Actually, it took Obama to unite Middle Eastern nations against Iran. Obama sucking up to the terrorist state forced them to reconsider their past animosity towards Israel. And when Democrats tried to push through a ballot that was clearly illegal (for what ever reason) I was on the phone with the Secretary of State over the issue. We have election laws, and they can’t be changed at the last minute by a Elections Manager, a Governor or a judge. The U.S. Constitution does not allow for dispensation due to a pandemic.

Also, I was precinct captain for several years and have extensive knowledge of how precinct voting works in my state. This is what makes Trump’s voter fraud claims so nutty and why they don’t go anywhere in court.
Precincts generally have 4 or more poll workers depending on the population size, equal numbers from each party. A register is provided by the County Clerk with the names and addresses of registered voters of that precinct. The voter wanting to vote has to have his/her name on the list and signs the register. And this same processed applies to mail in ballots as they are confirmed and process by poll workers of both parties working together.
In GA, the recount confirmed consistent with the paper ballots.
Trump enablers refuse to hear such things.

@retire05: Our system of government relies on honest people following the laws. It is difficult to stop those, like the Democrats, who are determined to cheat, lie, steal and commit fraud. It can be identified, prosecuted and punished, but stopping it in the act relies on honest people.

One of the issues with this guy is that he has misused his powers of office to obstruct investigations that would otherwise have taken him out of office. That magical power evaporates on January 20, by which time he will have availed himself of another magical power you bestowed upon him—that of issuing pardons for any and all federal crimes committed while in office. He may do it himself; alternately, he may make Pence King for a Day and Pence may do the honors. My first guess is that it will be the former, owing to the size of Donald’s ego; but I suppose his ego might be better satisfied with a resignation, so he could tell himself he left as a result of his own decision. It doesn’t really matter to me, so long as January 20 marks the beginning of a return to sanity in the nation’s capital.

The Mueller report provided plenty of evidence that led to multiple indictments and convictions of members of Trump’s orbit. It was made clear there was no exoneration of Trump because he was immune to prosecution (for now).
Trump’s very own legal team conceded to “mountains of evidence “ but it was clear the Republican senate would exonerate him regardless of evidence. That’s a known fact- that guilty or not, they’d make sure he was not. They even said so.
I’ve said since Trump took office that you simply can’t reason with a Trump licker and the above points prove so. You can’t acknowledge Trump’s bribery of Ukraine regardless of his admissions or evidence and you can’t conceive a possibility of Russian collusion, money laundering, or foreign shenanigans even with a smoking gun in Trump’s hand anymore than you stand behind Trump’s claim of “building the greatest economy ever” even though there is no legislations or actions to prove that or that the BLS numbers debunk it. If Trump indicates masks are overrated in fighting COVID, you nod in agreement despite overwhelming scientific evidence to the contrary. And I could go on and on with Trump’s explosive deficit he’s leaving or the virus “rounding the curve” or our present economic condition or that a “Wall” (paid by Mexico) was a cure for our immigration issues or global warming or the probability of Trump’s massive pardons including himself. Flynn’s case was based on entrapment, FBI lies and suppressed exonerating evidence. Manafort’s “conviction” was for a “crime” committed 12 years prior and, as later revealed, based on a bogus “black ledger”, something Democrats knew. And, since you scurried away from my question earlier, Mueller himself very clearly and emphatically dispelled any and all accusations of Trump obstructing ANYTHING. The House of Representatives just voted to federally decriminalize marijuana, impose a 5 percent tax on sales to raise revenue for community and small businesses programs, and to allow states to determine their own regulatory postures—which, by the way, they are doing already. The bill passed with strong bipartisan support.
The Republican majority Senate is expected to kill the bill on sight, because… Well, just because. Never mind that 84 percent of the public favor decriminalization. Never mind that 15 states now have legalized recreational use, and 35 have legalized medical use.
McConnell’s excuse is an accusation that Democrats are wasting time on such legislation when there’s a pressing need for COVID-19 relief—as if the Senate has been on top of that problem.
They could of course just take up the bill and quickly pass it, then there would be no wasted time. That would quickly stop the estimated $7.7 billion wasted annually on enforcement of marijuana prohibition, transforming something that people are doing anyway into a significant revenue source.
