What The Media Won’t Tell You About Alexei Navalny.

Loading

by Jack Montgomery

Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny has reportedly died in an Arctic penal colony. Western media and politicians are, predictably, lionizing him as a “free spirit” and martyr for democracy — but the truth about the late 47-year-old is more complex.

A political chameleon, he spent his final years as a staunch critic of the Ukraine war, advocating for Russia to pay reparations and legalize gay marriage — knowing, as a prisoner of the Kremlin, that his prospects depended entirely on currying favor with the Western establishment and hoping for Putin to come to a sticky end.

Things were quite different, however, when he was a younger man with a real presence in domestic politics. Back then, Navalny positioned himself to Putin’s right, tying up with Russian March activists more concerned with protesting demographic change than corruption.

“Immigrants from Central Asia bring in drugs,” Navalny complained in 2012 — remarks that would have earned him the lifelong enmity of the Western media-political class if he had been an American candidate expressing the same sentiments about, say, Mexicans.

He has gone much farther than that, too. Like the Russian March activists he allied with, he advocates a “Russia for [ethnic] Russians” and once posted a video of himself dressed as a dentist, comparing immigrants to cavities in need of removal. He peppered his pitch with photographs of corpses, Nazi iconography, and a graphic video of a cartoon character having its lower jaw ripped off.

It remains present on his YouTube page to this day and was so objectionable to the Western left that Amnesty International temporarily stripped him of his “prisoner of conscience” status when people began pointing it out years after the fact.

‘RODENTS.’

Navalny’s “anti-imperialist” stance concerning the wars Putin has waged in Russia’s “near abroad” also appears to be calculated.

In 2011, he said the Russians, Belarusians, and Ukrainians were one people who would eventually be reunited. After the Maidan Revolution sparked the first phase of the Ukraine war in 2014, he was equivocal, suggesting the Russian intervention was wrong but agreeing Crimea was essentially Russian and could not be “handed back” to Ukraine.

Towards the end of his life, he changed his mind again, saying Crimea should indeed be “handed back” to Zelensky. This supposed “evolution” of his foreign policy positions appears even starker when we cast our minds back to 2008 when Russia invaded Georgia.

Biden, Haley Campaigns Blast President Trump for His Comment Comparing Death of Russian Dissident Alexei Navalny in Prison to “What Is Happening in Our Country”

Cry me a river. I do not care about this pos.

Navalny is more akin to America’s antifa than to the victims of joe’s coup.
Politically, anyway.
But joe has never gone after antifa for any of their crimes and expensive “peaceful” protests.
He went after the Jan 6th attendees who have been suffering just to prove to the rest of us to keep our mouth’s shut.
It’s not working, joe.

Trump supporters are pathetic.

You’re not a REAL patriot until you send your cult leader $400 for a pair of Golden Sneakers. (Made in China)

02/19/24 – Cheney warns of a ‘Putin wing of the Republican party’

Former Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.), an outspoken critic of former President Trump, warned of the emergence of a “Putin wing” of the Republican party and stressed the importance of preventing its return to the White House.

In an interview on CNN’s “State of the Union,” Cheney sharply criticized Trump’s recent comments suggesting he would not defend NATO allies in the wake of an attack from Russia and his recent silence following the death of the anti-corruption, pro-democracy opposition leader in Russia, Alexei Navalny.

“I think that we have to take Donald Trump very seriously,” Cheney said Sunday. “We have to take seriously the extent to which you have now got a Putin wing of the Republican Party.”

“I believe the issue this election cycle is making sure the Putin wing of the Republican Party does not take over the West Wing of the White House,” she continued.

In the interview, she did not make any presidential endorsements and said she has not yet decided whether she would enter the race herself. She made clear, however, that she would do whatever she could to prevent Trump’s return to the White House.

“Donald Trump, as you pointed out, said just a few days ago that he had told a NATO ally that he would encourage [Russian President Vladimir Putin] to do whatever he needed to do, whatever he wanted to do,” Cheney told CNN anchor Jake Tapper.

“He’s basically made clear that, under a Trump administration, the United States is unlikely to keep its NATO commitments. And I think that Republicans who understand the importance of the national security situation who continue to support him are similarly going to be held to account,” she said.

Pressed later about Trump’s NATO comments, Cheney said, “It’s disgraceful. I can’t imagine any other American president of either party since the establishment of NATO saying such a thing. And it’s completely uninformed and ignorant and dangerous.”

Cheney also drew a connection between Trump’s frequent suggestions that he would investigate his political opponents in a second term and Navalny’s death.

“When you think about Donald Trump, for example, pledging retribution — what Vladimir Putin did to Navalny is what retribution looks like in a country where the leader is not subject to the rule of law,” Cheney said.

I don’t know if you noticed or not, but Liz pretty much destroyed any credibility she had. And any retribution against the deep state that dragged the nation through Russian collusion, quid pro quo, two phony impeachments and now 91 politically motivated indictments is not only justified but absolutely necessary for the very health and survival of the nation.

Cowards hate no one so much as those who have the courage they lack.

Cowards hate no one so much as those who have the courage they lack.

Looking in the mirror again, Comrade Greggie? You really should stop. It’s making you look like the fool you are.

The very description of every Democrat.

3 days ago Voting for Biden is outright national suicide.” Former AG Bill Barr brings down the house today at a Forum Club of Southwest Florida lunch in Naples — and suggests he’d vote Trump.
Cheney? Ok I didnt realize you were being sarcastic.

02/19/24 – In historians’ Presidents Day survey, Biden vs. Trump is not a close call

President Biden is in a tight race to keep former President Donald Trump from reclaiming the White House, recent polls show. But that’s not how 154 historians and presidential experts see it: They rate Biden in the top third of U.S. presidents, while Trump ranks dead last.

The 2024 edition of the Presidential Greatness Project Expert Survey has Biden in 14th place, just ahead of Woodrow Wilson and Ronald Reagan. Trump comes in 45th, behind fellow impeachee Andrew Johnson and James Buchanan, the perennial cellar-dweller in such ratings due to his pre-Civil War leadership…

Any survey that places Robin Ware/Robert L. Peters/JRB Ware/Pedo Peter/idiot Biden anywhere but dead last (except for the most corrupt President in US history) is laughable. But, I’m sure this kind of propaganda gives you a chubby.

American Political Science Association

Really, Comrade Greggie? An association that is basically composed of left wing over paid university professors? An organization that could only get less than 30% of their membership to respond to their (erroneous) survey? The results of the survey itself should discredit it.

But that’s not how 154 historians and psychopaths who also see federal reserve, segregationist Wilson right up there.

The gap between Trump and Biden is Grand Canyon Size you Doofus
