Water bottle…woman fainting…and Barack Obama: What do these three things have in common?
A former fetus, the “wordsmith from nantucket” was born in Phoenix, Arizona in 1968. Adopted at birth, wordsmith grew up a military brat. He achieved his B.A. in English from the University of California, Los Angeles (graduating in the top 97% of his class), where he also competed rings for the UCLA mens gymnastics team. The events of 9/11 woke him from his political slumber and malaise. Currently a personal trainer and gymnastics coach.
The wordsmith has never been to Nantucket.
Yep, you missed some:

— Dinesh Sharma

“Obama’s finest speeches do not excite. They do not inform. They don’t even really inspire. They elevate. . . . He is not the Word made flesh, but the triumph of word over flesh . . . Obama is, at his best, able to call us back to our highest selves.”
— Ezra Klein

Oh, and this song:
OBama be thy name, thy change will come, thy will be done as it is in America.
I can’t make this crap up.
Almost want to be embarassed for them. It’s called Obamania for a reason.
Let’s see.
Mania n. 1. An inordinately intense desire or enthusiasm for something; craze…….check.
2. A manifestation of manic-depressive psychosis, characterized by profuse and rapidly changing ideas, exaggerated gaiety, and physical overactivity……….coming soon
3. Violent abnormal behavior…….make sure you keep your doors locked, avoid droolers.
@scaramouche:
Lol…I did link to one of the posts there for one of the quotes but was too lazy to poke around further.
Nabbed it in a previous post. Thanks for those, though.
Creepy! One wonders what will happen to these loons once Obama fails so badly that even the “news” media wont’ deny it?
Once the economy tanks completely and there is no more money left for payoffs to Democrat special interests will these loons still worship at the altar of Obama?
Once reality sets in will these people snap or just adjust?
The Cult of Obama just shows more and more manifestations.
I can’t believe that America has come to THIS!
this is also very freakin creepy. it is like watching jim jones and all of the other cult crap. what i don’t get is how so many people, millions, have fallen under this spell. how can so many of not fall for this stuff and so many others are lapping it up like awesome cream? i must be missing the freak cult member gene i guess, that or i actually have a brain that works part of the time to allow independent thought.
And, what a clod he is, so much for hard hitting journalism, no wonder.

Obama worship like this is way over the top, but it does illustrate what I believe to be a true, underlying phenomenon.
Many people in America are hungry for a real leader, in whom they can believe. They want a leader who can inspire Americans to sacrifice, if need be, for the good of the nation and for the good of their fellow Americans. The idea that all people who voted for Obama did so because they wanted a government handout isn’t correct. Some people voted for him because they wanted more from a leader than to declare war, while handing out lavish tax breaks to the wealthiest among us, borrowing the money to finance this war from our children, and admonishing the rest of us to go out and do our patriotic duty to shop.

Don’t forget the other media miracle: Oprah Winfrey “I believe he is The One.”
FYI Chesterton did not write the quote you used.

Thanks, Jim. You know, when I found the quote, I saw some allegations regarding it as falsely attributed to him; since I used it, I should have gone ahead and verified.
