Donald Trump has taken a beating from the left wing media for his remarks about Haiti. He touched the third rail of politics- he told the truth. What you may have not taken note of is that while the media pounds Trump for what he said, not one of them has tried to disprove his comments. We need not argue this with words. Videos will tell the tale

And this one, which for some reason I cannot get to embed, in which a young woman teaches a lesson about Haiti. In this video, she talks about kidnapping.
And in particular, this one produced four weeks before the earthquake. It opens with the words
“It was hell then. Imagine the horror now.”
Crime? Did anyone ask about crime? From the US State Department:
Haiti 2016 Crime & Safety Report
Overall Crime and Safety Situation
Post Crime Rating: CriticalHaiti is unique in the Caribbean for its relative lack of tourism, scarcity of foreign investment, and inferior infrastructure.
Crime Threats
Crime statistics are woefully underreported by the Haitian National Police (HNP), and reports indicating that Haiti is statistically safer than other countries in the Caribbean are inaccurate.
Traditional tourist-oriented crimes (pickpocketing, purse snatching) are less frequently reported than elsewhere in the region.
The most frequently reported crimes against U.S. citizens in Port-au-Prince are aggravated assaults and robberies. A typical mugging in Port-au-Prince involves a group of young males who surround and overwhelm their victim in a public area. Reports of robberies of Haitian-Americans visiting Haiti appear to increase around the popular holiday seasons, but that appears to correlate with an overall increase in visitor traffic. Armed robberies against motorists and pedestrians remain a serious concern. In recent years, a number of people have been robbed as soon as they departed Port-au-Prince’s Toussaint L’Ouverture airport. Banks continue to be a frequent location for armed robberies. Motorcycle-mounted assailants frequently follow their victims a short distance from the bank in order to stop and rob them in a less public area. Shootings during these incidents are common.
Vehicle break-ins and thefts from vehicles, occupied or empty, occur frequently. Unattended vehicles with visible valuables are subject to break-ins. There have also been reports of pedestrians opening unlocked doors of idling vehicles and snatching valuables.
Crimes against persons, including gender-based violence, remain a serious problem.
Violent crime appears to remain predominantly gang-related or robbery-related. Gang-related violent crime continues to be centralized in specific areas of Port-au-Prince, in particular Cité Soleil, but these areas are not traditional tourist or business areas. Organized crime appears as small, organized, criminal gang activity, such as that of kidnapping gangs.
Homicides continue to be a major concern in Haiti. In 2015, there were 1,071 reported homicides, with 70 percent occuring in Port-au-Prince.
Port Au Prince does not have a sewer system.
Conan O’Brien plans to take his show to Haiti. O’Brien must know a lot about Haiti and clearly has learned about it from his palatial home:
I will be interested to see if O’Brien does his show from the Abaka Bay Resort or the NBC studios in downtown Port Au Prince. I will also be curious about the security measures O’Brien takes. Then we’ll see if O’Brien ever mentions Haiti again after his virtue-signaling ratings seeking production.
Without a doubt the people of Haiti are largely really nice but trapped in a vile and corrupt system. It won’t get any better by emptying the country of its population. The change has to come from within.
Ever wonder why the Clinton Foundation has packed up and left?
Haiti is a sh*thole and on many levels. Far worse than Trump’s remarks is the denial by the press of the truth which that does nothing but block Haiti’s recovery. Slamming Trump politically is more important than helping the people of Haiti.
DrJohn has been a health care professional for more than 40 years. In addition to clinical practice he has done extensive research and has published widely with over 70 original articles and abstracts in the peer-reviewed literature. DrJohn is well known in his field and has lectured on every continent except for Antarctica. He has been married to the same wonderful lady for over 45 years and has three kids- two sons, both of whom are attorneys and one daughter who is in the field of education.
DrJohn was brought up with the concept that one can do well if one is prepared to work hard but nothing in life is guaranteed.
Except for liberals being foolish.
It’s clear that the purpose of the ranting by the dumbocraps is to run Trump down, at the expense of the people of Haiti. If there is someone that really thinks Haiti is not a sh!thole, then they clearly don’t understand what the word means. So next time the Dumbocraps want money for Haiti releif, I think we should refuse to send any more money to ‘paradise’ and let them send us some to get the US up to Haitian standards.
Haiti has always been depressed and poverty stricken. However, their earthquake offered the opportunity for an infusion of money for a total reconstruction.
Enter the Clinton’s.
Like they do whenever they see a money-making opportunity, they circled a bit, then swooped in, collected millions and millions in charitable donations, turned a few friends on to the money-making gold mine, took the money and ran. Now, not only has Haiti been ravaged by an earthquake, but much of the resources that were available for rebuilding have been soaked up by the Clinton’s criminal friends and family.
Perhaps, like the Russian collusion “investigation”, the attention of the accusation of Trump’s remark might focus attention on where Haiti stands after over a decade of the Clinton’s “charitable work”.
You are missing the point. The issue with Trump’s comments is not what he said about Haiti (the literal truth), it was his (possible) implication that people from Haiti are worthless and we don’t want any of them. That’s what people are upset about. You’re argument is a straw man and a waste of time because it doesn’t address the issue at hand.
@Steve D:
That is an implication to be found only if one wants to. Fact of the matter is, first, that Trump didn’t make the remark. That is confirmed. However, it is a fact that Haiti and other countries are depressed regions and we have enough of those people, thank you very much. Trump’s point, with the wall, chain migration and the immigration lottery is that we should vett and be selective with whom we allow to come into the country…. like every other country on the planet does.
But, indeed, the entire contrived faux outrage does not address the issue or further the argument.
@Steve D: Implication? If you start looking for a wife, Steve, would you start looking in the sh!thole of Haiti or some other, perhaps, more refined place? I’ve been to very many sh!thole countries and my first thoughts are ‘man, we need to get more people like this into the US to get our average person quality down more.. Yep the Democrats don’t support enough thugs now, let’s bring in more of the street thugs from Port Au Prince into your hometown. I’m sure you would contribute toward their air fare.
Its always that liberals ignore the facts and spew their own lies abiyt everything the media vultures and sharks having another big time feeding freinzie over this
Did the crooked Hilary Clinton foundation buy them the shiny new honey bucket trucks?
@Buffalobob: Those are trucks unloading some of the speeches she never got to make.
