Mistakes Were Made: Ted Cruz Obliterates the FBI For Willful, Deliberate Forging of Evidence, Frauds on the Court, and Framing An Innocent Man Serving as a Source for the CIA as a Traitor

Acrually, he just repeated what was in the report, which Sean Davis and Mollie Hemingway already wrote about a day or two ago.

But we know that most people in the media do not read, ever, and so Ted Cruz’s televised interrogation is probably the first time they’ve heard these facts.

Cruz noted two deliberate frauds — perjuries — obstructions of justice — perpetrated on the FISA court.

The first was that the FBI actually had contacted Steele’s primary source — who they call the “primary sub-source,” because Steele, who knew nothing about anything, was considered the source itself — and that primary sub-source completely repudiated all the claims that Steele had claimed he’d made, telling the FBI that the Steele was exaggerating some of the things he said, making up other things, and in other cases passing off things said in jest or as barroom rumor-mongering and speculation as “verified information.”

Rather than inform the FISA court that Steele’s “dossier” had been completely repudiated by the very source Steele himself claimed knew where all the bodies were buried, the FBI instead told the court that the primary sub-source had been “verified as honest and reliable.”

Why did they say that? Well, apparently, they took his saying “all of that is bullshit” as an indicator of honesty and reliability, and reported he was such to the court.

But they forgot to tell the court that the thing he had been verified as “honest and reliable” about was calling the Steele dossier a parcel of lies. Instead, the FBI led the court to believe that he was “honest and reliable” about the things Steele claimed he’d said, which he himself denounced as either said in jest, or as gross speculation, or as simply untrue.

This is obviously the kind of fraud that people go to jail for.

Not DOJ employees, though!

But that was just his first point. The second point was this: Carter Page probably, at some point, told one of the spies assigned to him that he actually was a source for a US intelligence agency. I’ve heard the CIA, but no one is confirming that, and maybe it’s the Naval Intelligence Service or something.

Why is this important? Well, if he’s actually an asset for the CIA, that makes it pretty understandable why he’s talking to Russians — CIA assets often talk to Russians. That’s what the CIA asks them to do.

And this is patriotic service, not Treason, as the FBI would then characterize it.

Realizing that they had a major problem on their hands if this were true — because they’re golden evidence that “Page has been seen talking to Russians” is not at all incriminating if he’s a CIA (or NIS, etc.) asset — the FBI or DOJ wrote to the intelligence agency and asked, “Is Carter Page a source for your organization?”

And that intelligence agency said: “Carter page is a source” for our organization.

So that’s a big problem. If Carter Page is a CIA/NIS asset, then they can’t use his contact with Russians as evidence for a FISA warrant against him.

So what’s the DOJ/FBI response?

Well, a lawyer there — Kevin Clinesmith — deliberately changes the response of the organization from “Carter Page is a source” to “Carter Page is not a source,” and sends this forged, fraudulent evidence along to the court as part of the FISA application.

This is CRIMINAL. They were specifically told by the agency involved that Page was a source and therefore had a very good and legal reason to have contact with Russians, but this guy forged the email, altering it to say he was not a source and so reported to the court that Page had no good reason to talk to Russians.

And here’s the kicker:

He still works for the FBI!

Because of course he does.

Because Christopher “Straight-Shooter” Wray.

Dems are furiously spinning this as merely one of 35-or-so “clerical errors,” that crept into the FBI’s long investigation to get Trump.
No.
IF they were simply clerical errors, by law of random numbers, about 1/2 of them would have fallen in Trump’s favor!
BUT all of them fell in opposition to Trump!!!
That’s a pattern of misuse of office.
Lying under color of authority.

This email forger has been referred to the justice dept but he isnt the only agent involved that still collects a tax payer funded paycheck.
A guillotine should be installed at the entry way into that building to remind those to do the job with the blindfold of justice on.
The democrats trying to run cover caused bile reflux.

Rather than inform the FISA court that Steele’s “dossier” had been completely repudiated by the very source Steele himself claimed knew where all the bodies were buried, the FBI instead told the court that the primary sub-source had been “verified as honest and reliable.”

I guess that was just a “mistake”. What they MEANT to say was “verified as a liar and less reliable than Schiff”. Or, maybe a nefarious Republican sneaked in and removed the word “NOT” from before “verified”.

The 476-page report from Department of Justice Inspector General Michael Horowitz found that the FBI falsely claimed to the FISA Court not only that Carter Page was a Russian agent, but also falsely claimed that an unnamed intelligence agency had told the FBI that Page was “not a source” in their efforts to surveil and curtail Russian intelligence efforts.

Remember when this detail was being leaked in preview to the release of the report? If I recall, this was a “low-level” lawyer that made a “non-material” alteration to a document (or something to that affect). Remember?

The media was making this out to be like changing “you’re” to “your”. Instead, one tiny little verb added changed fact to an enormous, rights-violating lie. It was the difference between carry on, full speed ahead, trying to link Trump to Russians and “what the hell are we going to do now?”

As I’ve said before, Cruz was my choice in 2016. I hope he has the opportunity to run again. It is only a matter of time before dozens of women come forth with their claims of sexual abuse; he has that threat status.

Things sure run differently in the Republican Senate, don’t they? While Almost President Harris was rambling all over the liberal accusation spectrum, I expected Graham to gavel her big, lying mouth shut and tell here to restrict her questions to the IG report, but he let her ramble on. Of course, it only made her look like the dishonest idiot she is, but compare that to Schiff and Nadler changing rules on the fly and suppressing every bit of information they could. The Senate trial is going to be a devastating blow to Democrats. I can’t wait.

@Deplorable Me: Where the hell was her neck, her poorly fitted pink atrocity with the 80s calling for their shoulder pads, she couldnt hear cause they were against her ears, looked like she hasn’t slept or was punched in both eyes.
Is there any hope for the FISA Court after this?

the FBI told the court that the primary sub-source [for the Steele Dossier] had been “verified as honest and reliable.”

He was finally being honest and reliable when he admitted to the FBI that he’d made it all up over a night of drinking at a bar!

PS: President Trump is having a very good week.
Even my Dem Rep in “swing area” Utah is hoping he can vote only to censor the President and NOT impeach him!

@Deplorable Me, #3:

They don’t run at all. Hence, a hundred or so bills passed by the House that don’t move any further than Mother McConnell’s desk. Among them are a number of election security bills.

Senate GOP blocks three election security bills for second day

The FBI was warning state election boards of Russian hacking efforts before the 2016 elections. By September 2017 it had been determined that at least 21 states were targeted. That number includes most of the “swing” states.

Why has nothing been done to address so obvious and serious a threat? It’s because the Republican Party now exists in name only. It is now The Party of Trump. Trump will do anything he believes he can get away with to win the 2020 election, and members of Congress who have relinquished their souls to the devil and their balls to Donald are signaling that he can get away with anything.

Traced back to the DHS of the United States, Why was Obama trying to hack the swing states?

Trying for a federal take over of voting?
Like fast and furious was to call for more gun laws.

@Greg: I think what you should be most concerned about is the total exposure of your party’s coup. The IG report, though with its sugar-coated summary, shows egregious disregard for rights, laws, the Constitution or the country. It shows the Democrats doing everything they can to eliminate Trump, no matter what it takes.

And this is the MILD report. Better get ready for the BIG one.

@kitt, #7:

The state’s IT team claimed that a DHS IP address repeatedly scanned Indiana’s system. The attempted hacks occurred tens of thousands of times over a period of 46 days, beginning while Vice President Mike Pence was still the governor of Indiana.

“We know that between November 1 and December 16, we were scanned with about 14,800 scans, nearly 15,000 different times,” DHS Indiana Secretary of State Connie Lawson told The Daily Caller.

Tens of thousands of attempted hacks by DHS over a period of 46 days? They don’t seem to feel any need to tell their readers that IP address spoofing is both pathetically easy, and a common part of automated Denial of Service attacks. The target of the attack could be the system the traffic was directed to, the system associated with the spoofed IP address, or both.

This is the sort of babble you hear when the person talking doesn’t have a clue what they’re talking about. Unfortunately the target audience often doesn’t know that what they’re hearing is babble. In this case, the sentence itself makes no sense. What is she saying? Should we do arithmetic?

@Deplorable Me: This is nice a bit late but another DNC connected security issue that may involve lovers as well.

Did those Government intrusions cause any problems or give the Federales reason to try to take over the state run elections?
None of the democrat states would cooperate with Trumps investigations of elections so f’em.

@Greg: There will be real indictments out of this…regarding conduct and the actual investigation.

Get ready.

You understand that prooftexting words for a headline/soundbyte don’t work anymore, right?

Strozk/Page Texts – incriminating.
Changed email is/isn’t – very incriminating, and charges will be brought.

“Do us a favor”…not so guilty.

See how justice works?

Indeed. Democrat operatives have been caught twice emulating Russians running election interference scams.

@kitt: Democrats don’t seem to be able to secure themselves that well. I guess they expect honor among thieves. More likely, they are simply such easy targets due to their stupidity and laziness that they get attacked and hacked repeatedly and just blame it on Russians. THESE are the people we want determining the security against interference?

@Greg:

Unfortunately the target audience often doesn’t know that what they’re hearing is babble. In this case, the sentence itself makes no sense.

Your party’s whole platform, summed up nicely.
