Post turtles.

That’s what came to mind when I was thinking of writing this. The joke goes like this:

While suturing a cut on the hand of a 75 year old rancher, whose hand was caught in the gate while working cattle, the doctor struck up a conversation with the old man. Eventually the topic got around to one of the political candidates.

The old rancher said, “Well, ya know, that candidate is a ‘Post Turtle’.”

Not being familiar with the term, the doctor asked him what a ‘post turtle’ was.

The old rancher said, “When you’re driving down a country road you come across a fence post with a turtle balanced on top, that’s a ‘post turtle’.”

The old rancher saw the puzzled look on the doctor’s face so he continued to explain.

“You know they didn’t get up there by themselves, they don’t belong up there, they don’t know what to do while they’re up there, and you just wonder what kind of dummy put them up there to begin with.”

This post describes five post turtles.

Blue state liberals have a penchant to elect imbeciles. They elected Brandon Johnson, the certifiable mayor of Chicago. Johnson insists teen mob riots be called “gatherings.” Back in March he was all about welcoming illegal aliens.

Seems he’s had a change of heart since then.

Today the transferring of illegals from Texas to Chicago is “dividing our country.” Rather than blame Joe Biden and his policies for the deluge of illegals Johnson pulls out the race card and blames Texas Governor Greg Abbott:

“We cannot have a governor who decides that he’s going to cling to the vestiges of Jefferson Davis”

What Johnson won’t do is blame Joe Biden.

Then there’s Michelle Wu.

Wu is the mayor of Boston- another winner. She has stated that

“Every human being has the legal right to come to the United States and seek asylum or shelter.”

Terrorists and all.

Wu is fond of making anti-white jokes.

“I’m getting used to dealing with problems that are expensive, disruptive, and white – I’m talking about snowflakes, snowstorms, snowflakes!”

Wu hustled to defend climate activists when they shut down major Massachusetts roadways.

“I hear the urgency that so many activists feel. We’re working as hard as we can every single day to make sure the city of Boston is moving fast [on climate change]”

She is being sued for anti-white racial discrimination and held a “no-whites” Christmas party.

Michelle Wu promised police reform that would “dismantle structures of systemic racism that we see present in our [police] department , such as the gang database”

A gang database is systemic racism?

Sanctuary city Denver Mayor Mike Johnston is another whiner, who like the other virtue-signaling mayors, was so proud about being a sanctuary city as long as it never came to pass. Reality bites.

The Democratic mayor of Denver said the onslaught of illegal immigrants into his city could mean service cuts in every part of city government.

Amid media coverage of leaders in Chicago and New York City saying the influx of illegal immigrants has devastated their cities, Denver Mayor Mike Johnston. during an ABC interview last week, sought to portray Denver as having things even worse.

He called his city “ground zero” for the stampede of illegal immigrants into America’s major cities.

Eric Adams

Adams is the mayor of New York and might be the biggest whiner of them all. Adams was part of a contingent of candidates vying for the title of most caring for illegal aliens:

Every single one of the eight Democrats running for mayor vowed to protect illegal immigrants from deportation, solidifying the Big Apple’s often infamous status as a “sanctuary city.”

Adams was right in the thick of things

“My mother worked two jobs to provide for the six of us and we had a group of undocumented residents that lived in our community,”

But when the rubber met the road things changed. Adams began to whine about the cost and then sling insults at Texas Governor Greg Abbott, who was doing nothing more than taking up Adams’ sanctuary promises. Sending illegals to a sanctuary state was “horrific” and “unimaginable.”

This is horrific when you think about what the governor is doing, the governor of Texas, after months of traveling across the border, placing them on the bus with no direction.”

When that didn’t scare Abbott, Adams whipped out the race card:

“This weekend, we learned that Governor Abbott is once again deciding to play politics with people’s lives by resuming the busing of asylum seekers to New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Denver, and Washington, D.C.,” the black Democratic mayor wrote in a press release.

“Not only is this behavior morally bankrupt and devoid of any concern for the well-being of asylum seekers, but it is also impossible to ignore the fact that Abbott is now targeting five cities run by Black mayors.

“Put plainly, Abbott is using this crisis to hurt Black-run cities.”

When that blew out a tire he threatened to sue the bus companies bringing in the illegals and impound the buses. But that Gov. Abbott is one cagey guy. He bussed the illegals to New Jersey and let them take trains to New York City. New Jersey is all too happy to wash its hands of illegals:

New Jersey officials are making sure the Big Apple doesn’t dump the out-of-control migrant mess on the Garden State — and are even deploying cops to usher asylum seekers from the US border onto Manhattan-bound NJ Transit trains as soon as they get off their buse

The scrap across the Hudson comes as New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy tries to rally the state’s mayors to form a unified front, while New York City Mayor Eric Adams pleads with Murphy to take on at least part of the migrant burden that is burying the five boroughs.

“New Jersey just said, ‘F–k this,’” one source close to the situation told The Post on Wednesday. “New Jersey Transit cops were waiting for them in Secaucus to show them how to get on the train to New York.”

All these lunatic mayors, obviously believe Texas should bear all the burden of Joe Biden’s dumbass policies and they all have something in common. None of them call for border security. None ask that the flood of illegals be stopped. None of them criticize Biden for his idiocy. And they all want everyone else (i.e. you and me) to pay for their largesse.

And then we have Shenna Bellows.

She is the current Secretary of State of Maine. As you probably know, she unilaterally removed Donald Trump from the ballot in her state. Under questioning Bellows admitted that there was no precedent for a state Secretary of State to remove a Presidential candidate from the ballot.

Bellows has taken contributions from the Soros family. George Soros established and funded the Secretary of State Project with exactly this action in mind:

The “Secretary of State Project“ was an American non-profit, progressive 527 political action committee focused on electing reform-minded progressive Secretaries of State in battleground states, who typically oversee the election process. The Project was funded by George Soros and members of the Democracy Alliance.

Bellows believes rules including voter ID laws are based in white supremacy.

Maine Secretary of State Shenna Bellows made the claim while giving testimony to the legislature in April 2021, expressing her opposition to proposed state laws that would require voters to show photo identification to cast a ballot.

“Passing these bills would mean putting into statute discriminatory practices rooted in White supremacy,” Bellows said during her testimony. “Today, voter ID laws are the new means of voter suppression.”

In which other civilized nation on Earth are there no voter ID requirements for voting? I’ll wait, Shenna.

She removed Trump form the Maine ballot base on Youtube videos and news reports.

Bellows has abandoned what she once called “the premise of democracy.”

Bellows previously posted, “The fundamental right of any American citizen to vote freely, fairly and to have their vote counted is the premise of our democracy.”

Bellows may have even SWATed herself.

Bellows’ decision has been widely ridiculed

However, in response, Brett Tolman, a former U.S. attorney and executive director of Right on Crime, slammed Bellows’ decision in a post on X, formerly Twitter. He called it “mind-boggling and comical.”

Adams, Johnson, Wu, Johnston and Bellows are lunatics with something in common. They have all flown over the cuckoo’s nest.

And cleared it by a wide margin.

You sit there and wonder “How on Earth did they get to where they are?”
