Obama is spreading disease around the country but you don’t have a right to know where it’s going

contagion

Coming to a town near you, but you won’t know until it’s too late.

The news just keeps getting better and better. There is now a medical breakdown at the border site of the illegal invasion:

The federal government is so overwhelmed by the current tide of migrants crossing the border it can’t provide basic medical screening to all of the children before transporting them – often by air – to longer-term holding facilities across the country, ABC News has learned.

The director of refugee health in the federal Health and Human Services Department “has identified a breakdown of the medical screening processes at the Nogales, Arizona, facility,” according to an internal Department of Defense memo reviewed by ABC News. The “breakdown” a systemic failure of the handoff of these children between CBP and HHS.

Inside the government, officials are sounding alarms, fearing that they and their teams who come in contact with the sick children face potential exposure to infectious diseases from chicken pox to influenza, including rare cases of H1N1, more commonly called swine flu.

Two unaccompanied children were flown from Nogales to California despite having 101-degree fevers and flu-like symptoms, according to the Department of Defense memo. Those children had to be hospitalized.

The memo said pointedly that officials in charge of moving the immigrants from Border Patrol processing centers to Health and Human Services facilities are “putting sick [fevers and coughing] unaccompanied children on airplanes inbound for [Naval Base Ventura County] in addition to the chicken pox and coxsackie virus cases.”

Pneumonia, TB, influenza and more! The cover-up is underway

While confirming to ABC News the outbreak occurred, HHS would not respond to inquiries about the DOD memo showing sick children were knowingly sent to Naval Base Ventura prior to the outbreak.

And the best part? You’re not entitled to know where Obama is sending this contagion:

The White House won’t reveal where it is housing thousands of Central American juvenile migrants because their privacy rights trump Americans’ right to know what‘s happening in their neighborhoods, press secretary Josh Earnest declared July 16.

“The public does have a right to know what’s happening… [but] at the same time, there are privacy rights that are included in the law that this administration is committed to enforcing and following,” Earnest told Ed Henry, Fox News’ White House correspondent.

“We are not surprised in the least to see the Obama administration imitate the smugglers,” William Gheen, founder of Americans for Legal Immigration PAC, told The Daily Caller. “This is how smuggling operations work, this is what the smuggler-in-chief wants — secret planes and secret buses full of illegal immigrants.”

Got that? The privacy rights of those who entered this country illegally supersede your right to know where the infectious persons are being sent. Not even if it’s to your backyard.

GOP governors and legislators are also highlighting the administration’s secrecy. “They don’t want the public to know what is really going on,” Nebraska Republican Rep. Lee Terry told Fox News.

No sh*t. Secret camps. Disease being flown around the country. I’ll bet anything neither Sasha nor Malia will be anywhere near this, but your family might. To top it off: Obama vows to reduce deportations

Obama is headed to Martha’s Vineyard for a 16 day multimillion dollar vacation. I bet not one infected illegal is flown there.

Welcome to Obama’s Amerika.

Which is worse?
Bacterial pneumonia or
Streptococcus pneumonia?
Or is there any difference?
Our pneumonia vaccinations supposedly cover 23 different varieties.
Does it cover those two?
Why would border agents not be getting all sorts of preventative shots?
My friend, Sean, who joined border patrol in the late 1990’s just quit too early for retirement but in time to keep his own family safe. He told me he is not alone in leaving BP early.

It is already in Katy, TX in the form of Whopping Cough. Took one of the Indian doctors filling in for my regular doc to figure out what it was. He had not seen a case since he left India 30+ years before. I don’t have any respect for someone invading us and not caring about our health, sorry I just don’t care any longer about the rest of the 3rd world. This administration has beaten it out of me, thank them for my hard heart.

Guatemalan children have a higher vaccination rate against many communicable diseases than children do in some U.S. states.

The right wing propaganda mill is now demonizing children to score political points.

Good for them, maybe they can take the 11-50 million illegals that we have. Why should I be forced to pay one dime for foreign children here or there? You have every right to do so, just don’t require me to do so on your behalf.

@Rob in Katy, #4:

Ask all the people who voted for and signed into law the William Wilberforce Trafficking Victims Protection Reauthorization Act of 2008.

It doesn’t matter who voted for anything if your buttplug would get off his ass and do one of the few jobs the federal government is mandated to do – defend the damn country! Oh, FCUK Bush too and Reagan for starting this bullshit.

@Greg:

Ask all the people who voted for and signed into law the William Wilberforce Trafficking Victims Protection Reauthorization Act of 2008.

Which was the reauthorization of the bill of 2007 that reauthorized the bill of 2005 which reauthorized the original bill that was passed, and signed by Bill Clinton, in 2000.

Oh, but then you knew that, Greggie, as I had given you that information before. But like all progressives, you never want to miss the opportunity to blame Bush.

@Greg: Greg, do you have any idea what vaccines you cited for Guatemalan children? You have no idea what you are talking about. The vaccines you cited are just a small part of the vaccines children and adults are given in the US. Why do you always try to snow people with bogus data? Shouldn’t you take the lefty position that “If it would save only one child, it is worth it!”. Isn’t that the strategy behind the EPA controlling the water and air particulates well beyond acceptable limits?

“The public does have a right to know what’s happening… [but] at the same time, there are privacy rights that are included in the law that this administration is committed to enforcing and following,” Earnest told Ed Henry, Fox News’ White House correspondent.

They all left their privacy rights back home in their native country. They are on my nickel now, 100% and I have every right to know where they are going, what sickness they have and how long they are going to stay.

@Greg:

Guatemalan children have a higher vaccination rate against many communicable diseases than children do in some U.S. states.

It doesn’t appear their inoculations have had the desired effect, does it, Greg? If your idol wasn’t laying out treats to lure these infestations into our country, then dangerously disperse them throughout there would be no points to be made. Fact is, your guy is scoring NEGATIVE points by screwing everything up, ignoring crisis after crisis, going fundraising then on vacation. He is utterly worthless.

And, the issue is not the law, it is the enticement to enter the country illegally that Obama, Holder and the rest of the merry band of idiots provide.

Randy: he is a liberal, they all lie, every fucking one of them. I had a few friends that were liberal, I didn’t care, we had the same interests we liked beer, but I got tired of all the lies. I would still do anything for anyone of them, but I don’t want to hear their shit anymore.

WE DON’T SEE OR HEAR OF THOSE AGENCIES SUPPOSE TO DO ALL KIND OF SHIT restrictions
ON THE LAW ABIDING CITIZENS, as stupid and bothering as wanting to protect their water hole,
this big arrival of so many inter swiping virus desease, to a nation not imune of the new spring virus,

OH THERE IS A LAW TO PROTECT THEM,
WHAT GOOD IS THAT LAW IF IT KILL the AMERICANS THAT,S A PRIORITY TO ANY LAWS, THEY HERE ARE THE PRIORITY,
WHAT? HE SAID, THAT PRIORITY IS THAT YOU MADE THE LAW, I LIVE HERE AND IT INFRINGE THE PEOPLE’S RIGHTS, SO CHANGE YOUR LAW, SO THIS NATION CAN SURVIVE ANY POTENTIAL BLACK DEATH,

Girls as young as 9 are being given birth control pills by their own ”loving” parents lest the girls get raped along their way north.
Sheesh!
What is THAT going to do to their hormonal balance?
Seems as though the parents are enabling sex trafficking.
Of their own daughters!
So, maybe there is no misinterpretation of this 2008 law.
but, if you love your child WHY on earth serve her up to sexual slavery?

I have no idol. A lot of people do appear to have a Super Villain, however.

Hopefully propaganda characterizing the kids caught between the dysfunction in their own nations and the political dysfunction here as a disease-ridden infestation will be reined in before somebody begins recycling old Nazi propaganda footage featuring rats swarming up out of a sewer grate.

I saw some elected idiot from Georgia yesterday, suggesting there were concerns on the southern border about ebola. The guy is actually a physican, and was still spreading this sort of fear. I think there’s a good reason why the kids’ temporary locations are being kept out of the news.

@retire05, #7:

Oh, but then you knew that, Greggie, as I had given you that information before.

You have, indeed, repeated this every time the matter has come up. What you totally ignore is the fact that the legislation is presently in effect only because it was reauthorized by Congress and signed into law by the President of the United States in late 2008. Every provision of the bill was subject to reconsideration and modification during the course of that reauthorization process. Congress also had the option of not reauthorizing it at all.

@Greg:

Well, if you’re so much more knowledgeable about communicable diseases than a trained physician, and an expert about what vaccinations these children have received, why aren’t you down there voluntarily to tell these kids and those treating them that, “no, that they don’t really have these illnesses” and to share with the illegal kid wranglers your superior medical knowledge?

@Ditto:
Greg read that in a UK article.
The same article about how vaccination rates are higher in some countries than here (because up until now we didn’t have huge outbreaks!)

Ebola is out of control according to the WHO.
Right now it is centered in Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone where over 600 people have died.
It is the deadliest outbreak of Ebola in 40 years.
There is panic.
There is fleeing.
Only one form of ebola is found in the USA, Reston ebolavirus, but in animals, not humans.

Rich Africans from these places are trying to get into the US, legally or illegally to avoid the possible infection with ebola.

Ebola viruses are highly infectious as well as contagious.
Governments and individuals often quickly respond to quarantine the area while the lack of roads and transportation in many parts of Africa helps to contain the outbreak.
Airline crews are trained to spot the symptoms of Ebola in passengers flying from places where the virus is found. Crews are told to quarantine anyone who looks infected.
http://www.cdc.gov/vhf/ebola/

None of these procedures are being followed in our border transporting of illegals.
That’s the problem.
IF a human ebola does get inside the border, nothing will stop its spread.
The border authorities are doing no diagnostics, no vaccinations, so to say there is NO this or NO that is absurd.

EVERY disease that gets in with these ”children” gets a free run to wherever they go.
And, in many cases, the American public is not as well protected from the infections these ”children” do carry as they were in the past.

If we no longer quarantine Americans for TB, and we refuse to quarantine Americans for HIV/AIDS, what reason do we have to believe ebola cases would be quarantined?

@Greg: Yes, Greg, you idolize Mr. Obama. You refuse to accept the possibility that he can err. You defend every action he takes (or, in many cases, doesn’t take). You support what he is and what he strives to achieve. Yes, you idolize him.

In many respects, he IS a super villain. He has an agenda to socialize medicine, socialize the energy industry, socialize the nation. He has an agenda to subvert the practice of religious worship. He has an agenda to remove the free choice from citizens and replace it with governmental mandate. He has an agenda to disarm Americans to make his agenda easier to implement.

And, at play here, he has an agenda to dilute and wipe out the white majority and replace it with people from foreign nations. In his haste to accomplish this, he is ignoring the safety of the American people. He, of course, can do this because the media and sycophants like yourself will reach back and find some legislation signed a decade ago to divert attention away from the crimes currently being committed.

Obama is so intent on, for the first time, following a law yet the law says these new illegal immigrants must face a hearing, not be dispersed throughout the nation (oh, except for San Francisco, Nevada, Colorado, New York, Illinois and other liberal enclaves). How about that? The primary failure here is the failure to secure the border. These people should not be let in. Of course, once Obama has drawn them in here, we have the humanitarian responsibility to care for them… but not to allow them to spread disease throughout the populace.

You are so secure with this program, why don’t you invite a couple dozen to come live in your house, sleep on your pillows, sit on your furniture? That, of course, is totally out of the question, isn’t it? Just like it is out of the question that Nancy will take any of them in to San Francisco or Harry will allow a few ten thousand into Nevada to be spread around Vegas. Liberals simply expect everyone else to clean up their messes and pay the price. Never them.

Millions of employees of the Federal Government. Millions. And they can’t get the help they need to process these kids?

How absolutely pathetic.

The right is the disease spreading stupidity and hate in this country at an alarming rate.

@Bill: “He has an agenda to socialize medicine, socialize the energy industry, socialize the nation. He has an agenda to subvert the practice of religious worship. ”

Wow, you’re gonna have to explain this stupidity to me in detail. Geez! Glenn Beck much or what? Lol!

Greggie, I often wonder who taught you your method of debate. You see, I fully understand that you use the least amount of facts in order to make a claim. But when all the facts are presented, your argument falls apart.

Yes, the bill was “reauthorized” in 2008. Now the reason you have not been on this board pointing your bony little finger at this Republican and that Republican for voting for the bill is because it was done on a voice vote, not a roll call vote, and was unanimous due to the loudest voices. It also was to cover only those children that had been “trafficked”, not those that had been “smuggled” and there is a major difference in the two, at least according to Obama’s ICE. Nor do you mention that a unanimous vote is veto proof.

But surprise, surprise, the Obama administration has found a bill that they support enforcing, provided they can twist it to mean something it does not, and use 2014 funding to enforce it although that funded expired in 2011.

Greggie, surely you would be happier at some blog where you could spew your sycophant blabber to all the uninformed masses?

@Rob in Katy:

We are thinking alike and I’ll throw relatives in the mix as well. It’s to the point where you can’t even hold an honest conversation with the them anymore because it spills over. More and more people I know are taking the same attitude as far as just staying away from them. Eventually we’ll have a country so divided that neither side will talk to the other. That’s when the situation will get hairy.

@johnnygeneric, #18:

Millions of employees of the Federal Government. Millions. And they can’t get the help they need to process these kids?

How absolutely pathetic.

The millions of employees of the Federal Government are not all Immigration Court Judges. Of those, there are but a relative handful. There are so few that all of their names can be listed. You’ll find them on this page listed under each state in the third column from the right.

As has been noted elsewhere, the law Congress made requires that each unaccompanied immigrant kid from a non-contiguous nation have a hearing. The Immigration Court case backlog is nearly 400,000. There’s the Obama administration’s problem in a nutshell. There’s no legal provision that would allow the kids to be immediately loaded into catapults and launched southward back over the border.

@retire05:

Greggie, I often wonder who taught you your method of debate. You see, I fully understand that you use the least amount of facts in order to make a claim. But when all the facts are presented, your argument falls apart.

That’s because you simply ignore or pretend to refuted any facts that you dislike, which isn’t a legitimate form of debate at all. Nor is it a habit of thought that leads to reliable conclusions. I imagine this goes a long way toward explaining the far right’s disconnect from reality.

@Greg:

As has been noted elsewhere, the law Congress made requires that each unaccompanied immigrant kid from a non-contiguous nation have a hearing.

OK, bright boy, since only approx. 20% of those coming across our southern border illegally are UAC, why don’t you show us the section, and paragraph, of HR 7311 that requires illegals from non-contiguous nations who are, in fact, considered families since they are parents and children, to have a immigration hearing and not just be immediately deported.

My guess is you will just ignore this request like you ignore anything else that doesn’t meet with your agenda.

But then, if you don’t provide the section of HR 7311 that requires immigration hearings for accompanied children who are with a parent, or other family member, I have no other option than to understand that the bill doesn’t provide for them, only providing for children that are “trafficked” and not “smuggled” and that is why you don’t provide the section.

Or………………….you’re just too stupid to understand the bill.

Democrats who oppose changing the law to allow quicker removals of families and unaccompanied young people illegally crossing the southwestern border into the U.S. often argue that those entering the country illegally are entitled to a “day in court.”

The illegal immigrants “should be given their days in court,” said Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi on Thursday. “The kids should have their day in court,” said Democratic Rep. Joaquin Castro before a White House meeting this week. Young people should be given “a meaningful day in court to protect their rights under our laws,” added Democratic Rep. Luis Gutierrez.

Now, new numbers released by the House Judiciary Committee show the “vast majority” of unaccompanied minors seeking asylum are granted it before even appearing before a judge. “

Information from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) that shows 65 percent of unaccompanied alien minors’ asylum applications have been immediately approved by asylum officers in Fiscal Year 2014,”

says a Judiciary Committee statement. “And this is just the first bite of the apple. Many more cases can be approved later. Where an asylum officer does not approve the application, it is then referred to an immigration judge where the applicant can try again. If that fails, they can continue to appeal their case.”
The Judiciary Committee says asylum approval rates have “increased dramatically” under the Obama administration. Overall, according to the committee statement, “Approval rates by asylum officers have increased from 28 percent in 2007 to 46 percent in 2013 and approval rates by immigration judges in affirmative cases have increased from 51 percent in 2007 to 74 percent in 2013.” And that does not count appeals.

“Once individuals are granted asylum,” the report notes, “they have access to all major federal welfare programs.”

Complicating matters, according to the committee, is the rate of fraud in asylum cases. The committee says “an internal Department of Homeland Security report” has shown that “at least 70 percent of asylum cases contain proven or possible fraud.”

http://washingtonexaminer.com/report-vast-majority-of-asylum-claims-granted/article/2551007?custom_click=rss

So much for Greggie’s “they are required to go in front of a judge” excuse.

@retire05, #25:

Try H.R. 7311, SEC. 235, Enhancing efforts to combat the trafficking of children. It begins halfway down page 84 of the linked PDF.

(a)(2) subparagraph (A) spells out specifically what must be determined to be the true on an individual case basis by Homeland Security before subparagraph (B) can be applied. If subparagraph (B) cannot be applied, we arrive at the following:

(3) RULE FOR OTHER CHILDREN- The custody of unaccompanied alien children not described in paragraph (2)(A) who are apprehended at the border of the United States or at a United States port of entry shall be treated in accordance with subsection (b).

A read through of subsection (b), and then (c) and (d) should provide an idea of the legal complications that follow. Considering the existence of a nearly 400,000 case backlog, it’s hard not to appreciate subsection (d)(2), which requires that a formal Section 101(a)(27)(J) adjudication be rendered within 180 days. That’s quite simply a complete impossibility. So, the kids are stuck in a legal holding pattern, until the law is changed, or unless a lot more manpower and resources are made available to deal with the backlogs.

I suggest you read the applicable sections of the bill and think through how those provisions work in the real world, rather than relying upon something that appeared in the Washington Times.

@Greg:

(3) RULE FOR OTHER CHILDREN- The custody of unaccompanied alien children not described in paragraph (2)(A) who are apprehended at the border of the United States or at a United States port of entry shall be treated in accordance with subsection (b).

A alien child who is accompanied by mother, father, older brother, uncle, aunt or other family member is NOT an unaccompanied alien child.

Remember that, Greggie? Now, show us the part of the bill that required accompanied children to have an immigration hearing, or are you too stupid to find that section?

@Greg:

I suggest you read the applicable sections of the bill and think through how those provisions work in the real world, rather than relying upon something that appeared in the Washington Times.

I suggest you debate from the text of the bill, not your fictitious “real world” personal opinion.

@retire05, #28:

A alien child who is accompanied by mother, father, older brother, uncle, aunt or other family member is NOT an unaccompanied alien child.

True. But accompanied children are not the group that have been in the news lately. It’s the flood of unaccompanied minor children from non-contiguous countries who are being escorted north and dumped on our doorstep that are the current hot button issue.

The right seems to believe they’re a problem because of something Obama is failing to do. This is simply not true. The problem has to do with exploitation of a legal provision created by Congress, which Congress must now fix if it expects to get different results.

@Greg:

True.

OK, so you finally admit that HR 7311 does NOT cover children that have been accompanied by a family member and were simply smuggled into the U.S. At least it’s a start.

But accompanied children are not the group that have been in the news lately. It’s the flood of unaccompanied minor children from non-contiguous countries who are being escorted north and dumped on our doorstep that are the current hot button issue.

Are you freaking nuts? Have you not seen the photographs of all the illegal mothers, walking hand in hand with their children, in all the photographs that have been all over the news? My God, Greggie, you are absolutely the most delusional person to every find his way to this blog.

Now, since you admit that accompanied children are NOT covered by HR 7311, why isn’t Obama deporting them?

@retire05, #31:

OK, so you finally admit that HR 7311 does NOT cover children that have been accompanied by a family member and were simply smuggled into the U.S. At least it’s a start.

Admit it? I never said it did in the first place. I’m not aware of anyone who has made that claim. And I’m not going to follow you down another digressive series of comments while you gradually ramp up the personal insults, either. I know the m.o. by now.

@Greg:

Admit it? I never said it did in the first place.

Then why are these illegals not being deported immediately?

@This one:

Wow, you’re gonna have to explain this stupidity to me in detail. Geez! Glenn Beck much or what? Lol!

You have proven time and time again that it is impossible to explain complex conditions to the morbidly stupid, so I have given up trying. Just read the comments and then look around you at the reality. Add the two together.

There. You have it. You’re welcome.

Murrieta Mutiny: Border Patrol “Will Not Obey Unlawful Orders” From Homeland Security and White House

According to the whistleblower, who has thus far remained anonymous for fear of reprisal, the Department of Homeland Security on orders from the White House was preparing to disperse the protesters with physical force if necessary. Federal riot police were being mobilized, complete with riot gear, body armor and armored personnel carriers.

When local law enforcement and border patrol agents, many of whom live in Murrieta, got wind of the plot they reportedly pushed back against the Federal government and themselves protested behind closed doors.

In an exclusive expose regarding the immigration standoff in Murrieta, California, it was revealed by a confidential informant inside the Murrieta U.S. Border Patrol facility that the real reason busses stopped delivering illegal immigrants was due to a virtual mutiny within the U.S. Border Patrol ranks.

A recorded telephone interview with a highly credible and prominent Murrieta community leader on Sunday July 14, 2014 when it was revealed that frontline U.S. Border Patrol agents threatened to stand down if the Department of Homeland Security executed a plan to use force upon protestors [sic] if they impeded buses transporting undocumented immigrants into the Murrieta processing facility.

“Most of the Border Patrol agents here at this facility are residents of Murrieta, and when they found out that the DHS was going to come in with riot gear, the agents declared that they would not obey any unlawful orders which violate the Constitutional rights of peaceful protestors.” said the informant.

“Our contact inside the U.S. Border Patrol told us that we do not even realize how impactful the protest was….it was a shot heard around the world….all the way back to Guatemala; Mexico, and not just the U.S. Government….the influx of immigrants coming over the border has decreased from 1500 per day down to 800 per day…cut almost in half as a direct result of what we’ve done.”

The front line U.S. Border Patrol agents are essentially refusing to perform any unconstitutional act upon the protesters, and they let their intentions be known to their superiors. As a result, the Department of Homeland Security could not proceed with delivery of another busload of illegal immigrants to Murrieta due to the lack of support by Murrieta Police Officers, as well as Border Patrol Agents who are stedfast in upholding their oath to defend and support the Constitution of the United States.

@Greg: wow it must be the border patrol infecting the “children”why do they come here to get disease gregory the 900th?ask this one when you are done nursing it

@This one: and you spread bad breath and stupidity every time you open your greggie love hole

@This one: if it was really stupid ,you would already understand ;that is your language

@Bill: asking this one to add simple numbers has probably caused him to bash his head uncontrollably against the wall till gregory the400th comes in to scratch the nape of his neck

The fact is that Guatemala, like many other poorly developed South American countries, has far more contagious disease outbreaks, and carriers, per capita than the United States. This very serious problem is, of course, due to a lack of modern sewage and water treatment facilities in large parts of these countries. Meanwhile, extremely poor hygiene and food storage practices only serve to make things even worse in such 3rd world countries.

No amount of liberal DemRino propaganda from our resident trolls can hide these facts.

obamarhhea
hi,
yes his bad breath is a real virus,

NOW HE IS STUCK, HE DUNNO TO DO THE RIGHT THING,
SO HE IS DOING THE WRONG THING, TO KEEP THEM,

PROVING HE IS A FOREIGNER IN MINDSET,
BYE

Ditto
thank”s for telling us here< nobody heard that before,
THANK GOD FOR THE ONES STANDING UP, TO PROTECT THE CITIZENS,
AND THE CONSTITUTION,
USA, USA, USA, USA,
WITH ALL MY LOVE

Obama and the Lefties like to call leaders of immigration helping organizations like Baptist General Convention of Texas’ disaster recovery program, Baptist Child & Family Services, and Catholic Charities of Dallas leaders of ”faith-based groups.”
But Chris Liebrum, who leads the Baptist General Convention of Texas’ disaster recovery program leads an ACORN offshoot!
Kevin Dinnin, president of Baptist Child & Family Services, leads an ACORN offshoot!
Arne Nelson, president of Catholic Charities of Dallas, leads an ACORN offshoot.

Not one of those organizations is associated in any way with any religious group.
No churches.
No congregations.
No parishioners.
NONE!

They are the heads of government funded non-profits.
The name Baptist and Catholic is only to give the appearance of “religion” and add a dose of “charity” to the appearances.

Two days before this meeting with President Obama, on 7/7/14 Mr. Dinnin was given a grant from Health and Human Services in the amount of $190,707,505.
Over $190 million dollars just before he met with the President.
In 2014 alone BCFS has received almost $270 million.

The amounts awarded to these “faith based” groups in 2014 far exceeds the money ever given to the fraudulent social assistance group, ACORN.

HHS has spent on Unaccompanied Minor Children (under grant code 93676) since the President’s 2012 Deferred action program began:

@Nanny G:

All this big money started flowing in in September of last year: $ 457,903,301 + $ 269,802,396 = $727,705,697 to BCFS, almost for their operations in the San Antonio area. That’s a lot of money from the Federal government to a supposedly religious organization, and yes they do hold services, so how is that not the establishment of a church to service these illegal immigrants? Gee Obama. violating the separation between church and state to the tune of 3/4 of a billion in taxpayer dollars? That’s gotta be beat the all time church funding record for a single city. It must have been due to a prophesy, for how did they know in Sept of 2013 that there would be a need to set up part of Lackland Air Force Base for a supposedly unexpected flood of unoccupied children descending on Texas?

@Ditto:

If you go to the BCFS website, notice on thing odd: although located in San Antonio, the list of states it operates in does not include Texas. Also, here is something odd I stumbled across the other day:

PLEASE NOTE – Baptist Children’s Home and Family Services (BCHFS) is an Illinois based organization and is in NO WAY affiliated with BCFS, the San Antonio, TX based organization with is handling the infloux of unaccompanied immigrant minors in TX.

Home

Other Baptist groups are also distancing themselves from the San Antonio group, which I suspect has nothing to do with the Southern Baptist Convention church itself.

And no, I didn’t see any link to where BCFS actually held church services, just a tab for the services they provide, on your taxpayer dime, thank you very much.

And if you note, BCFS started receiving mega bucks from the government in 2012, the same year that Obama decided that he, and not Congress, could determine immigration laws.

From your link:

“Religious services are provided each Sunday if youth would like to participate,” said Krista Piferrer, executive vice president for external affairs at BCFS. Dan Trevino, associate pastor at Baptist Temple Church in San Antonio, provides five services each Sunday, she noted. The Roman Catholic archbishop of San Antonio also has presided over masses at the shelter. At Fort Sill, a nearby Catholic church and a nondenominational Protestant church offer Sunday worship services.

“BCFS has provided Spanish-language Bibles for youth as well, and many participate in weekly Bible study,” Piferrer said.

So BCFS doesn’t actually provide religious services (a.k.a Billy Graham for his charity) but farms it out to a Baptist church in San Antonio.

@retire05:

You are splitting hairs. Aside from the Catholic Church, in most Christian and Jewish religious organizations the clergy is “hired” by the Church/Temple directorship to provide religious services to those who come to their religious assembly services. Religious based aid organizations are still classified as non-profit religious organizations and are organized the same as any church or temple legal entity, and are all considered the same as far as the Federal Government is concerned. Now this doesn’t necessarily mean that BCHS is a traditional Temple, but neither is the Church of Scientology and that is without question also recognized as such by the government.

money sure talk in there,
