Texas Department of Public Safety officials are asking questions following a report that Department of Homeland Security Advisory Council member Mohamed Elibiary may have been given access to a sensitive database of state and local intelligence reports, and then allegedly shopped some of those materials to a media outlet. He allegedly used the documents to claim the department was promoting “Islamophobia” — claims that the media outlet ultimately rejected. They declined to do the story.
Earlier today, I received confirmation from a left-leaning media outlet that Elibiary had recently approached them asking to do a story attacking Texas DPS:
Yes, he approached us and gave us some reports marked FOUO [For Official Use Only] that he said showed a pattern of Islamophobia at the department. He emphasized that some of the regional fusion centers were shut down a few years ago after the ACLU complained that they were targeting Muslim civil rights groups and said that this was being directed by [Texas Gov.] Rick Perry.
We looked at the reports and they weren’t as he had billed them to us. They seem to be pretty straightforward, nothing remotely resembling Islamophobia that we saw. I think he was hoping we would bite and not give it too much of a look in light of the other media outfits jumping on the Islamophobia bandwagon.
I asked if there was any sense of his possible motivation:
Oh, self-promotion definitely. It was clear up front that he wanted to be a quoted source in the story. We’ve used him as an unnamed source in previous stories.
The Bamey dirty tyrannical administration at work yet again. And they say they are “not concerned” about Perry…that’s just been shown to be a joke. It’s the same old Chicago Alinsky thuggery tactcs – destroy the opponent.
I pray that it will end 01/20/13. Then the trials and resultant punishments need to begin that will be necessary to cleanse this country of the horrible disaster of the current administration!
Since this Elibiary clown was appointed to DHS Advisory Council by Napoliano, it makes you wonder (right!) what his motivations are. Of course, being a mohammaden is no reason not to trust him….after all aren’t they supposed to be the perfect people…fashioned after mohammad himself. You know the generator of the religion of peace. Since the practice of taquiya is condoned by the koran, lying about your allegiances is permitted. I believe this clown wrote an article about a year ago, entitled,”muslims can be patriots too”. I would imagine he practiced taquiya then also. Looks to me like he is a patriot all right, but to what islamic country? DPS should be more careful who they play with. There are those that can see through the Texas macho veneer.

As I approach my 70th year on this planet, I cannot believe what dreadful shape our beloved United States of America is in. That a pathological megalomaniac can sit in our White House and issue Executive Orders, to the detriment of our country, with absolute impunity, is beyond imagination.
How have we as a people allowed this to happen? The left, and its warped minions, has sat back for decades
and planned our systematic demise. They have slowly unleashed the wolves, and now we are all being attacked, from within and from abroad. We have been asleep too long. We have to put aside our minor differences, and engage in a serious counter attack. In nature, the strongest animal overcomes and survives.
I blame apathy for the majority of our problems. No one seems to garner any interest in our country’s future. Let the guy next door do it! If it doesn’t affect his TV, CD, DVD, Blackberry, golf game, six pack, sports or personal appearance, he will let it go unattended. No problem !
Where have our true heroes gone? We DO have them in our military, law enforcement, firefighters and all first responders, but that is about it. John Q and Mary Q citizen sees them in our over paid professional athletes, the Kardashians, Lindsay Lohan, Oprah and other countless, worthless celebrities.
In some respects, I’m glad that I’m aging. The horizon looks grim for our future generations, if WE allow the left, and others of Obama’s ilk , to succeed. (That includes our “peaceful” islamic bretheren).
I’m old, but I still trust in God ……and my love of freedom.

Amen!! As they say: all politics is local. We must garner Patriots, pray, stand upright and defend our God-given freedoms. We must find STRONG representatives, with honest hearts and integrity, to step forward.
This election in 2012 WILL be the most important in our lifetime. I have found that educating ( those that allow to be educated) our communities is the answer. Those with deaf ears…..well, enough said.
Keep up the good works. Even though it seems we are “preaching to the choir”, we are still thinking, acting out and fighting back. As an old friend used to say, ” We’re behind the lines”.

I have been a member of the local TEA Party for 3 years. Sometimes they can be apathetic. Gotta’ keep trying!
I don’t want my grandchildren thinking Grandpa ‘didn’t do anything ‘when he could. They are really the ones that will live through the upcoming crap.
