The Victory Wing Of The Republican Party

Loading

Took me awhile to get around to it but I have finally done it. I am now a member of The Victory Wing of the Republican Party:

And I repeat the oath:

I support the Republican Party.

No caveats, no apologies, no bitching.

And I will work for VICTORY in 2006.

I’m not going to “teach a lesson” to our politicians

I mean LISTEN TO THAT. TEACH A LESSON TO A POLITICIAN?

ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR FREAKIN’ MIND?

Politicians ignore two kinds of people. First, they ignore the people that vote for them. Second, they really, really, really ignore the people that don’t.

Of course, I’m a married man, so being ignored is something I’m used to.

But I was single once, and I remember what being really, really, really ignored was like.

I ain’t going back there.

Not happy? Your Doctrinal Purity Meter is registering “outrage”.

Well, how happy will you be with the Democrats in charge?

Your country needs you.

Your party needs you.

I am a realist. NO politician will be everything to everybody. Bush cannot make EVERYONE happy in his own party, no President ever has and ever will. Everyone has different priorities and we need to learn to deal with it, not to take this party over the cliff to “teach a lesson” like a pouting schoolkid.

As I’ve said over and over on these kind of posts.

GET A GRIP PEOPLE!

Did you see the Bob Novak report that if Dems don’t regain the House, they will dump Nazi Pelosi?

The possibility of Pelosi as Speaker should scare the dickens out of every right minded Republican.

The possiblity of getting Pelosi dumped as MINORITY Leader should be all the incentive we need to get our folks to the polls.

I agree. We can either support the b*stards in our party or we can take the chance that the Democrats will gain more power in Congress if not actually take it over. I think the time to teach politicians in your own party a lesson is in the primaries — not in the general election, not when the other party is not merely socialist or unserious or wussified but virtually insane.

I understand Tom and agree with critics of some of the leaders (especially the Conservatives upset over the search of Jeffersons office) but Bush has not changed while in office. We knew what we were getting when he was elected. He never ran as a hard right conservative and those who want him to be this type of politician are dreaming. Aint going to happen.

When it came to immigration I knew I disagreed with him long ago but I voted for him anyway since there will never be the perfect President for everyone.

I’ll agree that once we get close to an election, it’s time to close ranks and make sure the GOP maintains it’s majorities in the House and Senate.

Further, 3rd parties are a recipe for disaster, not only for getting your ideas enacted into power, but multi-party democracies do not work well in general.

That said, I think that criticism if Republican leaders when they stray is a good thing, if not done close to an election. And right now, our leaders have strayed quite far, and they need to be admonished, and severely.

Don’t worry, I’ll close ranks when the time comes, but until then I’m going to let Haskert, Frist, and the President know how displeased I am with them.

Love the poster; love the concept.
