My favorite posts and articles are ones where political lemmings have an epiphany and realize they’ve been had. I don’t like them because of the pain and/or embarassment the person(s) have, but rather because they’re posts and articles proving that the TRUTH DOES COME OUT. It cannot hide forever.

An open letter to the local daily paper — almost every local daily paper in America:
I remember reading All the President’s Men and thinking: That’s journalism. You do what it takes to get the truth and you lay it before the public, because the public has a right to know.

This housing crisis didn’t come out of nowhere. It was not a vague emanation of the evil Bush administration. It was a direct result of the political decision, back in the late 1990s, to loosen the rules of lending so that home loans would be more accessible to poor people. Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac were authorized to approve risky loans.

These are facts. This financial crisis was completely preventable. The party that blocked any attempt to prevent it was … the Democratic Party. The party that tried to prevent it was … the Republican Party.

Yet when Nancy Pelosi accused the Bush administration and Republican deregulation of causing the crisis, you in the press did not hold her to account for her lie. Instead, you criticized Republicans who took offense at this lie and refused to vote for the bailout!

Every one of the MSM are biased and losing credibility fast! The most objective and direct debate wasn’t a real debate at all but the interview done be Rick Warren. Here is a based on some of that:
http://salesianity.blogspot.com/2008/10/americas-choice-2008.html
Let’s pray America chooses wisely!

I look ahead at a Pres McCain, and see a media that’s frustrated, despondent, angry, bitter, and goes for him from day1 (even worse than they already have; see also NYT).

I look ahead at a Pres Obama, and I see a media that has had such high expectations that they can only be disappointed by his actions (more likely and in keeping w his personal history…his INactions), and disappointed by the reality of the world that they’ll finally have to report.

Get your “Don’t Let Bush Bomb Iran!” T-shirts now!!!!

I never use the acronym MSM without prefacing it with “the left dominated” To use it as a stand alone acronym infers that the MSM represents the mainstream, which it most definitely does not.

Quote from:

http://www.americanthinker.com/2008/10/the_last_two_years.html

“In December 2006, after six years of Bush and the last month before the Democrats took over both houses of the national legislature, a snapshot of our economy looked like this.
· Unemployment stood at 4.4%.
· Real GDP growth over the previous four years (under a Republican President, House and Senate) averaged 3% per year.
· A gallon of regular gasoline cost $2.30.
· The SandP 500 stock index stood at 1418, or 84% above its post-911 low and more than 7% higher than when Bush took office.
· Every year of Bush’s Presidency, real (inflation-adjusted) disposable income per person went up. By the end of 2006, the average person was making 9% more in real terms than before Bush became President.
If you recall, that 2006 election was considered a a referendum on Iraq. The people wanted change, so they threw out the Republicans and replaced them with Democrats. Welcome Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi.”

So…two years later…Obama blames _Bush_?

What makes Orson Scott Card a political lemming? I’ve long thought his random articles on politics to be a lone voice of thought and reason.

It would be time for the MSM to have some sort of an Association group, that would held them responsable for telling the truth, the whole truth to the population. Journalists should be fired and financially penalized for hiding the truth to the public. MSM badly needs regulations.

I agree with DK70. I have been watching Card’s “epiphany” for several years. This is hardly a sudden jump for him.

It’s a recent trend. This is what I would call the workings of the “new generation” media. Since controversy sells a lot more, the media often distorts the truth or just doesn’t make it public. On top of that, journalists, reporters, and the such all inject their own opinions into every story they relay to the public. Media has the power to pick and choose what stories they will report and how they will report them. Ultimately, the media has the power to shape the public agenda. Getting behind the wheel of the media by any party means that the party controls the media. And since more than half the population of the US doesn’t do their research on the candidates or the issues, they listen to what these left-controlled MSM tells them. The former is what the Democrats are doing, and the latter is what they’re counting on for power.
