Google executive Wael Ghonim, who emerged as a leading voice in Egypt’s uprising, was barred from the stage in Tahrir Square on Friday by security guards, an AFP photographer said. Ghonim tried to take the stage in Tahrir, the epicentre of anti-regime protests that toppled President Hosni Mubarak, but men who appeared to be guarding influential Muslim cleric Yusuf al-Qaradawi barred him from doing so.

Ghonim, who was angered by the episode, then left the square with his face hidden by an Egyptian flag.

Qaradawi gave a Friday sermon in the square, where hundreds of thousands of people gathered a week after Mubarak’s fall, in which he called for Arab leaders to listen to their people.

No surprise there. Wael Ghonim will be beaten and or blown up by the M uslim brotherhood along with all of his “Moderate and secular” associates. Egypt will be a total economic basket case just like Haiti as tourism is over completely forever in Egypt especially after the heinous and barbaric attack on Lara Logan. The big difference is that in Egypt there will be endless truck bombs and suicide attackers wearing vests with ball bearings and nails within weeks or months at most. there will be massive chaos and starvation as the food completely disappears and The summer heat wave hits. More demonstrations will topple the army and it is all over folks.

Muslim brotherhood 1, Wael Ghonim and Google 0. Game over.

Wael Ghonim is no one’s ”useful idiot.”
He could not be used as a front man for the Muslim Brotherhood’s first elected leader.
And the Muslim Brotherhood didn’t want to see or hear a comparison of applause/support between Ghonim and al-Qaradawi.
They especially did not want the Western media to compare the two.
Too embarrassing.
They had so many in the media believing the Egyptian people were for a secular, democratic future.
The applause/support would have shown our media was fooled.
Al-Qaradawi is wildly popular.
Ghonim is scantly popular within a small stripe of progressive youngsters.

Saying,”I told you so,” is not what it is cracked up to be.
Wish I’d been wrong.

Ghonim should ask Google for an immediate transfer.

Ghonim is going to wake up dead or missing if he’s not really careful.

Now that the flavor has been chewed out of him he’s expendable.

Looks like this was going on while Barry was meeting with the tech gods in California. Barry sure has a way about him for timing. Egypt will blow up and the MSM will find a way to agree with Barry that it was W.’s fault.
