really owe you some sort of explanation.
That’s what makes you such an asshole.
The Secret Service doesn’t owe you any sort of explanation for anything that they do or don’t do. They don’t have to justify to you their actions on 9/11. They did what was in the best interest of the President and this country.
They did what they are trained to do.
There is no doubt that the Secret Service has a lot more experience in protecting people than you do.
Those professionals, impeccably trained and highly experienced, are the ones who were making the decisions about the safety of the President that morning.
How dare you point your finger at them and criticize.
The events have been dissected, analyzed, disassembled, and then reassembled again. We’re now nearly eight long years out. How convenient for you.
What you’re not including in your amateurish analysis is the high level of uncertainty that existed on that morning. What you’re failing to include is that no one knew exactly what was going on. No one. Perhaps you’ve forgotten.
Would it have been wise to have quickly loaded the President into a waiting limo and then rush him headlong into a possible ambush along the highway because they didn’t take the necessary time to lock down the escape route?
Would it have been wise to load the President into his limo and then rush him to Air Force One to then have the plan sit there and wait to be ready to fly? In that particular situation, Air Force One would be a mighty big target.
What “safe location” could the Secret Service have whisked him off too? Does the school in Sarasota have some secret underground bunker that could have been utilized?
The answer, obviously, is no.
It would have been foolish for the Secret Service to have moved the President from the school without first assessing what the situation was and how to safely move him.
The school was the safest place for the President to be until an assessment could be made and a plan implemented.
Furthermore, as a routine matter, the airspace surrounding a Presidential appearance is always restricted and that is enforced by the military. Considering that fact alone, your insinuation that the children were endangered is just more worthless spittle flecked spew.
As to why President Bush didn’t return immediately to DC, that was another decision that the Secret Service made. They are entrusted with the well being of their protectees and, in the most critical of situations, they make the decisions that they deem best.
President Bush overrode the advice of the Secret Service later in the day and he returned to DC.
Obviously, you know nothing of the Secret Service and the techniques that they employ. It’s not my job or responsibility to inform you further and most of it is beyond your need to know anyway.

Just got off the phone with my School Superintendent Office. I asked them whether they were going to show the Obama thing on September 8. She said the Super and Principals were going to meet later and that they had been “deluged” with calls from parents. “I assume you’re against it,” she said. I mentioned the video on this post that was shown in Utah which suggests us pledging to serve Obama. “Are you just worried about the content of the broadcast Tuesday?” she asked hopefully. “No, I don’t like the whole idea of it,” I said. It doesn’t seem right, beyond the politics of it. I even mentioned the word “subsidiarity”. I wonder if she’ll look it up!
The good thing was she couldn’t have been nicer and I complimented her on that and I thanked her for what she does. I come from a town in New Hampshire and I am encouraged that MANY other parents apparently have decided to pick up their phones on behalf of their kids and their country.

I would say I’d boycott these actors’ movies, but then again, I probably don’t have to because their films/shows are ones I don’t like to begin with, so wouldn’t watch anyway. I think this just proves just how kookie they are, and desperate for publicity. I’m sure they mean well, but I think they need some reality therapy. When Bush was in office, that would never happen, and here is a good example of how Bush was helpin’ school kids:
When you have a Conservative President like Bush, you can easily see how he is cool under pressure and his calm, measured demeanor in a crisis speaks loudly that ” hey America, these kids are learnin’ something here, and it is not some leftist propaganda, so this is the level of commitment my administration has for good old book learnin’, even while America is being attacked!”
See, Bush’s schedule of events was put out for the press and the whole world to know about, everyone including the 911 hijackers knew Bush was at that school that day, and had a press conference later too. The hijackers could have at any point targeted the President and all those children. Bush knew that and stayed for a real long time listening to those kids read, because unlike the Socialist Obama, even though the Nation was now at war, and those kids and the school were a potential target and at extreme risk, Bush knew that interrupting those kids lessons that day was not an option, and the attack and the safety of the President and the Country came second to his honorable commitment to our children’s education and settin’ an example of listening to them read instead of filling their poor heads with Socialist propaganda. The man demonstrated that he has time to listen and help out those kids, no matter what. Only a man like Bush would do that, not the socialist Obama.
We all know that every bad thing that has ever happened in our country is the fault of leftist, socialist Liberals, even the 911 attack was all Clinton’s fault, right? This proves the fact that even when Republicans have the White House and the majority of both the Congress and Senate, we are not safe as long as there are liberals who wield Alinsky tactics for power and control. Even electing all Republican majorities and a Republican President can’t keep this country safe, because a large percentage of Americans continue to vote for Democrats, who hate America and work tirelessly night and day to see to it that America is destroyed, and have cause more damage than Republicans can possibly ever repair.
Now Obama is talking directly to our school kids, the Socialist with his Socialist Government subsidized lunch programs, Government funded after school programs, Federal Grants, Federal funding of the schools themselves, scholarships, funding for programs to help children with special needs….you get the idea, this is Socialist Government control of your children, and it is not in the Constitution.
Why just pull our kids out of school on the day Obama is speaking to them? Get them out of the Obama Socialist schools and keep them out, let the private sector take care of it, and for God’s sake give them more tax cuts so competition can thrive and the private sector educators can let the free market education system prosper. Or educate them at home where Conservative wisdom and knowledge can be taught and most assuredly save our country and restore all that is right to America. Abolish the US Dept of Education, one of the evil tools of the Alinsky controlled Socialist Obama youth movement. Abraham Lincoln learned and educated himself mostly by himself, your and my kids can too, and they don’t need those big fancy Government mandated and controlled after school sports events, where they let girls get the same type of sports as boys, in order to have a good conservative productive life. Get the Socialist Government off our backs and let the free market decide who gets a good education and who doesn’t without all the Government strings that are like ropes attached to the money they take from us and spend training our children to be socialist thugs, who someday may end up with a decent paying Union job further destroying America as we know it. The country is under attack, the enemy and all the world knows right where Bush is at, several Planes are unaccounted for with their transmitters shut off, and Bush sits there for 7-10 minutes, doesn’t initiate an order only the President could give, to shoot down any plane that is a threat, or any order for that matter and exposing those school kids to danger because it would be reasonable to figure he might be a target as was the Pentagon and Twin Towers. Nobody was a captive there, but if a threat to the President existed, it was also a threat to those in that classroom while he was there.

I was impressed however in his devotion to those kids and them doing their reading in class despite the National Emergency unfolding without his direct involvement during the time he stayed in the classroom and also stayed for photos, not leaving until after even the press had left. Was I frightened?
Yeah. I was frightened.
From where I sit you can see forever to the west–on clear days you can see contrails of myriad aircraft carrying myriad people across flyover country.
That day and for many days the skies were empty and nobody understood quite what that meant.
We live a few miles north (more or less) of Offutt AFB. We don’t get much heavy traffic over head.
But that night there was some. And in the days that followed there were occasional heavies overhead–usually when somebody important was speaking in a public place.
And thinking about what that might mean is frightening.
For several years, I was not especially frightened except when one of our pols or their friends said something stupid.
Now I am frightened all the time. Frightened because our enemies are being encouraged to hurt us. Frightened because my age and condition suggest that I am soon to be sedated and left to die.
And I don’t want to die, I am still working on things that are not finished.
I’m so disgusted I dont’ know where to begin. I’m an 8th grade teacher and I have to sit through the entire speech on the 9th because we have been “asked” to make it our lesson of the day. So I have to sit up there and smile and act like I agree with everything he is saying and then lead my classes in discussions. The only thing I’m so blessed to say is that my own children go to school in the same district and the two schools have said they won’t be participating in the airing of Obama’s speech. Junior high will have it available if students wish to watch it in the library, elementary won’t disrupt their academic day and air it. Thank God, for once, that I agree with those principals. It just goes to show you that demographics plays a huge role in deciding who will watch it and who won’t. And…you can’t say anything about it, speak out against it, because if you do then of course you’re a racist, conservative POS. The Secret Service doesn’t owe you any sort of explanation for anything that they do or don’t do. They don’t have to justify to you their actions on 9/11. They did what was in the best interest of the President and this country.
They did what they are trained to do.
There is no doubt that the Secret Service has a lot more experience in protecting people than you do.
Those professionals, impeccably trained and highly experienced, are the ones who were making the decisions about the safety of the President that morning.

The events have been dissected, analyzed, disassembled, and then reassembled again. We’re now nearly eight long years out. How convenient for you.
What you’re not including in your amateurish analysis is the high level of uncertainty that existed on that morning. What you’re failing to include is that no one knew exactly what was going on. No one. Perhaps you’ve forgotten.
Would it have been wise to have quickly loaded the President into a waiting limo and then rush him headlong into a possible ambush along the highway because they didn’t take the necessary time to lock down the escape route?
Would it have been wise to load the President into his limo and then rush him to Air Force One to then have the plan sit there and wait to be ready to fly? In that particular situation, Air Force One would be a mighty big target.
What “safe location” could the Secret Service have whisked him off too? Does the school in Sarasota have some secret underground bunker that could have been utilized?
The answer, obviously, is no.
It would have been foolish for the Secret Service to have moved the President from the school without first assessing what the situation was and how to safely move him.
The school was the safest place for the President to be until an assessment could be made and a plan implemented.
Furthermore, as a routine matter, the airspace surrounding a Presidential appearance is always restricted and that is enforced by the military. Considering that fact alone, your insinuation that the children were endangered is just more worthless spittle flecked spew.
As to why President Bush didn’t return immediately to DC, that was another decision that the Secret Service made. They are entrusted with the well being of their protectees and, in the most critical of situations, they make the decisions that they deem best.
President Bush overrode the advice of the Secret Service later in the day and he returned to DC.
Obviously, you know nothing of the Secret Service and the techniques that they employ. It’s not my job or responsibility to inform you further and most of it is beyond your need to know anyway.

I think this is at least a viable solution and reasonable compromise to disrupting their regular schedule for their first day of school. I prefer it not be at the schools at all (it just seems an inappropriate place) but maybe this is the better of the two options.

I will say you are strong advocates for your cause, and if it means much to you or not, I can absolutely respect that. And you too Old Trooper, however, the Nazi, Fascist, Socialist, and racial (comment # 57) venom goes unchallenged and I believe the above mentioned writers in fact condone and encourage it.
