Timetable?

Here we go again. The lefties wanna whine a bit more:

Nov. 14 (Bloomberg) — The U.S. Senate opened debate today on measures that would put the chamber on record for the first time asking President George W. Bush to set limits for keeping American troops in Iraq.

The Bush administration “needs to explain to Congress and the American people its strategy for the successful completion of the mission,” say resolutions introduced separately by both Republicans and Democrats.

Both parties also would require that Iraq’s rival political factions be told they must make the compromises necessary to achieve a stable government, united against the insurgency, which will allow U.S. troops to leave.

I believe our Commander In Chief gave the timetable: As the Iraqi’s stand up, We will stand down.

These Republicans supporting this kind of legislation are weak-kneed jackasses. It took us 50 years to exit Germany but they want us to run from Iraq after 2.5 years. This is the same tactics they used in Vietnam and it cost over a million lives when we ran away, but do they care what would happen to the Iraqi’s? Not one iota.

And nothing show’s the true nature of these liberals more then this sentence:

Minority Leader Harry Reid (Nev.) said at a press conference yesterday. ?Staying the course is no longer an option.?

Since when is staying the course and finishing what you began a bad thing? Wtf is up with these dumbasses? We will leave Iraq when the Iraqi’s can fend for themselves, and not before then.

It’s 32 months since we went into Iraq, a long time to those who have had to fight over there, to be sure….. but imagine if 32 months into WWII we had faced this kind of domestic assault on our national resolve!?!! What if 32 months after Pearl Harbor (July 1944) we had faced such a concerted domestic campaign to sap our spirit and our will, to break our resolve to win a decisive victory?

flashback…. JULY 1944….. numerous leading Senators and Congresscritters (not to mention media figures) publicly question the course of the war, blast the administration endlessly over the conduct of the war, give Hitler and Tojo fervent new hopes that the USA will be rent asunder by domestic dissension, our elected “leaders” wonder why FDR and Marshall and Ike allowed Normandy to be such a “quagmire” (which it certainly was until Operation Cobra finally achieved a break-out in August ’44)…. etc. etc.

This wouldn’t have happened during WWII, because we did not have such whiny weasels in so many prominent positions in Congress!!

I tell you one thing, we need to let any Republican who sign’s these POS bills know that they’re day’s are numbered.
