Six Fingered Left Just Can’t Juggle Anymore

There’s trouble brewing. The Hill and the WH are not on the same page. Pelosi and Reid fooled Obama into wasting his post-election political capital on a fake stimulus plan that was just pork spending and political kickbacks to unions etc. They also convinced him (as Senator, Pres elect, AND as President!) that just giving money away to banks was a good idea that Congress would keep Oh-so-close-an-eye on. Yeah, that TARP was a TRILLION dollars well spent, right? They also convinced him to just go ahead and sign the 9000 budget they forged (though he was a Senator then President-elect and did help write it), as long as he signed it in secret w/out cameras. Meanwhile, Pelosi (who became Speaker of the House three years ago in 2006 under the promises to end the war in Iraq, stop deficit spending, and end a culture of corruption) personally used the FISA domestic spying program to catch another Democrat haggling w Israeli lobbyists to get her a seat on the intelligence committee (brilliant in particular because members of the committee knew about the FISA program, and knew such calls were being monitored). Pelosi did nothing. Harry Reid as well knew that one of the members on committee steered pork spending programs (which Obama approved) towards her husband’s business (again, brilliant). Reid did nothing.

DISTRACTION
Meanwhile, President Obama (true to the tactic used by Dems since 911) tried to deflect criticism from his political base. As usual, they went after President Bush. Obama released a cherry-picked collection of documents and an investigation from the Democrat-controlled Armed Services Committee saying that President Bush tortured people. Unfortunately, even his own Director of National Intelligence and a long list of former CIA chiefs all agreed that the torture worked, and most agreed it was the only way to save American lives. Pelosi and Reid (also being criticized from their base for their obvious failures) also needed to distract, and so they jumped in w the base and railed about how bad it was to torture the guy who masterminded the 911 attacks (that’s so stupid it’s almost an oxymoron). Morons that they are, Pelosi and Reid didn’t realize that their power now gets looked at in a different way, and as soon as calls went out for the various intelligence committees to launch hearings and an investigation….they brought the spotlights and flashbulbs on to those scandals. Quickly, everyone on The Hill stopped calling for hearings in an attempt to hide from the flashbulbs, but the Obama admin didn’t get the memo, and started dancing with the idea of indictments (which means getting activist judges involved, hearings, trials, and so forth.

What is very clear is that we’ve forgotten the nature of the Democratic Party. It is a party that
1) seeks power based on its own perceived lack of power inherent to the idea that it is a coalition of oppressed minority groups and causes; ie even with near total, dictatorial power they are still in “opposition party” mindset
2) because it’s a coalition of groups and causes, it doesn’t know it’s left hand from it’s lefter hand
3) the power in the party comes from 6 sources: the White House, the Senate, the House, the traditional media, unions, and mega-money banks/corporations.

In other words, no one is in control, all 6 want their mojo, and they keep bumping into each other. The consequence? If they don’t work together, then nothing gets done, no one gets anything, and they are increasingly ripe for losing their power to even the smallest of Republican challenges.

Yesterday I read an article that said the Democrats-particularly Obama-really wouldn’t face any blowback for anything unless unemployment were at 12% in 6 months. The writer seemed to think that was outta bounds. He was a fool who wasn’t watching the unemployment chart, who had no idea that later in the day GM would announce it was closing its factories for the summer, or that the F-22 program was being shut down (there’s 100000 jobs thrown on the trash heap), or that nationalized/universal healthcare meant killing as many as 2000000 medical industry jobs.

There’s a reckoning coming, and it’s not coming from a specific Republican leader, group, or cause. Nah, Republicans are content to make popcorn and watch the left eat itself and be eaten by the independent, centrist, RINO/DINO people who determine elections and who were so massively distracted and misled by the left for so long.

Fasten seat belts. The coaster is cresting the first hill and about to go down that first big hill…to which there is only one end:

an end to their ride.

I like your optimism Scott. But I worry that many of those same folks are still sleeping away while the Obama media continues to tell them how great “The One” is.

When you have a “news” media that spends more time discussing what Michelle Obama wore during her first trip to Europe than it does about the lack of any progress obtained by her husband then you know that the voters who occupy the mushy middle ground aren’t being informed.

The dynamic is changing, but it is happening only very slowly and Obama still seems quite able to keep ahead of the pack:

We’re not even AT day 100 yet. I don’t think this is slow. Not when there’s 1400+ days till he is up for re-election

if obama is re-elcted i will be shocked. he is showing how inept he is and the way the top dems are running around like chickens with their heads cut off ddrunk with power is only making him look worse. you almost havet o wonder if they ar setting obama up for a fall from grace, but i can’t see them having the brains to pull one over on the golden boy. this is an interesting mess and i am watching it, i am also worried that obama and his bubbies will screw it up worse.
