UPDATE BELOW

One of our regulars, American Voter, received WH spam.

So we thought it would be interesting to see just how many of you have received unsolicited email spam from the White House, and to collect the text of that spam in one place. I’ll start by posting American Voter’s spam here, below the YouTube video exchange between WH correspondent Major Garrett & Obama mouthpiece, Robert Gibbs. Please add yours to the thread below.

Then perhaps, we can forward to journalist Major Garrett, or other finally curious media, to find out just what’s going on. Evidently, Gibbs and Obama need “proof” this is happening….

Has anyone else been receiving email spam from the DCCC — along with the White House Axelrod messages? The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) is the official campaign arm of the Democrats in the House of Representatives…

I have had no luck opting out of this junk and below is their constructive message from today — focusing on Rush Limbaugh and Sarah Palin…the text seems to be inciting hate against two individuals! Is this the Dem Congressmen’s message to the American people — hatred?

Scare Rush and Sarah Right Back

XXXXXXXXXXXXX,

This past weekend I heard something that disturbed me even more than all the lies and scare tactics coming from the likes of Rush Limbaugh and Sarah Palin. I heard my friends and neighbors ask if these lies were true.

Apparently I’m not alone. More and more, we’re hearing alarming reports from grassroots supporters that ordinary Americans at birthday parties, summer picnics, and backyard barbeques are believing the lies they are being told by the right wing on health insurance reform. It’s even more urgent that we get the real truth out.

Since I just shared my story, we need you to share yours and help President Obama fight the Republican lies with the real facts on health insurance reform.

There’s still time to take action in the fight for health insurance reform. Download your Health Care Fact Check Card, and learn all the other ways that you can get involved.

I became the DCCC’s National Field Director for one simple reason. I wanted to unleash the same grassroots power that we used to elect President Obama last year to fight the smears and fears from those on the far right who want to obstruct his agenda.

From disrupting town halls to Sarah Palin’s fictitious ‘death panels’ to Rush Limbaugh’s revolting use of swastikas, the Republicans are doing everything they can to keep this debate from actually being about the facts on health care. Because that’s when they lose.

But we can scare Rush and Sarah right back by showing them the true power that grassroots Democrats have to overcome their lies and help President Obama bring real change on health care reform.

There’s still time to take action in the fight for health insurance reform. Download your Health Care Fact Check Card, and learn all the other ways that you can get involved.

Please join the fight today!

Thanks,

Marlon Marshall
DCCC National Field Director

P.S. From Sarah Palin’s fictitious ‘death panels’ to Rush Limbaugh’s revolting use of swastikas, the Republicans are doing everything they can to keep this debate from being about the real facts on health care reform. In addition to engaging your friends and neighbors, please help us hold Republicans accountable by generously contributing to keep our assault of radio ads on the air.

UPDATE

Now we know who the White House hired to send these unsolicited emails:

The White House hired a private communications company based in Minnesota to distribute mass e-mails, helping to shed light on how some recipients received e-mails in support of President Obama’s health care plan without signing up for them, FOX News has learned.

The company, Govdelivery, describes itself as the world’s leading provider of government-to-citizen communication solutions and says its e-mail service provides a fully-automated on-demand public communication system.

It is still unknown how much taxpayer money the White House provides to Govdelivery for its services.

The revelation comes after the White House acknowledged this week that people were receiving unsolicited e-mails from the administration about health care reform and suggested the problem was with third-party groups that placed the recipients’ names on the distribution list.

Major Garrett showed Axelrod’s lengthy spam email from last week, Aug 13th, on tv — so you all most likely are aware of the lengthy contents — if anyone wants a copy, I will supply here.

here is an earlier one, Aug 10 — with White House Logo on the email.

It’s time for a reality check

David Axelrod, The White House to me
show details Aug 10 (9 days ago)

Dear Friend,

Anyone that’s watched the news in the past few days knows that health insurance reform is a hot topic — and that rumors and scare tactics have only increased as more people engage with the issue. Given a lot of the outrageous claims floating around, it’s time to make sure everyone knows the facts about the security and stability you get with health insurance reform.

That’s why we’ve launched a new online resource — WhiteHouse.gov/RealityCheck — to help you separate fact from fiction and share the truth about health insurance reform. Here’s a few of the reality check videos you can find on the site:
CEA Chair Christina Romer details how health insurance reform will impact small businesses.
Domestic Policy Council Director Melody Barnes tackles a nasty rumor about euthanasia and clearly describes how reform helps families.
Matt Flavin, the White House’s Director of Veterans and Wounded Warrior Policy, clears the air about Veteran’s benefits.
Kavita Patel, M.D., a doctor serving in the White House’s Office of Public Engagement, explains that health care rationing is happening right now and how reform gives control back to patients and doctors.
Bob Kocher, M.D., a doctor serving on the National Economic Council, debunks the myth that health insurance reform will be financed by cutting Medicare benefits.
There’s more information and a number of online tools you can use to spread the truth among your family, friends and other social networks. Take a look:

We knew going into this effort that accomplishing comprehensive health insurance reform wasn’t going to be easy. Achieving real change never is. The entrenched interests that benefit from the status quo always use their influence in Washington to try and keep things just as they are.

But don’t be misled. We know the status quo is unsustainable. If we do nothing, millions more Americans will be denied insurance because of pre-existing conditions, or see their coverage suddenly dropped if they become seriously ill. Out-of-pocket expenses will continue to soar, and more and more families and businesses will be forced to deal with health insurance costs they can’t afford.

That’s the reality.

Americans deserve better. You deserve a health care system that works as well for you as it does for the status quo; one you can depend on — that won’t deny you coverage when you need it most or charge you crippling out-of-pocket co-pays. Health insurance reform means guaranteeing the health care security and stability you deserve.

President Barack Obama promised he’d bring change to Washington and fix our broken, unsustainable health insurance system. You can help deliver that change. Visit WhiteHouse.gov/RealityCheck, get the facts and spread the truth. The stakes are just too high to do nothing.

Thank you,
David

Here is another one from the DCCC (I have received quite a few) This one claims it is a fwrd from President Clinton. All these emails claim you can quit receiving these — but that elective has not worked for months…I keep getting these…Most of these spam messages address me by my first name…so I am wondering how much more information they have obtained.

I have never signed up to receive email from the DCCC, the White House, or any other Democratic, Progressive, Liberal, Leftist organization or candidate. I have emailed my Congressional Representatives but have done so for years. This type of spam started coming my way in April 2009.

Dear XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX,

Thanks to your overwhelming grassroots response to President Clinton’s e-mail, Democrats have just agreed to match your dollars for another 24 hours to fight back against Republicans attacks on health insurance reform.

Check out President Clinton’s message below – and please contribute before tonight’s extended deadline.

Jon Vogel
DCCC Executive Director

From: President Bill Clinton

Friend —

It seems like the 1993 health care debate all over again. Back then, I led the charge for comprehensive health insurance reform. I fought tooth and nail to get it done, keenly aware that millions of Americans were living in fear that a serious illness or injury could spell economic disaster for their families. Americans needed health care reform then and we urgently need it now.

But, just as I did in 1993, President Obama has run into a buzz saw of special interest opposition to his top domestic policy priority — health care reform. He is facing off against some of the most powerful special interests in Washington who’ve launched a furious campaign to preserve the status quo.

Simply put, they’re at it again. That’s why I’m calling on you to stand with President Obama and the DCCC in fighting for change right now. The DCCC is united in their Health Care Reform Now campaign and is trying to raise $250,000 in grassroots donations before their deadline at midnight tonight.

Contribute $5, $10 or more tonight before our deadline at MIDNIGHT and your gift will be matched dollar-for-dollar.

Legislation that would lower health care costs for everyone, improve the quality of care, preserve choice and provide more coverage options for American families was introduced in the House last month – just as Speaker Pelosi promised.

But a U.S. health care system that makes quality care affordable for everyone is going to take a lot of hard work from all of us.

Your immediate response is essential because Republicans are waging a fierce assault on President Obama’s health care initiative and on Democratic Members of Congress fighting to reform health care now.

Contribute $5 $10 or more tonight before our deadline at MIDNIGHT and your gift will be matched dollar-for-dollar.

Republicans have made a political calculation that they’d rather attack Congressional Democrats with sound bites and misleading characterizations of the President’s health care reform plan than work on behalf of the American people.

It’s up to us to prevent the Republican Party and their special interest backers from doing whatever they can to prevent this historic opportunity to make quality health care affordable and accessible to all.

Please make your next contribution to the DCCC a generous one…and please be sure to give before midnight tonight.

Thank you,
Bill Clinton
P.S. Remember that any size contribution you can make to the DCCC will be matched dollar-for-dollar. So, if you are able, now is an ideal time to step up your support of President Obama’s change agenda.

*A group of Democrats will match your donation today. For every dollar that you donate, they will donate a dollar of their own.

Dear,

As you read this, we are closer than ever to passing comprehensive health insurance reform that benefits American families and small businesses. Despite all the back and forth in the news right now, it is important to understand just how far we’ve come in this challenging process.

That’s why I’m holding a press conference tonight at 8pm ET, and writing to let everyone know where we are, what’s ahead, and why health insurance reform is so important.

Let me be clear: although Congress is still debating parts of the legislation we have achieved critical consensus on several key areas:

If you already have health insurance: reform will provide you with more security and stability. It will limit your own out of pocket costs and prevent your insurance company from dropping your coverage if you get too sick. You’ll also have affordable insurance options if you lose or change your job. And it will cover preventive care like check-ups and mammograms that save lives and money.

If you don’t have health insurance: you will finally have guaranteed access to quality, affordable health care, and you can choose the plan that best suits your family’s needs. And no insurance company will be allowed to deny you coverage because of a pre-existing medical condition.

Now, I realize that the last few miles of any race are the hardest to run, but we can’t stop now. There’s no dispute about it: we cannot control our long-term fiscal health as a nation without health insurance reform. American families and small businesses understand that the health insurance status quo is taking away those things that they value most about health care. The stability and security that comes with knowing that you can get the treatment you need, when you need it. Without reform, we are consigning our children to a future of skyrocketing premiums and crushing deficits.

We have to seize this opportunity and pass health insurance reform this year. You can help by forwarding this email to your family and friends and letting them know what’s at stake in this debate.

Thank you,
Barack Obama

P.S. Tune in to tonight’s press conference on health insurance reform at 8pm ET on WhiteHouse.gov.

Hello –

As a Senior Advisor to the President, I’m here in Cairo, Egypt where I watched President Obama deliver an unprecedented speech calling for a new beginning for the United States and Muslim communities around the world.

We all know that there has been tension between the United States and some Muslim communities. But, as the President said this morning, if all sides face the sources of tension squarely and focus on mutual interests, we can find a new way forward.

The President outlined some big goals for this new beginning in his speech — including disrupting, dismantling, and defeating violent extremism. It was a historic speech, and since many Americans were asleep at the time it was given we wanted to make sure you had a chance to see it:

A New Beginning

Majority-Muslim countries around the world are filled with extraordinary people who simply want to live their lives and see their children live better lives, just as in America. Indeed, part of what makes America great is having nearly seven million Muslim Americans living here today and enriching our culture and communities.

We can extend that kind of relationship abroad. It won’t always be easy, but if we make an effort to bridge our differences rather than resigning ourselves to animosity, we can move toward a more peaceful world over time.

Thank you,
David Axelrod

Good Morning,

Yesterday, Judge Sonia Sotomayor made her opening statement to the Senate Judiciary Committee and moved another step closer to taking a seat on the United States Supreme Court. In case you missed it, watch the video of her opening statement here:

Judge Sotomayors Opening Statement

As President, there are few responsibilities more serious or consequential than the naming of a Supreme Court Justice, so I want to take this opportunity to tell you about the qualifications and character that informed my decision to nominate Judge Sotomayor.

Judge Sotomayor’s brilliant legal mind is complemented by the practical lessons that can only be learned by applying the law to real world situations.

In the coming days, the hearings will cover an incredible body of work from a judge who has more experience on the federal bench than any incoming Supreme Court Justice in the last 100 years. Judge Sotomayor’s professional background spans our judicial system — from her time as a big-city prosecutor and a corporate litigator, to her work as a federal trial judge on the U.S. District Court, and an appellate judge on the Second Circuit Court of Appeals.

And then there is Judge Sotomayor’s incredible personal story. She grew up in a housing project in the South Bronx — her parents coming to New York from Puerto Rico during the Second World War. At the age of nine, she lost her father, and her mother worked six days a week just to put food on the table. It takes a certain resilience and determination to rise up out of such circumstances, focus, work hard and achieve the American dream.

This character shined through in yesterday’s opening statement: Watch the video.

In Judge Sotomayor, our nation will have a Justice who will never forget her humble beginnings, will always apply the rule of law, and will be a protector of the Constitution that made her American dream and the dreams of millions of others possible. As she said so clearly yesterday, Judge Sotomayor’s decisions on the bench “have been made not to serve the interests of any one litigant, but always to serve the larger interest of impartial justice.”

In anticipation of today’s first round of questioning, I hope you’ll share this email widely, because Judge Sotomayor’s confirmation is something that affects every American. It’s important for these hearings to be about Judge Sotomayor’s own record and her capacity for the job — not any political back and forth that some in Washington may use to distract you. What members of the Judiciary Committee, and the American people, will see today is a sharp and fearless jurist who does not let powerful interests bully her into breaking from the rule of law.

Thank you,
Barack Obama

I got this in my yahoo email – which I use for business purposes… unsolicited on the whitehouse letter head:

Dear Friend,

This is probably one of the longest emails I’ve ever sent, but it could be the most important.

Across the country we are seeing vigorous debate about health insurance reform. Unfortunately, some of the old tactics we know so well are back — even the viral emails that fly unchecked and under the radar, spreading all sorts of lies and distortions.

As President Obama said at the town hall in New Hampshire, “where we do disagree, let’s disagree over things that are real, not these wild misrepresentations that bear no resemblance to anything that’s actually been proposed.”

So let’s start a chain email of our own. At the end of my email, you’ll find a lot of information about health insurance reform, distilled into 8 ways reform provides security and stability to those with or without coverage, 8 common myths about reform and 8 reasons we need health insurance reform now.

Right now, someone you know probably has a question about reform that could be answered by what’s below. So what are you waiting for? Forward this email.

Thanks,
David

David Axelrod
Senior Adviser to the President

P.S. We launched http://www.WhiteHouse.gov/realitycheck this week to knock down the rumors and lies that are floating around the internet. You can find the information below, and much more, there. For example, we’ve just added a video of Nancy-Ann DeParle from our Health Reform Office tackling a viral email head on. Check it out:

8 ways reform provides security and stability to those with or without coverage

Ends Discrimination for Pre-Existing Conditions: Insurance companies will be prohibited from refusing you coverage because of your medical history.
Ends Exorbitant Out-of-Pocket Expenses, Deductibles or Co-Pays: Insurance companies will have to abide by yearly caps on how much they can charge for out-of-pocket expenses.
Ends Cost-Sharing for Preventive Care: Insurance companies must fully cover, without charge, regular checkups and tests that help you prevent illness, such as mammograms or eye and foot exams for diabetics.
Ends Dropping of Coverage for Seriously Ill: Insurance companies will be prohibited from dropping or watering down insurance coverage for those who become seriously ill.
Ends Gender Discrimination: Insurance companies will be prohibited from charging you more because of your gender.
Ends Annual or Lifetime Caps on Coverage: Insurance companies will be prevented from placing annual or lifetime caps on the coverage you receive.
Extends Coverage for Young Adults: Children would continue to be eligible for family coverage through the age of 26.
Guarantees Insurance Renewal: Insurance companies will be required to renew any policy as long as the policyholder pays their premium in full. Insurance companies won’t be allowed to refuse renewal because someone became sick.

8 common myths about health insurance reform
Reform will stop “rationing” – not increase it: It’s a myth that reform will mean a “government takeover” of health care or lead to “rationing.” To the contrary, reform will forbid many forms of rationing that are currently being used by insurance companies.
We can’t afford reform: It’s the status quo we can’t afford. It’s a myth that reform will bust the budget. To the contrary, the President has identified ways to pay for the vast majority of the up-front costs by cutting waste, fraud, and abuse within existing government health programs; ending big subsidies to insurance companies; and increasing efficiency with such steps as coordinating care and streamlining paperwork. In the long term, reform can help bring down costs that will otherwise lead to a fiscal crisis.
Reform would encourage “euthanasia”: It does not. It’s a malicious myth that reform would encourage or even require euthanasia for seniors. For seniors who want to consult with their family and physicians about end-of life decisions, reform will help to cover these voluntary, private consultations for those who want help with these personal and difficult family decisions.
Vets’ health care is safe and sound: It’s a myth that health insurance reform will affect veterans’ access to the care they get now. To the contrary, the President’s budget significantly expands coverage under the VA, extending care to 500,000 more veterans who were previously excluded. The VA Healthcare system will continue to be available for all eligible veterans.
Reform will benefit small business – not burden it: It’s a myth that health insurance reform will hurt small businesses. To the contrary, reform will ease the burdens on small businesses, provide tax credits to help them pay for employee coverage and help level the playing field with big firms who pay much less to cover their employees on average.
Your Medicare is safe, and stronger with reform: It’s myth that Health Insurance Reform would be financed by cutting Medicare benefits. To the contrary, reform will improve the long-term financial health of Medicare, ensure better coordination, eliminate waste and unnecessary subsidies to insurance companies, and help to close the Medicare “doughnut” hole to make prescription drugs more affordable for seniors.
You can keep your own insurance: It’s myth that reform will force you out of your current insurance plan or force you to change doctors. To the contrary, reform will expand your choices, not eliminate them.
No, government will not do anything with your bank account: It is an absurd myth that government will be in charge of your bank accounts. Health insurance reform will simplify administration, making it easier and more convenient for you to pay bills in a method that you choose. Just like paying a phone bill or a utility bill, you can pay by traditional check, or by a direct electronic payment. And forms will be standardized so they will be easier to understand. The choice is up to you – and the same rules of privacy will apply as they do for all other electronic payments that people make.

8 Reasons We Need Health Insurance Reform Now

Coverage Denied to Millions: A recent national survey estimated that 12.6 million non-elderly adults – 36 percent of those who tried to purchase health insurance directly from an insurance company in the individual insurance market – were in fact discriminated against because of a pre-existing condition in the previous three years or dropped from coverage when they became seriously ill. Learn more: http://www.healthreform.gov/reports/denied_coverage/index.html
Less Care for More Costs: With each passing year, Americans are paying more for health care coverage. Employer-sponsored health insurance premiums have nearly doubled since 2000, a rate three times faster than wages. In 2008, the average premium for a family plan purchased through an employer was $12,680, nearly the annual earnings of a full-time minimum wage job. Americans pay more than ever for health insurance, but get less coverage. Learn more: http://www.healthreform.gov/reports/hiddencosts/index.html
Roadblocks to Care for Women: Women’s reproductive health requires more regular contact with health care providers, including yearly pap smears, mammograms, and obstetric care. Women are also more likely to report fair or poor health than men (9.5% versus 9.0%). While rates of chronic conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure are similar to men, women are twice as likely to suffer from headaches and are more likely to experience joint, back or neck pain. These chronic conditions often require regular and frequent treatment and follow-up care. Learn more: http://www.healthreform.gov/reports/women/index.html
Hard Times in the Heartland: Throughout rural America, there are nearly 50 million people who face challenges in accessing health care. The past several decades have consistently shown higher rates of poverty, mortality, uninsurance, and limited access to a primary health care provider in rural areas. With the recent economic downturn, there is potential for an increase in many of the health disparities and access concerns that are already elevated in rural communities. Learn more: http://www.healthreform.gov/reports/hardtimes
Small Businesses Struggle to Provide Health Coverage: Nearly one-third of the uninsured – 13 million people – are employees of firms with less than 100 workers. From 2000 to 2007, the proportion of non-elderly Americans covered by employer-based health insurance fell from 66% to 61%. Much of this decline stems from small business. The percentage of small businesses offering coverage dropped from 68% to 59%, while large firms held stable at 99%. About a third of such workers in firms with fewer than 50 employees obtain insurance through a spouse. Learn more: http://www.healthreform.gov/reports/helpbottomline
The Tragedies are Personal: Half of all personal bankruptcies are at least partly the result of medical expenses. The typical elderly couple may have to save nearly $300,000 to pay for health costs not covered by Medicare alone. Learn more: http://www.healthreform.gov/reports/inaction
Diminishing Access to Care: From 2000 to 2007, the proportion of non-elderly Americans covered by employer-based health insurance fell from 66% to 61%. An estimated 87 million people – one in every three Americans under the age of 65 – were uninsured at some point in 2007 and 2008. More than 80% of the uninsured are in working families. Learn more: http://www.healthreform.gov/reports/inaction/diminishing/index.html
The Trends are Troubling: Without reform, health care costs will continue to skyrocket unabated, putting unbearable strain on families, businesses, and state and federal government budgets. Perhaps the most visible sign of the need for health care reform is the 46 million Americans currently without health insurance – projections suggest that this number will rise to about 72 million in 2040 in the absence of reform. I hear from the Current Sham Government on the first of every month by Direct Deposit. My pension check and they can’t get their filthy hands on it except for Federal withholding.

With the Current Congress spending like drunken sailors I view it as taxation without representation but 2010 is coming and not soon enough.

I have zero contact with the White House. They can’t run cash for clunkers let alone a cattle ranch. They can mind their own damn business. I budget My Money. They waste OPM. Other Peoples Money. I can’t save the planet or change the climate. They can bring the DNC leadership up for a quail hunt though. Dick Cheyney and I can show them a good time.

From one of the spams:

“the Republicans are doing everything they can to keep this debate from being about the real facts on health care reform.”

Oh, that’s some choice derangement right there.

Does this crap work? At all? On anyone?

They should be called “Spasms” instead of “Spams”. (Like “Death Spasms”.)

Is it possible that someone else signed you up as a prank? All they would need is your email address. And did you continue to receive these emails after you clicked “unsubscribe”? Heck, I actually signed up, and sometimes think I get too much!

–Is it possible someone signed you up as a prank?
Answer – Highly unlikely, I have a very close circle of family and friends – the
kind that guards each other’s back.
–All they would need is your email address
Answer – Then why did the salutation include my formal name?
–Did you continue to receive these emails after you clicked Unsubscribe?
Answer: yes and yes. I started to just discard but after two rather revolting
emails from Nancy Pelosi and James Carville, I tried to unsubscribe.

I have contacted FOX News as well as my Republican Senator to ask why I cannot unsubscribe.

As I started to receive the DCCC letters first — my hunch is the White House got the email/info list from the Democrat’s DCCC. I have emailed my Democrat Congressman and one D Senator as I have for years — so perhaps this is the original source. (DCCC=Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee)

One of my elderly neighbors (77), also receiving this spam, relayed she only uses the internet for emailing her family and friends. The only time she gave out personal information, through the internet, was to her internet provider and AARP — of which she had cancelled in May and then started to receive the spam…she is worried AARP gave her information because she cancelled membership.

The bottom line is — Cary,
Would you have been as forgiving if you were barraged with unwanted/unsolicited email by George W Bush and the Republican Congressional Campaign Committee???

I also never signed up, but I did e-mail my complaints to the whitehouse. They operate just as the dems in NJ do. If you complain, they ignore your complaint completely and then insult you by putting you on their mailing lists….and act like you are one of them. What else can be expected from a president who has as his first option under “subject” the term “message of support” if a citizen wants to send a message.

@American Voter:

The bottom line is — Cary,
Would you have been as forgiving if you were barraged with unwanted/unsolicited email by George W Bush and the Republican Congressional Campaign Committee???

Not only would I have been forgiving, but I would have been delighted. After feeling ignored by the previous administration, without so much as even an acknowledgment of receipt of any of my correspondence, anything from them would have been welcome. I wouldn’t have to agree in order to feel like I mattered.

I know it’s not personal, but I grow weary of this spam filter.

Nothing I can do….If I take it out we would have two hundred spam comments within an hour so it’s not going anywhere.

@Curt:

I totally understand. Thanks Curt.

File that under “Know Your Enemy” I read Das Kapital 40 years ago. Getting a straight answer from Obama is laughable unless he was dosed up with Sodium Pentathol.
No thanks.

This is from the other day…comment on White House spaming activity.

Karl Rove: If I Politicized White House The Way Obama Has, I’d Be Burned At The Stake

@ Ed from Organizing for America or who ever submitted the invitation.
As this is an exchange of ideas I respect the polite, professional invitation as posted above:

———————————————
“This is an incredible opportunity to huddle with the President, ask questions, and discuss how we’re going to pass real health insurance reform this year.”
———————————————

However, it seems the Obama administration doesn’t seem to want to hear from others/we should only listening to Obama speak…latest example – The Insurance Companies – now under questionable scrutiny by Waxmann…If the government is threatening to be in competition with them, is it ethical for them to be forced to reveal all their proprietary information?

New, next target– the CEO of Whole Foods…my goodness…is Obama going to target/demonize over 50% of the American people — who disagree with him?

Whole Foods CEO disagreed with some aspects of the Obama Health Care Plan — as presented to America in HR 3200… AND in exchange offered some new ideas/solutions as fuel for thought/debate…

Now he is being demonized for speaking up — and Whole Foods “boycotted.”

Do you know what Whole Foods is all about? The participation in donations, charity work, outstanding treatment of customers/employees, conscious supply from overly scrutinized food sources…and always supported more liberal candidates and agendas.

Ed, or who ever posted the invitation….why would we want to “huddle” with Obama when it appears that anyone that speaks up — in any forum, format, or of any societal position — they are demonized. Why would we even want to subject ourself to join a forum with this going on in our country??? In Obama/Minion’s opinions — is the First Amendment dead?

Ed – please pass on…After work tonight, we went out of our way to go to Whole Foods to obtain groceries. We drove to a Whole Foods in a neighboring, very liberal university community and you should know, the parking lot and the store were packed!!!!

Thank you for the invitation — but I am leary of the term “huddle” as enacted by this administration.

PS…Ed would you please fill in Mr Obama on the history of NASCAR and “the sands of Daytona?”

I wonder why, me being a conservative, was getting e-mails form Axelrod ??

I made the huge mistake of signing a petition on change.org. Now I’m getting spammed by the dccc. I have spent all week trying to get unsubscribed from spam emails from dccc@dccc.org. I warned them if they didn’t stop, that they would be sorry. I hit my limit today. I have spent the past 5 hours placing their email address on every religious and republican site I can find. So far, I have gotten them on about 60 different email lists. I also put in the address and phone number from their website on the different lists too, so they will be getting phone calls and snail mail. It doesn’t stop the spam – but makes me feel a whole lot better that they might just get a taste of their own medicine.
