A former fetus, the “wordsmith from nantucket” was born in Phoenix, Arizona in 1968. Adopted at birth, wordsmith grew up a military brat. He achieved his B.A. in English from the University of California, Los Angeles (graduating in the top 97% of his class), where he also competed rings for the UCLA mens gymnastics team. The events of 9/11 woke him from his political slumber and malaise. Currently a personal trainer and gymnastics coach.
The wordsmith has never been to Nantucket.

Starting as a child and for most of my life I looked forward every Sunday morning to reading the comics found in the Washington Post. It was a big deal and something I did religiously until the Post finally morphed totally into nothing more than fish-wrap and wilderness toilet paper, about 20 years ago.
Finally, while searching for a replacement for decades, I came across your Sunday comics about a year ago.
I just want to say that even in this sadly changing world, your “Sunday funnies” like I found in the newspaper years ago are finally back. You make my Sundays a little more special again with my age old ritual of church, big breakfasts and the best comics in the world.
Thanks!
