If Roy Moore did all he was accused of, he would fit perfectly into the real liberal culture

Roy Moore has been taking flak non-stop from the left (and some in the right) about his alleged contacts with several young girls back in the 70’s. It is asserted that there are holes in the stories of the accusers and Gloria Allred, who represents one of the accusers, claims to have a yearbook with what she alleges is Moore’s writing but she refuses to allow an independent analysis of the handwriting.

Moore steadfastly refutes the accusations.

The RNC, which had stopped supporting Moore, is now back on board and Donald Trump has fully endorsed Moore. Even Chuck Norris has endorsed Moore.

But the truth is, all that is sort of irrelevant. The left should be rushing to endorse Moore. If any of the above is true, Moore is their kind of guy. Back in 1983, Congressman Gerry Studds was caught having an relationship with a 17 year old male page. He was censured but he did not resign. democrats took away Studds’ chairmanship of the House Merchant Marine Subcommittee but seven years later gave it back. At his first town meeting following his censure, his supporters gave him a standing ovation.

Let’s use that as a backdrop.

The 2018 Oscars are nearing and buzz is building for movies worthy of awards. One of THE most buzzed-about movies is one called “Call Me by Your Name.” Here’s where it gets interesting. Liberal audiences LOVE this movie.

Since its Jan. 22 debut at the Sundance Film Festival, critics have not stopped raving over Call Me by Your Name.

According to Vulture, Sundance audiences were enamored with the film, and Armie Hammer is a shoe-in for a Best Actor nom.

They LOVE it.

An hour after the sensational Call Me by Your Name unspooled for the first time at the Sundance Film Festival, director Luca Guadagnino and his stars Armie Hammer and Timothée Chalamet gathered in a cramped little room for a post-premiere ritual: the reading of the tweets.

“Standing ovation at Sundance for Call Me by Your Name,” Guadagnino recited in his thick Italian accent, “which is beautiful visually, emotionally, and, my god, sexually.”

Guadagnino continued scrolling through his smart phone and read another: “I’m on a cinematic high from Call Me by Your Name still. Dancing around the streets, can’t stop thinking about it. This film. THIS FILM.”

It got a standing ovation. What is the movie about?

It is a coming of age movie about a relationship between a 30-something year old man and a 17 year old. Sound familiar?

If a relationship between a thirty year old and a seventeen year old is Oscar worthy to liberals, it seems to me there’s nothing to the liberal argument against Moore. If the accusations against Moore were true, Moore would rest comfortably into the cultural fabric of the left. They make all kinds of noise about sexual harassment and pedophilia and such but when it comes down it this is their thing. This is what stirs their senses.

Perhaps Moore should get some kind of award, an Oscar or even a Nobel Prize  maybe, for something he might do.
