Obama has got to stop inspiring cop killing

“If they bring a knife to the fight, we bring a gun.”

-Barack Obama, 2008

Enough. Yes, obama is inciting violence against cops and he’s got to stop.

It started with Henry Gates. Without knowing a single fact, obama accused the cops of “acting stupidly”:

“But I think it’s fair to say, No. 1, any of us would be pretty angry; No. 2, that the Cambridge police acted stupidly in arresting somebody when there was already proof that they were in their own home; and, No. 3 … that there’s a long history in this country of African-Americans and Latinos being stopped by law enforcement disproportionately.”

The incident, Obama said, shows “how race remains a factor in this society.”

Race had nothing to do with Gates’ arrest and the arresting officer was supported by his boss:

Haas described Sergeant James M. Crowley as a “stellar member’’ of the department who had “tried to deescalate the situation’’ before he arrested Gates last week on the porch of Gates’s Cambridge house. Haas emphatically said that Gates’s arrest was not racially tinged.

“He [Crowley] tried to move away from the situation, and, when he wasn’t successful, he used arrest as a last resort,’’ Haas said at a packed news conference at police headquarters. “I do not believe his actions were in any way racially motivated.’’

Obama is utterly incapable of admitting being wrong about anything, but invited Crowley and Gates for a beer summit. It was too late. The damage was done. obama had smeared the incident as racism from a cop.

Then there was Trayvon Martin:

“You know, if I had a son, he’d look like Trayvon,” Mr. Obama said.

“All of us have to do some soul-searching to figure out how does something like this happen,” he continued. “And that means that we examine the laws and the context for what happened as well as the specifics of the incident.”

You know, as in racism, since George Zimmerman was acquitted:

“The African-American community is also knowledgeable that there is a history of racial disparities in the application of our criminal laws, everything from the death penalty to enforcement of our drug laws,” he said. “And that ends up having an impact in terms of how people interpret the case.”

Then there was Ferguson. There was not a “smidgen” of evidence that racism was involved, but obama made sure racism became part of the narrative:

“In too many communities around the country, a gulf of mistrust exists between local residents and law enforcement,” Mr. Obama said. “Too many young men of color feel targeted by law enforcement — guilty of walking while black or driving while black, judged by stereotypes that fuel fear and resentment and hopelessness.”

More recently, despite any evidence of it, obama made sure the shootings of Alton Sterling and Philano Castile carried the racism label:

ST. PAUL — President Obama, reacting with the same horror as many Americans to a grisly video of a bloody, dying man in Minnesota who was shot by the police, begged the nation to confront the racial disparities in law enforcement while acknowledging the dangers that officers face.

“When incidents like this occur, there’s a big chunk of our citizenry that feels as if, because of the color of their skin, they are not being treated the same, and that hurts, and that should trouble all of us,” Mr. Obama said in a statement on Thursday after arriving in Warsaw for a NATO summit. “This is not just a black issue, not just a Hispanic issue. This is an American issue that we all should care about.”

He wasn’t going to wait for the completion of any investigation:

“We have seen news like this too many times,” Obama said. “All of us as Americans should be troubled by these shootings. These are not isolated incidents. They’re symptomatic of a broader set of racial disparities that exist in our criminal justice system.”

Judge obama rules that the cops are racist. Nevermind that Sterling is responsible for his own death. I still think the Castile shooting was a mistake in protocol by a scared cop, not racism unless there is proof otherwise.

Since obama’s latest accusations of racism eight officers have been slain. He’s got to stop inspiring these murders. He’s got to stop injecting racism into events at every opportunity where none exists. He’s got to stop issuing verdicts before the trial. He’s got to stop damning the police and the system at every turn. Not once has he addressed what these men could have done differently to avoid being killed- things like not carrying illegal weapons or resisting arrest.

There is no small irony that obama is doing to cops what he asks the country not do to Muslims. And he wants us to tamp down OUR inflammatory rhetoric.

He’s got to stop.

UPDATE

I forgot to add: the killings of cops- Moore, Liu and Ramos in NYC, the five cops in Dallas and the three in Baton Rouge- all by racially aggrieved black men.
