Been a while since I have posted here. Been a busy year so far, but another reason I have not posted is that, unlike the truly dedicated conservatives here, I find myself demoralized by the continuing events in which the country has given the Democrats free ‘reign’ to do as they please. It appears that is exactly what is happening on the grandest scale seen to man. We have a spending bill, er, ‘stimulus’ bill approaching 1 trillion dollars of which it has been explained by conservatives that about 25% would qualify as a ‘stimulus’, and the approximately 75% remaining is simply pork garbage on a surreal scale not even the most jaded politicians could ever hope to bite into. The ‘newspeak’ of Obama is already well on its way.
With such figures of colossal magnitude will someone please tell me just How that figure was arrived at? Do any of these cretins in Washington have any real understanding of what even one billion dollars entails? We were told that we would have to absolutely scrape to pay for the war in Iraq, now the politicians are putting out a spending bill in excess of Both the war in Afghanistan and Iraq combined. No, none of these ‘representatives’ or ‘senators’ has any grasp, the 1 trillion is simply a ‘figure’ that once approved gives those presently in power carte blanche to hold onto that power as tightly as possible in the succeeding years.
Where is this money going to come from? We have the specter of social security and medicare/medicade ready to hit the skids in a few years creating a further ‘crisis’ that is apparently going to blindside this country as did the present banking and economic crisis. That is to say, if another crisis doesn’t hit us first. ‘Blindsiding’ of the present crisis is probably the wrong term to use as I suspect that there were plenty in the Democratic party who knew exactly when this would happen and pulled the strings to make it so. This was the nail in the coffin of the McCain campaign.
But again, where is this money going to come from? From the simple click of a computer key magically putting this money into the economy or what? Raising taxes, no doubt. Look at taxes, for instance. Look at Joe the Plumber out there struggling to make his date with April 15, kicking in (with a little screaming) his ‘fair share’. Cannot one just feel the frustration and resentment that he, you, everyone, and I feels when we see such monstrous take-a-way then give-a way of our livelihood by Washington fat-cats under the guise that they ‘can make things better for us?’ “From each according to his ability, to each according to his need.” Old Karl is spinning in his grave with happiness.
We, this country, deserve exactly what it is getting and going to get. Apparently the decided majority of the electorate woke up on Election Day and made the decision that they are socialists exactly like the government and voted accordingly. I hope those that stayed home are hit twice as hard by the present crisis. Notwithstanding, this election, was a historical turning point, not only that we elected a mulatto/muslim as president, with no surety that he was even born in this country, but also that in wholly ignoring his past policies, and his various promises, and what they entailed, has sent us over the top and into what appears as a screaming downslide.
Nothing to do but watch it happen. We are in a minority, boys and girls, and with the billions being given to the Democrats, you can bet that the next election we will be even more in the minority as the Democrats buy up, and add onto, their voting bloc.
Truly historical. Democrats are truly in the drivers seat and the spineless Republicans will capitulate, just watch.
Hell, I’d settle for them to specifically list/name the jobs that will be created, how long those jobs will last, pay, etc.

You should know that the majority of this nation… including many who call themselves (and voted) Democrats do *not* want socialism.
The problem was they never believed Obama was a socialist at heart because they don’t equate government expansion and increased social welfare programs as “socialism”. Or, for you hypersensitive out there, “Euro-socialist”.
You should give yourself a smile and have a good look at the nation’s opinion on this spending spree. The more they learn, the more dissatisfied they are. You’ll find the majority of both sides of the political aisle range from extreme skepticism and distrust, to absolute frothing at the bit.
Granted, this will not stop a stubborn and egotistical Congress who feels they know better. They will do what they want, and what they slap on Obama’s desk, he’ll sign without question. This, however, will not play well in the long run. This crap sounds so good in sound bytes, but… as history proves… doesn’t translate well to reality.
For the first time in a decade, the GOP has exhibited *some* spine by making it known they are going into this kicking, screaming, biting and fighting. For now, since they have no representative power to stop anything (and the Dems/Obama need them to share the blame when da sheeeeet hits the fan), they need to make their protests known publicly, and give the DNC the rope they need to hang themselves.
We’ve survived bad leadership before. We will survive it again. As both McCain (first, and publicly chastised) and Obama (second, and heralded as brillant) have said, the foundations of this economy… meaning the US worker, their ambitions and dreams… remain strong. And we will surmount a fiscally irresponsible Congress in the end.
I’m going to ask you the same set of questions I asked Scott, on another thread:
Point of clarification. You referred to this as a trillion dollar “spending” bill, when the House version “only” has $350 billion in spending and the Senate version $390 billion in spending. The rest is tax cuts and I thought that Republicans are supposed to like tax cuts.
As I’ve stated before, I don’t like anything which increases debt, whether spending or tax cuts. But all the talk on this blog has been entirely misleading.
Basically, Bush cut taxes by a trillion dollars and has spent over $500 billion in Iraq (with multiples of that down the road, to follow). I maintain that Iraq did nothing at all to protect us from biological or nuclear WMD, which, according to assessments by the outgoing Bush administration, are the greatest threats to our security.
So here, we’ve got:
1. Bush. Trillion dollars in tax cuts; $500 billion (and growing to 2 to 3 trillion) on Iraq.
2. Obama. $400 billion in tax cuts. $370 billion in spending on infrastructure, education, health, and green energy.
Why precisely, is Bush a genius and Obama a fool?

Is that directed at me, Larry? Well, if you have the specifics on a 400 plus (or is it 700 plus) page bill that hasn’t been released to the public yet, then you’re ahead of me.
I consider Iraq a worthy expense in the interest of our national security. You don’t. We shall never agree on that point. But if there is one spending by the feds I don’t mind, it’s our defense spending.
As for the allocation of funds, when, and just what jobs… temporary and/or permanent… that are to be created, we just don’t have those answers yet. And while you may trust media pundits, I don’t. What I have heard is that many of the permanent jobs created are government jobs. And I am adamantly against increasing the size of what is already an inefficient, money wasting behemoth.
And I don’t suppose you have included the funding Obama’s already incurred by his other actions (EOs and bills, including the int’l funding for abortions and SCHIPS) in your calculations, have you?
The tax cuts under Bush were not the cause of this economic decline, and more than likely made a bad situation from being much worse. And I don’t know how Obama’s tax cuts are constructed… ie are they tax credits or tax cuts? You read that bill? Considering your personal time constraints… I doubt it.
I never said Bush was a “genius”, nor have I called Obama a “fool”. Bush was far more liberal in his domestic spending than I liked. What I most specifically liked about him was his foreign policy.
Obama is beyond “liberal” in his domestic spending. He advocates big government, affirmative action policies and huge spending. He’s already increased the government size just with his administration and extra advisory panels. With an even more liberal Pelosi and Reid at his back, what these three can do to our economy staggers the mind.
Rest assured everything that is getting thrown out in this stimulus will reappear in a future bill… so that figure is going to get larger… and fast. They have a narrow opportunity to spend the treasury out of business before the midterms come along and the balance of power potentially changes.
Obama is no fool… but he’s dangerous for this economy. What he proposes will not work, and will not create permanent jobs. But sometimes people, who ignore history, must learn their lessons the hard way. Too bad their uneducated decisions affect the rest of us.
This may not be the final nail in the capitalist’s coffin but, with the New Deal and Great Society programs still serving US so well decades after their implementation, I can forge but a scant share of MataHarley’s optimism. I wish I had confidence that the future will be better, but at this point I can only HOPE it will be. Conservatism has suffered too much at the hands of the RINOs, and I am afraid the brand may be tarnished beyond redemption. We are about to deny our successor generations a significant portion of their freedom and liberty, without their assent (impossible to obtain), under the pretence that we are preventing the total collapse of the system so they can, at least, inherit something. ric

President Bush tax cuts did not hurt this economy. Spending at civilian level , easy credit, greed, and spending by congress , putting pork in all the military spending bills was an issue,Pres Bush was forced to sign these bills as to not delay them.
The big collapse was planned by the dems, Chris Dodd, Barney Frank, Schumer, Reid. These clowns covered for fannie and freddie, countrywide, while they cooked the books for all the Dem CEOs running these places for the last 7 years or so. Bush tried 17 diff. times to rein in these gov. controlled companies. The dems blocked all attemps because we never had a solid majority to bring a vote to the floor to regulate these institutions. Pres Bush should have got on tv like Reagan had done, and taken this to the people and made them aware. That is the only reason i am disappointed in him, he had the proof but would not let the people know what he knew , i feel he may have been too busy with the war. 2005 video of dem hearing on regulating fannie and freddie( is on u-tube.) We now have the leadership (loosely defined) we deserve. Somehow a right to be protected from our mistakes and failures has been created. People as a whole don’t want to do the hard work that freedom requires. If someone else promises to protect us at a cost of our liberty, too many of us will gladly drink the kool-aid.
The Republicans have sold us out. The only time they seem to act on any principles is when their actions are ineffective. Putting them back in power will only return them to the same spending habits that they displayed. Politicians will always serve their own interests first, we can only hope that these interests coincide with ours.
I hope that I am wrong but I feel that this country, as it was founded, is dead. We can blame everyone in Washington, but the truth is that we have put every one of them there. An elected official is convicted of breaking the law, which they helped write BTW, and this person gets returned to office. We don’t even hold them accountable for blatant conflicts of interest. Even if we could get some kind of law in place that would remove scofflaws from office, the courts would rule that it is somehow unconstitutional. Look at what they did to term limits.
We have created a monster that is out of control and will do anything that it takes to survive, no matter how many of us get trampled in the process.

You might read Ann Counters “Guilty”, I just finished it, it’s a very good read, and she goes into this to some length on how liberals like to call it what it ain’t. Socialism is socialism, no matter the self-deception of the general fancy elitist boffins who call themselves and voted Democratic. The voted for it and will get a supreme taste of it regardless. I’m sure you had your tongue tightly in cheek when you wrote that.
What’s so mysterious about the $1 trillion? Obama had already told the electorate who put him in office what his plans were in general. Of course, he never gave anyone an idea how much it was/is going to cost as he didn’t have a clue either. Why extreme skepticism and distrust, to absolute frothing at the bit? We already had Paulson wanting $700 billion before Bush even vacated. Such dramatics from those who suddenly have been jostled out of their individual trances for “The One”. They are now seeing what they refused to see before they elected the anointed, and this simply reinforces the fact that most of the country had no clue whom they were voting for.
I agree, that doesn’t translate well to reality, but then again, exactly how much can this country tolerate? We are being bought up by foreign internationalists and rich sheiks at bargain basement prices. Although they are crying about their losses, their problem is exactly like Congress: they NEVER expect the spigot to dry up.

Just to clarify, Bush is no longer Prez. I know, I know, it’s easy to use the “it’s the previous administration’s fault mantra.” But I digress.
So, here we are, so eager to spend, spend, spend. We’re ready to spend on pork, pet projects, welfare programs, more bridges, etc.,. I would feel a lot better if the money actually went into the people’s pockets where THEY would determine the money goes. How about spending on developing nuclear power plants (just like the Swedes who have amazingly seen the light) or that new gas pipeline. The kind of stuff that generates a product (energy) the world wants and will pay for. Nahhhh, makes too much sense. Instead, we’ll be tilting at windmills and acting like a 3rd-world country.
Once the bridge gets built, and the welfare projects distributed, can anyone tell me the long-term revenue generations this will cause (other than maintenance costs and more dependance on government).

It has taken me almost 5 years to fit all of the pieces together from George Soros’ Shadow Party, to other pieces like Hillary Clinton, Saul Alinsky, Peter Lewis, Arianna Huffington, etc… The last dot (at least in terms of “what’s happening here”), finally got connected for me when Obama hit the public spotlight.
I have an uncanny aptitude for let’s say, “Picking winners and losers”, at least in terms of being the right stuff/character for the job. I could tell you a million reasons why, from day one, I knew Obama was not only a phony, but a very dangerous man. Having once been a big Hillary fan (I voted for Bill first term), I was at one time intrigued by “all things Hillary”, including her thesis. Consequently, I knew the Alinsky playbook (Rules for Radicals) probably a little too well, right down to its dedication to Satan, “the greatest radical of all times.” Consequently, watching Obama , is like watching a rerun of a bad movie.
In trying not to get too long winded, the bottom line is Soros is the mastermind and big money man behind it all, Mr. “regime change” extraordinaire (by his own admission helped in Croatia, Georgia, and Slovakia) I’ve been studying that man for the last decade, and suggest more Americans wake up to his perils. For starters, he almost destroyed England. He always starts with the creation of the shadow government, of which “our Hillary” is a member.

Larry W you might find it to be an interesting read being that you keep telling us that Obama is going to the center. Read Nancy’s piece and you will understand why it won’t even be necessary for him to do so.
Lastly, and this is just my own opinion, I believe the entire financial crisis was CREATED, CREATED FOR THE “NECESSARY” CRISIS, albeit not all involved of course “in the know.” Let’s not forget Mr. Hedge fund himself, George Soros. If anyone knows how to create a perfect storm, it’s George! By the way, the reason for the “urgency” is, as more start to connect the dots, the less chance of the “plan” getting passed.
Without question America awaits at the crossroad of the America we will leave to the next generation. We can debate economic strategies and policies for the next four years, but in reality, we would be wise to recognize that the root cause of our “crisis” is a moral one. Honest men don’t make bad loans, short stocks to break the banks, or put the fox in charge of the hen house!

I disagree with you there Steve. Even us strong conservatives are demoralized by this train wreck. But we can say WE TOLD YOU SO!
The funny thing is that economic cycles being what they are the economy is likely to begin recoverl before the 2010 election no matter what we do. If that does happen you can count on the big government enablers to claim this hogzilla bill did the trick. Either way, this new spending will make $4trillion annual budgets the baseline for all future budgets.

Socailaist Jigsaw Puzzle: America Beyond the Crossroads

While serving in Navy Intelligence from 1958-1967, I learned that gathering intelligence is like putting together a jigsaw puzzle. But you cannot focus on a single piece or a single section of the puzzle, but must focus on many events (pieces) that at first glance have no place in the overall picture.
I outlined in a previous post: America In Peril, the pieces, and seemingly unrelated events of history and Obama’s past associations that have led us to this point.
Other pieces and events are now falling in place.
Without going into details i will outline a few of them. The Nationalization of all aspects of American commerce has now begun, with the first bail out and this so called Stimulus Plan which is being pushed as extremely urgent.
Meanwhile, Mexico is on the verge of collapse due to the power and violence of the drug cartels, and we will soon have even more massive amounts of illegal drugs flooding the US.
Obama’s puppet master, George Soros is working behind the scenes to buy up all the farm land he can get his hands on, worldwide. He is also working to gain control of the Afghanistan Opium trade.
With Soro’s taking out of production massive amounts of farm land to create a food shortage, and the influx of drugs into this country, The provisions of the Biden Crime Bill can be implemented.
The reason for Obama’s near panic about the Stimulus plan is that all of this must happen before the next elections. By then he must have created such a dire crisis, and the lawlessness that will follow with the drugs entering the US and the “created” food shortage, he will no longer be a dictator wannabe, he will be a dictator. And because of the provisions of the Biden Crime Bill, Congress cannot even review his actions for six months.

To go there, one has to accept that Obama and quiet supporters are actively planning an economic revolution behind the scenes in order to take over the country and eliminate Constitutional mandates INRE Presidential terms. I’m not sure I’m that deep into subversive intents. Mind you, I have always believed, and continue to believe, that Obama is a Marxist/socialist in his policies. I have been a major voice on record with these opinions. That hasn’t changed.
But neither do I believe Obama’s quest for a social welfare government utopia is grounded in a desire for ultimate dictatorship. Instead of believing Obama’s economic decisions are grounded in his stubborn refusal to recognize a socialist model has never succeeded in anything but disaster historically, you are asking me to believe Obama is *purposely* and *deliberately* engineering ultimate economic failure of the US in order to seize permanent power.
In other words, you are saying Obama is quietly leading a non-violent revolution to take over permanent dictatorship power.
Yes yes… I know this is a Communist playbook tactic. But that is far more sinister pronouncement than I believe at this time. I don’t like the man, nor his government “cures”. But I’m sure not ready to put him in the category of a revolutionary rebel leader, thirsty for a despotic job for life.
I’m not discarding your theory to this extent entirely. Anything is possible, and occurs when your eyes are averted. But I think if what you say is true, his motives and desires will become readily apparent. And even then, I see no way for them to succeed.
The reason I doubt your theory of Obama’s personal goals is precisely what you say in because of your below comment included:
What you suggest does not work for Obama and the Democrats. It works *against* them. If by midterms Obama creates “such a dire crisis” and “lawlessness”, the pendulum of the power balance in Congress will swing again… as it has traditionally done many times before. The voting public has little taste for failure. And even the most devoted will only take so much of Obama saying “it’s going to get worse before it gets better” after having that length of time to turn things around.
Unless Obama plans on consummating seizing control of the country by Executive Order, there is no way any chamber held by Republicans will allow anything to his desk that perpetuates that goal. Obama is absolutely a progressive-Euro-socialist. He, however, is not a stupid man.
And if the Republicans even considering aiding such a violation of our trust and dismantling of this nation, we’re dead meat anyway… no matter who sits in the Oval Office.
Also, about this last sentence in your same above quoted paragraph:
Can you provide a link to just which “Biden Crime Bill” prohibits any oversight by Congress for six months? There was the original 1994 one, called the Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act. I see some references to a 2007 “Biden Crime Bill”, but see nothing enacted that originated in the 110th Congressional Senate that either revises the original Violent Crime Control act, nor seems related.
I would appreciate if you point out the (which ever) bill, and the bill text that forms your Congressional oversight statement for me… and just how this links to Obama achieving dictatorship status in your analyses.

Am doing my best. Back got in such bad shape, bout the only comfortable position is flat of my back, surgery is out because of condition of my heart. Designed and got perscription for a back brace, but couldn’t get the brace co. to build. so built it myself, and am able to be up longer.

I understand the economic cycles, and I certainly hope you are correct, we will have to wait somewhere down the road as The Messiah gets into the policies he and his radical cohorts have prepared but unable to implement due to the present crisis. That may actually be a blessing in disguise if one wants to look at the glass as half-full.
We also have to remember the untold ramifications of interest payments to the controlling banks, banks controlled by internationalists who certainly are not beholden to the United States. The bigger the deficit and the more ‘borrowed’, we give up more and more pieces of ourselves.

Great post Marion! Your most salient point is indeed the fact that there are many pieces to this puzzle. As I posted earlier, it took me 5 years to connect all the dots. Obama may be the puppet in office, but he is only a small piece (the closer) to the big “Soros takeover.” Furthermore, Obama was “groomed for the position.” I don’t even believe he wrote his books.
There’s nothing you wrote that I don’t agree with Marion, although it’s an enigma to me that even most conservative writers don’t seem to “get” how close Mexico actually is to total collaspe. The Mexico nightmare soon to happen gives new meaning to that obscure news article (reported in MSM) a few months back. It reported that America will have 20,000 ground troops INSIDE THE US by I think 2011. I have it saved in my hard drive somewhere if anyone can’t find it on their own. Last week I read an article (again in the MSM) authorizing “detention camps” in America.
To all of you who think this is just another economic cycle waiting to play out, I couldn’t disagree more. This is a created crisis for the most part, and unfortunately, the powers at play not only have no interest in recovery, the “goal” IS to take us to the bread lines. The end game is regime change, plain and simple. Even if you don’t want to believe me, look at what is actually IN the “pork, welfare, disguised socialized medicine ‘stimulus’ plan.
Lastly and of most importance, we are dealing with evil in it’s purest form. Sadly, most American’s can no longer recognize real evil, even when it’s straight from the gates of hell! The good news, we still have time, until Tuesday, for WE THE PEOPLE to rise up, especially the folks up in Maine where the deciding (R) votes are likely to come from, and say NO WE CAN’T.

Read every word of the post “America In Peril”…I have shown that in a “crisis” Obama can by implementing the Provisions of the Biden Crime Act, And the Executive Orders already in place, especially Executive Order 11049 (typo in the post it is shown as 11490), which consolidates 21 Executive Orders. I believe most conservatives would agree with you there and I believe that Obama’s present desire is not grounded in a desire for ultimate dictatorship. You have to focus, however, on the fact that Obama really lives in a fantasy world, at least as that he revealed in his “Dream’s Of My Father” farce.
So, I just keep a close watch for myself. Those who still embrace the philosophy of Marx believe that the ideal macrocosm must be in existence for socialism to work and succeed. They believe it failed in Russia only because the rest of the world did not follow along. They totally fail to get the idea that ultimately it fails because of a human spirit that rebels at ‘take my bread earned by the sweat off my brow and divide it up between sloths’. Marion, I did read your America in Peril post. There was nothing new there that I haven’t seen in multiple separate places… the reading of the goals into the Congressional Record in 1963, etal. You’re still banking on Obama’s personal goal to seize control of the US to assume ultimate power. And you derive this from his New Party associations and friends, including Frank Marshall Davis. Everything you mentioned, we have blogged on here (including myself) at FA. There is no further “enlightenment” but that you are pulling together alot of events, associations and legal laws and powers to come up with the idea that Obama is bent on being a despot.
I don’t need to “google” to learn about the Biden Crime Bill. I was aware of both… altho neither carry that name officially. When anyone tells me that this is what a bill states, I look up text of laws on Thomas, or of the proposed bills and their history to enactment on GovTrack. What I asked you was which “Biden Crime Bill” you were talking about so I could read the appropriate text from the enacted law… not just your synopisis. I still never got any text excerpts from the law that relates to what you said.
I might remind you that you stated “because of the provisions of the Biden Crime Bill, Congress cannot even review his actions for six months.” This, I think you realize, is incorrect since what you are referring to is an EO utilized via Carter’s consolidation of FEMA powers, set into motion if a President declared martial law over the nation.
What you suggest is that Obama is on track to declare martial law over the nation. I sure hate to borrow a Hillary resurrection of an old philosohical statement, but this does require “the willing suspension of disbelief”. As I said, I am… and will remain… highly vigilant of Obama’s foreign policy, and remain skeptical of his proposals to correct the economy. In fact, I’m not even sure I like the man personally, as he evokes images of a Ferrari used car salesman with slick delivery and silky smooth double talk.
But I’m still not in that camp that Obama’s planning a revolution to seize ultimate power by using Congressional laws created post Constitution and Bill of Rights.
I have to agree completely with Steve #29 that your suggestion is “likely farfetched”, and that I, too, am far more worried about Congress than Obama himself.
Despite all these inane laws concocted by idiot Congresses over the years, none of these usurp the heart of the Constitution created by the Framers. I don’t care if Congress can or cannot review whether a Presidential declaration of martial law is justified. This nation … despite our political differences… are not apt to be herded into martial law quietly. And I suspect that any event like that, short of a full scale invasion of our land, is likely to be met by armed citizens of all political stripes equally.
To accomplish this, Obama would need the absolute cooperation of both the Guard and the military. I don’t even see that happening. Neither are trained, nor of the mind, to put US citizens in their crosshairs just because a CIC orders it. In short, we would not go quietly into that night at such a bold attempt to seize power.
So yes, I see how you piece events together to state it’s possibility via law and powers. But no… disagree that it would either be easy, or accepted without wild outcry by all. And last, I still disagree that this is Obama’s plan.

Thrifty food plan: First month beginning no more than 25 days after signing, increase cost by 85%, then by 12% per month through Sep 2011. So assuming the bill passes in Feb and enactment begins March 2009. Starting then with March and going through Sept 2011 gives around 19 months +/- 1 month. There are provisions to increase cost (not benefits, mind you) by 12% each month.
Final cost=initial cost*(1.85*1.12^19)
Final cost = initial cost * 15.9 (1590 percent!)
If I am reading and calculating properly, the cost of the program is expected (planned/required?) to not just double in less than two years (which would be bad enough)but increase 16 fold!?
Say it ain’t so, someone. Am I missing something, or is this just one example of pork on mega-steroids?

At this point Obama’s “strongly approve” ratings are now down at 38%, and has been below 40% for four straight days. That’s why he’s back in campaign/townhall mode, trying to drum up support for this BS pork.

The global elites, the greens, the global warming crowd, those obsessed with the alleged, earth crises are strange bed fellows and slimy parts of the alien monster working against our country! These people really do have a plot to control our country and world. When you dig further and really study the beliefs, people and behavior of these seemingly unrelated groups and efforts, you see classic socialism/communism. We should be screaming against these groups and movements not talking!
The truth if I may
There is no desperate concern for Mother earth! There is no emergency about animals, special insects and plants disappearing! There are no Polar bears dying because of a wave of warm water flying by. There is however, obsession for power and control. There is major money to indoctrinate our children’s minds towards, green, global and international thinking. There is almost criminalization of being an American and of learning and celebrating our real history! It is becoming more and more selfish to achieve. Think of all the energy, money and efforts you use to invent or achieve something? Someone else doesn’t get something simply because you created something to solve a major problem, create jobs or entertain the world. Shame.
Kids and adults are learning from kindergarten on up these days that we must focus on “sustainability.” We must focus on the endless suffering of others…. especially outside our borders, while avoiding that selfish thing called achievement. I remember when I lived in Japan for a while many years ago the saying on many school walls “pound down the nail that stands up.” After all, you don’t want to really excel and leave your mates behind to be embarrassed.
I just interviewed, this week Holly Swanson, author of Set up and sold out, who warned of the extreme control agenda of the greens and conquest to indoctrinate our children. In one of her articles with newswithviews.com she quoted Anthony Cortese, President of Second Nature, one of the key groups pushing for education for Sustainability. “And humans are guided by a whole set of beliefs and values, and those come from culture, from religion, from social, economic, and political structure. We need to change all of those.” Swanson said that the Greens are using our education system as simply a TOOL to make our children adapt to NEW goals that will change America……once again, a perverted obsession with internationalism; a new religion; a new and global political structure; and training to use up to 75% less resources, no doubt including water and food.

Demonization of sovereignty, land ownership, freedom and even control of our life style, choices of what we eat and drink are the precious goals in these group’s bulls eye. Many of us are too busy living, struggling with bills and life to really notice the overall push taking huge pot shots at our freedoms.
In related attempts at control are the environmental psychos going after land grabs. They cry at the feet of Mother earth, wet lands, clean water acts, save the animals, etc. Among many are the Huge BLM NCLS land grab;Yukon to Yellowstone land grab; and HR 2421 Clean Water Act (Wetlands). There are many more bills and attempts in the planning. I have interviewed many times land rights activist and leader Chuck Cushman, landrights.org and he lists on his web site the many bills and attempts at land grabs all across our country, all using manipulative tools, potential eminent domain and more slippery strategies. We are talking many millions of acres which is including the renewed push again for the Y2Y/Yellowstone land grab oh yeah….right where I live. If this or any of these nightmare land grabs get through, you would see new rules about how land was to be used, new fees or controls on hunters, on other sportsman, businesses and farmers.
The false religion of globalism and environmentalism is simply the age old effort and push for socialism/communism. On the surface, hoping to fool the naïve and needing to please, sheep in America are the cries to deal with a land crises, animals going extinct, carbon emissions destroying the atmosphere and creating dreaded pollution. Then there are the little kiddies simply starving around the world. Their hopes are through lying propaganda, indoctrination in our schools, entertainment and speeches that you will feel like and evil jerk for not focusing on the earth, other countries and the feelings of snails.
New Idiot laws and rules for this environmentally, green and global world:
* The international goal is to keep us all barely alive, use less energy and eat less food.
* Stop carbon emissions by bankrupting our coal industry.
* Force new fees for just the privilege of driving cars that hurt the environment and aren’t hybrids. Some wackoid groups are already considering a tax for drivers driving through heavy congestion areas in big cities.
* Control and stop achievement by litigating, taxing and regulating inventers and achievers out of business. After all, achieving and freedom is too threatening to the lazy masses and to Government domination.
* Tax all animals on farms due to the lying obsession again with carbon emissions.
* Bankrupt more farmers and control the rest, what they grow and don’t grow.
The pathetic and sad truth is, that the more we allow these globalist/greens to take over land and rights, we will appear more and more like a sick socialist whore, marching toward the 3rd world in look, style and finance rather than bringing the struggling world up to our level. Oh my…..that was hate and arrogant speech wasn’t it?
The truth was and always has been, that America is far from perfect and has worked through many mistakes, but IT HAS BEEN OUR ENTREPENUERIAL SPIRIT, OUR WEALTH, OUR COMPASSION AND GOODNESS, OUR ACHIEVEMENT, LOVE FOR FREEDOM AND JUDEO/CHRISTIAN HERITAGE that has truly been a light on a hill; an encouragement and open door for the masses; offered new inventions, solutions and assistance to the world and even forgiven and rebuilt those who attacked us in previous wars.
Finally, it has always been and still is critical that we are sensitive to our environment and animals while reaching out to the rest of the world. The best way to achieve this is to continue to allow wealth, achievement, our innovative spirit, independence and to lift up our true spiritual core…….not Islam, not new age, not secularism, but our judeo/Christian values with backbone
Mata, I respect your point but not convinced Obama, who never misses a chance to remind us WHO makes the decisions, couldn’t pull it off. More likely, (if Obama is groomed and being used by the radical left as I suspect), you may well be correct in you assessment that he is just a Socialist/Marxist. What makes him so perfect for the takeover scenario is his ego; unable to entertain the possibility that he would be being used “beyond his own agenda.”

Can anyone enlighten me as to WHY (why as in why not the National Guard) we are going to be needing these troops inside US borders? Perhaps Bush ordered them knowing that Mexico is ready to blow, but my better guess is that a man of strong faith like Bush understands how, when God is removed, it’s “every man for himself.” It’s the reason Godless societies never survive; they self destruct. How much longer, especially if this “porkulus” bill passes, until the civil unrest in America takes to the streets?
We all watched in horror earlier this year when a Wal-Mart employee was trampled to death over a sale of flat screen TV’s. Can we even imagine the civil unrest as the economy worsens, and the “entitlements” so many Americans take for granted become no more? I think a lot about the article referenced above, wondering if George Bush, in his last effort to “look out for us”, ordered the US troops to protect us from ourselves!

Well panic, not, pdill. My house is always locked and loaded. Certainly you’d find me adamantly against any such move by Obama and/or Dems to do as you, Marion and (to a certain extent) Steve suggest.
And yes, I’m no spring chicken, so I too have watched as our education system incorporate notions and instruction that Bill Ayers espouses… glorifying socialism and Marxism. The trend did not just start, but has been a steady growth over decades. It’s not impossible to imagine a future generation of youth weened on socialist notions, voluntarily changing this nation to that model.
But I don’t believe that time is now.
The three balances of Dem power may talk about political capital, but they know the numbers are not vastly in their favor…. especially as we can already tell that all is not well in Obama’s prozac nation with the low approval numbers of Obama’s handling of Gitmo, the re’institution of the int’l abortion funding, and the continued dropping opinion of this so called stimulus that Rasmussen reports.
I’d say to you all, you should hope that I am correct in toning down your greatest fears, and putting more faith in the majority of the nation not willing to be dragged into despotic socialism. But also know that, if you are unfortunately correct, you will find me amongst the fighting force on your side.

What Mata is basically saying is that for all the presumed tenacity of Obama to try to consolidate government based upon the radical philosophy, he must have all the armed forces and even the national guard behind him. I do not see this as Ever happening. When we tip the balance towards Marxism/Socialism, it will be done by the very representatives we send to Washington who think it’s fine to have the socialistic power themselves, but bad when it’s invested in one man.
You guys give Obama credit for more power than he has, and even if he declared some ’emergency powers’ he will be laid on the carpet by the Secret Service before he can say “O-bam-a!” Like Mata stated these forces simply do not have it ingrained into themselves to take action Against American citizens, however, those “Domestic Security” troops Pdill noted do make me a little uneasy.
I recall some ‘counter-terrorism’ maneuvers in major US cities sometime last year, cannot fine any links, but there was discussion pertaining to that on other blogs.
Yeah, Mata, I don’t think the time is now. That macrocosm is not in place, but policies can certainly speed it up. Let’s hope those good old boy republicans correctly guage the current lay of the land and see that people are “mad and not going to take it any more” and stand up for that fiscal conservatism they claim is their/our religion.

Those to be tempered and held in check are the elected officials. And their free rein of power is limited. Poor performance results in change of hands and a more balanced Congress in just a couple of years. And they are ever on the road for poor performance already… faster, in fact, than I thought.

But they will do enough damage to hurt themselves for the midterm elections. This because they honestly believe the nation thinks like they do… that we all want to be welfare babies and senior citizens. BTW, on the increase in military within homeland security duties (they had some prior, but this increased the number to 20K). I have my healthy reservations, but don’t automatically see this as done in order to control the US masses and squelch our freedom.
Don’t forget that we have been exposed to both wide scale natural and terrorist disasters that can easily overwhelm local responders. If the fear of a dirty bomb does hit a US city, there is no doubt that more help for responders is in order. Some for aid, and some to protect them as they provide aid. They have been evaluating our abilities to respond large numbers of casualties since 911. The feds are damned if they do not prepare, and will be damned with the civil libertarians if they do as they point out the possibility of abuse.
Well, abuse is possible in every aspect of government. This is nothing new.
Again, this increase in domestic security comes down to a delicate balance between good planning for the worst, and abuse of that planning. But then, we have many checks and balances, and safeguards in place to detect that abuse. Even, occasionally, the media.
Considering the nature of the threat from the global Islamic jihad movement and their desire to kill the largest number of victims possible, I don’t consider this re’evaluation and increase for emergency response an unwise move. But again…. I remain a locked/loaded household in the event of abuse.
INRE the great fear of civil unrest, perhaps not so adeptly symbolized by pdill by referencing the Walmart holiday stampede, one might want to place that in the context of reality. We’ve had people trampled going into concerts as well. I’ve observed first hand thousands of people racing for the best spots in front of a stage. If someone fell, most would be unaware of it because they aren’t looking down. This event didn’t happen because everyone entering that store saw this employee down, and decided to ignore it. Most were totally unaware he was there. Being unaware of his plight was not a coldly deliberate and calculated event merely to purchase a TV on sale. That truly mischaracterizes what happened that morning.
Instead we might remember that 911 did not bring civil unrest, fear and chaos to the city. Instead, it brought out the best of the American citizen in aiding each other in times of trouble. Same with Katrina and other sundry natural disasters. When the going has gotten tough in America, the overwhelming majority have just risen to the challenges with grace and concern for others.

the clashes between those who want food, and those out of their minds on the illegal drugs that will soon flod this country and just want the next “fix” and are destroying everything they can will bring martial law.

Frankly, at this point, the kids at home aren’t crying for food. They’re whining for the latest iPOD or Wii release. Drugs are easily accessible for those inclined to take them. And that’s all walks of life and financial status, BTW. You make it sound like everyone is a wannabe junkie, just waiting for the flood of drugs that are already here to hit the market for a better price.

As far as I am concerned there is not much on TV that is worth wasting my time on…would rather read a good book.
Well, Marion… what you speak of is apocolypse times. And just so you know, Live and Let Die is an Ian Fleming 2nd book written in 1954, and didn’t come to the cinema until 1973. Naturally it is on TV today because of it’s age. However not watching “TV” is no excuse for knowing the Fleming villian was planning on releasing free heroin into the US in order to achieve his global control/mastermind goals. If you enjoy a “good book”, then I highly recommend the Fleming novels for entertaining reads.
Many libertarian conspiracy theories, BTW, are rooted in older sci-fi novels.
And it’s all good to visualize “future events”. But then again, remember that via other visuals, we were in the George Jetson era by now.
BTW, a Salvation Army will never be out of business as long as there is a human left willing to give of themselves. A stellar organization. And even in the apocolypse, there will always be some with “something” to give.

However a later book about Margaretha Zelle’s life by American academic Pat Shipman makes that case that she may not have been guilty and was, in fact betrayed.
I, however, have always been intrigued by “intrigue”. So being a political research junkie, combined with being scooter trash, I adopted this handle quite some years back. Add to that I have been known in the past to sneak into the “enemy’s camp” for a peek…. :0)
