Trump in 2024? Bet on It!

We’re going to get a massive red wave this fall. The 2021 results in Virginia, out of control inflation, Joe Biden’s dismal approval ratings in recent polls (for perspective, Obama’s approval rating was 44.7 percent in October 2010, just before the midterm mauling Democrats got that year), soaring gas prices, and a porous southern border indicate that even places Biden won by 20 points in 2020 are in play this fall.

Perhaps that sounds crazy at first, but it shouldn’t. Democrats are already spending millions to defend incumbent senators in states like Washington and Colorado—states Biden won by 19 and 14 points, respectively. Why? Because they’re seeing the same dynamics I am. I’ll be very surprised if on the low end Republicans don’t pick up 40 seats in the House and three or four Senate seats. On the high end? Depends on how badly Grandpa Dementia’s administration implodes over the next four months or so. Looking at the current trajectory, we haven’t seen the bottom yet.

We’re still months away from the November midterms—which will be devastating for Democrats at the state and local levels, too—and we’re already seeing people looking ahead to the presidential election in 2024 and more specifically who is going to run and represent the Republican party.

We should start with the fact that Donald Trump is going to run again. He’s 114-10 in his endorsements so far in 2022, in great health, raising significant amounts of money and will no doubt announce by January 2023, if not before (I suspect in November, post-midterms). Other names are being tossed about: Mike Pence, Kristi Noem, Nikki Haley, random names from the phone book . . .  essentially an assortment of political pygmies. None of them stand a snowball’s chance in hell against Trump.

And then there is Governor Ron DeSantis, who has rocketed to national prominence for making Florida one of the best states in the entire country. He is easily the best Republican governor in America and it’s not even close. So now people think that Ron DeSantis is going to challenge Donald Trump for the Republican nomination in 2024.

I’m here to tell you I don’t think so and for a variety of reasons.

First, the dynamics are off for DeSantis in 2024. How do you raise over $140 million for your reelection campaign, win, and then turn around a mere six months later and become an absent governor after people have invested a significant amount of money into seeing you govern for a complete second term? That’s what he would need to do to run in 2024.

Reports are trickling out that DeSantis is working on building out his national infrastructure, but he doesn’t have enough to make a go at the presidency yet.

[the_ad id=”157875″]

People think he’s going to go up against the most popular Republican president we’ve seen in generations. A former president—who will have already declared his intention to run for president when DeSantis wins his gubernatorial reelection campaign and who consequently will be sitting on far more cash than DeSantis could hope to raise from his donors? That seems unlikely.

Look at the polls. The most recent Harvard/Harris poll had Trump up 56 percent to 16 percent over DeSantis, up from 41 percent to 12 percent a month earlier. Other polls have Trump up by significant margins as well. So, it’s not really a race. So why would a very successful, 43-year-old governor go out of his way to challenge Trump? Especially when he’ll only be 49 in 2028 and the clear favorite in that nomination fight.

When you come at the king, you best not miss. There are a lot of indicators DeSantis would miss.

Trump can win the general election in 2024, against Biden or whoever the Democrats decide to put up there. After another two years of the current disaster, who knows where inflation, energy, and the markets will be? Any vestiges of supposed enforcement on the southern border might have already collapsed. I suspect people will be begging for someone to get things back to normal, and that someone will be Donald Trump.

Overturn all ob Biden’s Dirty Work

Trump’s policies were excellent – his biggest enemy is his own mouth. Recent statements (such as those against Elon Musk) show that he still hasn’t learned his lesson. If he would learn to STFU and stick as much as possible to prepared remarks, he could have gone down as one of, if not the best president in the last 100+ years. And if he had learned that lesson, I think people would have given him a chance in 2024. But as it is… no. Our best bet is for him to put his support behind DeSantis, and for DeSantis to promise to use trump as a close policy advisor (who will be ordered to stay away from media crews). But somehow I doubt his ego will allow that.

Even better, Trump could go around and draw fire from the Republicans and their policies. The left will never end their sick obsession with him, but make no mistake; they will attack DeSantis just as viciously and relentlessly as they have Trump. Question would be, can DeSantis and other Republicans handle it? Are they as clean as Trump has already been proven to be?

The faults that you cite are the ONLY reason he was able to win in the first place, and to hold off the horde of lobbyists, Democrats, corrupt intelligence community, and the WEF.

The new concern is that Democrats pay their own campaign money to actually PROMOTE a Republican who they believe they can beat.

I think the post above might be an example. Democrats know they can beat DeSantis. It’s takes ONE made up scandal, and that’s it. Trump could survive Russian Collusion.

DeSantis never will.

Are you with a Democrat organization, or are you being serious?

And the Democrats could invent another ____ (fill in the blank) collusion lie knowing the corrupt, weaponized, GESTAPO-style DOJ will happily play along, feeding the willfully ignorant the same garbage they are used to being fed. This needs to be cleaned up before it is safe for any other Republicans run for President.

LOL, no I’m not a Dem operative, but then if I were I would say that too, wouldn’t I? ;-D

I am a conservative that never gave a rat’s butt whether a president looked good or spoke well in front of a camera – what matters are the policies he/she promulgates while in the Oval Office, and what kind of persons they chose to appoint to key positions, yes-men political hacks or people who know something about the job.

IMHO Trump rated:

  • Good on camera : F
  • Policies: A-
  • Appointments: B+

FYI I would rate Obama A, F, D respectively. Biden is the only president that pulls a hat-trick that I can recall – Fs across the board. Carter was far better (and yes I am old enough to remember him). What a disaster. Maybe he might have been slightly better had he not had a stroke in summer 2020 – I’m convinced something like that happened to him during that time. He was never the smartest man in the room, but his faculties went AWOL, and the press colluded with Biden’s staff to hide it, in my opinion, and he allowed radicals to completely take over his policies and appointments.

You make a good point about DeSantis, or any other Republican fighting the Democrats’ very powerful propaganda machine. I agree that the GOP should never again play nice with the press – McCain and Romney tried that, and were slaughtered. DeSantis would need to find a balance – Trump’s combativeness and willingness to take the offensive, while dialing back Trump’s habit of going overboard. I really had hopes that Trump would have learned his lesson and dialed it back a bit – maybe 10%. But he hasn’t.

Your “F” in front of the camera could be a bit harsh. He gave an inspirational inauguration speech, a GREAT speech in Poland (they want to name a military base after him), great SOTU speeches. Frankly, I liked his combativeness when harassed with political proclamations from reporters instead of questions. Yeah, sometimes he went too far, but he was always facing an immature acting confrontational media… confrontational in that they were all wanting to be the guy that fatally tripped Trump up on camera. It was absurd.

It’s pretty easy to look good on camera when you can have the confidence that no one is going to refute anything you say, as Obama enjoyed.

OK, I’ll grant that When he sticks to prepared speeches, he was excellent. But when he went off-script I just cringed. I’ll raise my rating to a D – A when on prepped remarks, F when off-script, and acknowledge that 70-80% he was off-script.

Ok you prefer a complete fake scripted robot, I’ll take someone who speaks from his heart.
Trump is exactly what you see and hear not some back stabbing, no talent puppet fake getting cash laundered through book deals and netflix contracts or selling America through a crackhead.

I like Trump’s accomplishments so much, I don’t even know if I like HIM. But, what I do like is that when he talks about topics, he talks like I do. He doesn’t speak over everyone’s head (or try to and look utterly stupid), he speaks in term that anyone can understand. He doesn’t dilly dally around topics, he says what he means and he does what he says.

Most Democrats Don’t Want Biden in 2024, New Poll Shows

Only 13% believe the country is on the right track.

And in the 18-29 age group, biden gets a 1% strongly approve. Margin of error actually takes that to a zero

Yes, when he talks policy, he was great. Even when off-script, he was usually pretty good, when talking about specific policy issues. But then he starts sh&t-talking. Look at just this past week. Why did he need to start a pissing match with Elon Musk, who could be an ally? Completely and totally unnecessary. Musk is a weird bird, but he’s no dummy – he may be planning to take on Twitter’s lawsuit and end up buying Twitter for half the price at the end – we don’t know. But Trump just had to let his mouth take him again where he had nothing to gain and a lot to lose. He likes to ad-lib for hours and lets his attention wander away from policy and on to celebrity gossip and other BS. Just cut it out.

It’s simple; Trump wants Truth to flourish and if Musk gets ahold of Twitter and reforms it from nothing but a leftist mouthpiece, Truth probably doesn’t survive. Musk being a really smart guy probably understands this as well.

If that’s true (and I don’t think it is), it would be extraordinarily short-sighted on Trump’s part. I’m no expert on social media – the only social media account I have is Facebook and I haven’t opened it in at least 8 or 9 years – but there is no way that Truth Social will ever have more than 1 or 2% of Twitter’s following. Just the name alone will ensure that casual users who just want to follow their favorite sports figures, singers and porn stars will never sign up – the only users will be conservatives who want to be able to shit-talk democrats without getting banned – frankly a limited market.

Musk is forcing Titter to show they are majority fake bot accounts the following is not as huge as they say, and in court now he says shove the bluebird up their tweet. A pathetic troll echo chamber of government only approved opinions. Frankly a dying market.

I agree – musk is playing 3D chess. When Twitter sues him, he can demand discovery on a level far deeper than Twitter wanted to disclose during the due diligence process, and may well be able to 1) expose Twitter of being > than X% (20%, 30%, 50%?) bots, simply there to defraud advertisers and other revenue sources, and 2) end up acquiring Twitter at a steep discount to the $40+ billion tag announced before.

Truth Social is another like Parlar and Gab. It’s nice to be able to comment without being banned or get a plethora of idiotic “fact checks” that don’t even address the actual comment. But, few on the left go on them. They PREFER the safety of cancellation and censorship. So, it creates two opposing echo chambers that never intersect.

Truth has an uphill battle, for sure and a much harder time of it if Musk buys Twitter and prohibits the silencing of conservative views and news not beneficial to Democrats. It’s Ford vs Chevy vs Dodge. Coke vs Pespsi. Burger King vs McDonalds.

Did you watch his speeches on MSLSD or CNN as commentary?
Go look up his UN speech. Watch with just your eyes and ears no one elses twisted lying opinions.
Obama could not speak without his telepromter, a stuttering sputtering would commence.
Appointments or hire for white house, wellll lots of stupid leaks, even that he was not happy with the hand towels on AF1. Leaks of phonecalls to other nations leaders, twisted into huge nothing burgers. He never ran from a camera.

even places Biden won by 20 points in 2020

That would be “places it was made to appear Biden won by 20 points in 2020”.

Just like in 2020, Trump’s primary opponent and concern will be election fraud in 2024. Without it, Democrats have no choice. The phony-baloney Jan. 6th “hearings” will go on all summer and as long as Democrats have the power to maintain them, generating as many lies to tarnish Trump as possible. They have no choice.

As to divisiveness, it doesn’t matter if it’s Trump or anyone else (except maybe Cheney). The left went after Trump because he wasn’t Hillary, then they drove themselves crazy trying to get something on him that would stick. While they are insanely obsessed with Trump, they will quickly turn their attentions to anyone else that seeks the office (unless, again, it is Cheney). DeSantis, Haley, Noem, Pence, Cruz, Jorden (not Cheney)… anyone not a leftist will immediately be the most corrupt scumbag working for foreign interests in history (you know… just like Obama and idiot Biden actually are). So, by that measure, it doesn’t matter if it’s Trump or not. Democrats will not suddenly become civil and balanced.

No rational or logical thinking American should vote for any democrats given the behavior they have displayed over the past 6 years. Besides not have a single issue that Americans would vote for, should close shop and dissolve the party.

Unless you actually WANT a failed socialist totalitarian police state that excuses and encourages crime and political violence, breeds disasters by the litter, keeps our border wide open and hates this country, why WOULD you vote Democrat?

Trump Rally Goes Horribly Wrong, Supporters Visibly Disoriented

The voters aren’t stupid enough to do it twice. They weren’t the first time. Trump has NEVER won the popular vote. The man is an idiot.
