A Traitor In The Wings

Who in the hell elected an imbecile such as this?

When you read some of the graphic descriptions of what has occurred here?I almost hesitate to put them in the RECORD, and yet they have to be added to this debate. Let me read to you what one FBI agent saw. And I quote from his report:

“One a couple of occasions, i entered interview rooms to find a detainee chained hand and foot in a fetal position to the floor, with no chair, food, or water. Most times they urinated or defecated on themselves, and had been left there for 18-24 hours or more.

On another occasion, the air conditioning had been turned down so far and the temperature was so cold in the room, that the barefooted detainee was shaking with cold. ….. On another occasion, the [air conditioner] had been turned off, making the temperature in the unventilated room well over 100 degrees. The detainee was almost unconscious on the floor, with a pile of hair next to him. He had apparently been literally pulling his hair out throughout the night. On another occasion, not only was the temperature unbearably hot, but extremely loud rap music was being played in the room, and had been since the day before, with the detainee chained hand and foot in the fetal position on the tile floor.”

If I read this to you and did not tell you that it was an FBI agent describing what Americans had done to prisoners in their control, you would most certainly believe this must have been done by Nazis, Soviets in their gulags, or some mad regime?Pol Pot or others?that had no concern for human beings. Sadly, that is not the case. This was the action of Americans in the treatment of their prisoners.

To those of you in Illinois who elected this fool, I hope you are happy. You have now elected someone who believes are sons and daughters are comparable to Pol Pot, Nazi’s, and Communists.

Why you ask?

Because we forced them to listen to rap music, got them a bit chilly or a bit hot. Put them in uncomfortable positions. This is “torture” that we are putting terrorists through. Those who want to create a hundred 9/11’s.

He wants us to confer Geneva Convention rights to those who have no right to them. They are unlawful combatants who should be lined up against a wall and shot.

It’s this kind of speech that emboldens our enemies to create a 9/11 in the first place. Bin Laden knew after Clinton pulled out of Somalia, like the pussy he is, that we were a paper tiger. That is until we had real leadership.

Now that we have a real leader who wont back down from a fight we have the lefties trying to take us out from the rear.

Patrick Ruffini is correct in observing that the Democrats have taken the position of weakness in this war:

Camp X-Ray is about detaining terrorists who want to kill Americans ? the al Qaeda kind of terrorists, the September 11th kind of terrorists, the comrades of Atta. Some on the left would like to dismantle Camp X-Ray over some perceived injustices. The injustices? Placing the Koran on top of a television set. (Pity the poor little terrorists.) And what do they propose we do with the friends of Atta? They won’t say. Have we forgotten that we are at war with these people? …

We shouldn’t be afraid of making the argument, even when it sounds rough, even when it sounds impolitic, in ways that connect directly to the security of you and your family. That’s how you approach debates like Guantanamo and Bolton. The moment you get bogged down in arcane procedural minutae (Is it or is it not a filibuster?) you make it something less than what it is: a referendum on strength or weakness in the war on terror.

With rare exception, Democrats have taken the position of weakness. Oh sure, they can call it what they want: conciliation, negotiation, nuance, understanding, but their basic position is something the public pretty plainly understands and clearly rejected in the elections of 2002 and 2004. As such, we don’t need to win the argument all over again when trying to mobilize people over al Qaeda detainees and Bolton: just connect these issues to the narrative of strength and weakness people already feel in their gut.

They still don’t get it.

The left has been nothing but a hindrance in this war against terrorism with their over the top rhetoric and their great concern for Al-Qaeda members rights.

These idiots need to stop their crying about how cold a terrorist is and start worrying about winning this war. These terrorists want nothing more then to blow up innocent Americans and he is crying about some terrorists being forced to listen to rap music.

These kind of statements are used by our enemies. Al-Jazeera and the like eat this stuff up…they print it up and they don’t even have to spin it because our own politicians are better at convincing the world that the US is a evil empire.

With this President we have handed the enemy loss after loss. They once believed that we were weak because of Clinton and Somalia but have found this not to be the case once Bush came into office. They are obviously playing the waiting game and hoping that American opinion will turn ie Vietnam.

These kind of politicians give them hope.

Thankfully the majority of us can see the enemy for who they are. May they rot in hell.
